Another method is to file the N-400. After 40 months of waiting for the I-751 to be approved, wife filed N-400. About 5 months later, she had her Naturalization Certificate in her hands.
Yes. That's true good idea to file for citizenship when you become eligible while waiting for green card to be approved. Not ready for citizenship yet due to personal reason. I know there are others too who have filed only Removal of conditions without citizenship.

Removal of condition (not applied for citizenship yet)
Came on CR1 visa.
Case number starts with MSC ( national benefits centre)
Received date 5/28/21
Notice date 06/04/21 - 18 months extension letter
Notice date 12/13/2021- 24 months extension letter
Case status shows Interview scheduled since Jan 12,2022. No movement since then.
Called USCIS 02/06/223 requesting for 48 months extension letter as current extension letter expiring in few months and have travel plans soon. Was told to wait as they are working on case and have huge backlog.
Checked case status 02/07/2023 9.30 am, shows NEW CARD BEING PRODUCED. (no Interview)
Those who have been waiting for over a year since interview scheduled on case status, should try calling USCIS about 48 months letter. That seems to trigger the case to move further. my case got approved.no interview.

So far have received the letter saying your permanent resident status is extended for 24 months from the expiration date on your form i-551. This letter is worn out and letter is fading.
When does this letter expire? when will we start receiving 48 months extension? Thank you.
case status shows on jan 12, 22 we will schedule interview ...no progress till now.
CASE status this morning shows NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED. On Feb 6, 2023 we ordered your new card. Woohooo.

Update:
Extension letter has expired, case status still says waiting for interview. We got an InfoPass appointment after calling twice, then when my husband went to the field office for the appointment, they told him they would have given him a passport stamp but his passport is expired. So now he’s working on that.
If anyone else is in the same boat, if your passport is still valid, call USCIS and ask for an InfoPass appointment to get a passport stamp, let us know how it goes!
What number did you call USCIS? i applied in may 2021 no progress still.

Typo or auto correct. What meant to type (and am certain I did before the phone changed it) is you should have received the 4 year letter by now.
Since i have not received the 48 months extension letter. Do you suggest that should call USCIS to let them know i haven't received it and to request them to send another one or wait for few more days? thank you for your replies

Has anyone received the new 48 months extension letter?

This is why I hate ex RSUs in letters. If a gc holder can’t figure it out how does USCIS expect an airline or border guard to figure it out?
Your letter expires 2 years after the 2 year anniversary of the “resident since” date on your gc.
You have have received yours.
I agree its confusing.
resident since on green card says 06/22/19
So the extension letter i have will expire 06/22/23 ?
You said i have received the new 48 months extension letter? i have so far received only the 24 months extension letter.

Received date is 5/28/21 and Notice date says 06/04/21 wasn’t sure which group I belong so I am in both May and June group.
How long does it take from the interview scheduled notice to get the actual interview date?

Filed in June. MSc case number. Received letter for case is ready to be scheduled for interview. Any idea how long it will take for interview date? Is there any chance that interview might be waived off?

A joint sponsor is required.
Assuming the sister is a US citizen, American Samoan, or US LPR, yes.
proof of US/AS citizenship or green card.
Tax transcripts
Proof of current income.
prove of residency in USA or AS
yes.
Yes sister is US citizen.
So if i am using my sister as sponsor. Do i still need to do the affidavit of support? Do i need to show my Tax transcripts etc ? Do i need to show proof that shes my sister? proof of residency can she show her us passport or her naturalization certificate? thank you.
How much money she should make to show that she can support in her affidavit of support? she lives with her husband and both are working. i dont live with her. sorry lot of questions.
-
Cr1 case. US citizen wife makes close to $20000 per year. So sponsor is required, yes? Also can sponsor be the us citizen's sister? What documents are required from the sponsor? Can the sponsor be someone living in a different state and not with sponsor?

I suggest you call USCIS about the 48 months extension letter. This may trigger your case to move further and get an approval hopefully with no interview. This happened with me and got approval today. New card being produced. My case has been ready to be scheduled for interview since JAN 2022.
