Starting to think they messed up my case still can’t register online . Going to try again tomorrow if no luck guess I’ll have to send an email.

Most ppls are in on time as it’s an email. If not and yes it has happened u will be put on ap till they get it prob only a day or two.

Congrats to everyone who got ILs this month. So happy to see Montreal picking up speed. I just crossed into the US today and activated the IR-1 at Pearson. Was a pretty quick process, took about 45 minutes, mostly waiting in secondary inspection. Despite the very long wait for the interview, I am happy to report the interview through to activating the visa was a simple and fast process. Thanks VJ’ers for being the bright spot in this difficult process! Good luck to all still waiting for ILs.

@Hawk Riders They kept his passport and are just awaiting the medical (he was only able to get his medical done in Montreal yesterday):)

Husband was just APPROVED!!!
What a huge relief. Police clearance letter is valid for 2 years. Asked for his original birth certificate, our original marriage certificate, me and joint sponsor’s 2020 1040s. They asked where we met, his longest stay in the US, about our kids, what I do for work.

Not sure if everyone saw the video yesterday... but Montreal said they are adding more staff for the next 3 months!!!

Looks like missing supporting docs. That’s the most common reason for refusal. It’s an easy fix just need to get them and send them In.

I paid for priority service and I live in Ottawa so it’s the next closest major sorting facility so I think I got it back faster than average but WOO!

You will be put on ap till they get them then they will send ur passport back if all is good. It’s normal now with covid and u won’t be the 1 person
