  1. Congratulations! I don’t think so, it hasn’t for me at least, but I’ve only travelled once since it was approved 😊 just be honest about the process
  2. Yey! Which page are you following that I’m not? 😅🙈
  3. Omg me too! Checking Facebook and here multiple times a day to look for updates!
  4. I am now so optimistic that I am hoping for some action on our case in 2 weeks! 😅 (we responded to RFE on April 5th)
  5. I think it is from submission of the last required document! We submitted the DS260, and paid but were slow on submitting some of the required documents, then we got this message: It took us total of 3 weeks between submitting the DS260 and all the required documents, and they were reviewed in March according to the timeline of the last submitted document. So this is good news! They seem to be getting faster and faster
  6. Hi there, I do not have much input on the petitioning for you child, however, have you looked into filing for citizenship? That way you can't lose your status at least. https://www.uscis.gov/n-400
  7. Well, we were on the phone with a supervisor, and those actually review the cases. Let's be positive! It might do something!! I am at least going to hope that 😊

    B1/B2 Will Do?

When you are in the US on a B1/B2 you can not work. No in-person working, no remote working, no working period. Answering a couple of work calls while on vacation is not the same as conducting actual work while being in the US. You are trying to find a way around these rules. There are none. Get a work visa or an immigrant visa, and you can work as much as your heart desires.
  9. If you have a Facebook account I suggest you join the group "Utah Marriages- Support and Advice"! I believe there are multiple couples residing outside of the US that actually have gotten married this way, including LGBTQ The people performing the ceremonies are also members of this group and answer questions that comes up. However, a republican candidate is (most likely) taking office in January, he is against the concept and wants it discontinued https://davidsonclerk.com/?fbclid=IwAR2mXWNKAbO3_LqjoPiNiFQXfNgdl0cvBXctHpdwm7GQ9wZJXbFvq3e1apk (see the Against Universal Marriage Licenses For All tab). This will not affect marriages that have already taken place.
  10. So I assume you were born in the US and therefore does not have a Mexican citizenship yet? Since both the US and Mexico allows for dual citizenships, I would assume that it would not affect your application - as long as you are keeping your US citizenship 🙂
  11. https://www.efacademy.org/en?source=00700,GGNOS_EF_00_00 Have you looked into this? It is pricey though, but "a way into the system". I did an exchange year with "Education First" 10 years ago, and I enjoyed it, but that was just an exchange year from my high school in Norway.
  12. Yeah, it was regarding a totally different topic though! But she provided us with actual answers, not just thoughts and guesses
  13. They could ask to speak to a supervisor, that is what we did when we called. However, we were told we couldn't speak with one, and was told that we would get a callback within a week. We never recieved a callback, so we called again. This time around the first person that picked out the phone said that no one had requested a callback for us, and that she would try to get one on the phone. 1.5 hour later we got to speak with one
  14. Our I130 was filed April 2021, went in to actively reviewing in August 2021, then it went silent. Filed the I129F for K3 in October. In November the I130 was approved, and a couple of days after the I129F was denied. For us it adds up that it speeded up the process, but no guarantees 😊
