Any approvals from Vermont? Someone was saying that they temporarily closed the office due to covid. This would explain why there is nothing happening from that service center. I’m hoping that’s not the case.
I'm extremely frustrated with Vermont service center
PD - 6/23/21
AR - 11/30/21RFE - 2/23/22
Response to RFE received - 2/28/22
Reason for RFE was two of my uploaded documents were 'corrupted' so I had to rescan and upload them again (even though when logging into my case online i could download the 2 documents successfully to my computer)
Since 2/28/22 there has been nothing. 38 extremely frustrating days since I have seen others get there approval the day after submitting the RFE.
At 60 days I can raise an inquiry but who knows what that will achieve. This whole process is ridiculous.
a bit of open communication would help. when I ask about my case through ask emma/calling they just say nothing can be told to me for 60 days. the not knowing what the hell is going on is the worst part -

Status updated on USCIS to 'Response to RFE received' on Feb 28th and now...nothing.
Anyone know how long average for USCIS to look at RFE once you submit your documents is? Specifically at Vermont CSC?
Really tests your mental well being this process! the unknown timelines and lack of feedback is the worst

The Vermont thread has been super quiet.
Wanted to update we got approved on day 260.
Following the pattern of first active review at 5 months followed by second active review and approval between days 250 to 260.
Hoping everyone else gets an approval soon!
Congratulations!
I got RFE on Feb 23rd. Reason given was two of my uploaded documents were 'corrupted' so i had to rescan and upload them again (even though when logging into my case online i could download the 2 documents successfully to my computer)

great thanks for replies all.
I guess i just have to wait to see it in the portal or get the mail. there is nothing in the portal under documents yet. Just the status change to say RFE was sent.
Just wish they would upload the details of the RFE and what they want when they changed the status! -
Got an RFE on my i130 application today. So far i only have the status update so no idea what they actually want
Anyone else recently get a RFE recently? Do they upload it the 'documents' section online or just send it via mail?
and then can I respond online or do I have to mail in what they want?
Do they usually respond to RFEs quickly once you give them what they want?
so frustrated right now!

Congrtulations! Vermont seems to be moving bit faster this year it seems.
Orion22 so you never even went to Active review status? Are you USC or LPR? -

Hi guys!
After 250 days since our PD we were approved today.
PD 13 May 2021.
Actively reviewing on Oct 14 2021 and again today on 18 Jan. Logged into our USCIS account and found the approval in the documents section.
We submitted a K3 in October - I don't think it affected our processing time as a few people with cases around our PD have also been approved. However a lot of people say it helps.
Good luck to the rest of you! and thanks to all the members in this thread for sharing your timelines Much love
Congratulations!! Excellent news!
Looks like after slowing down a lot towards end of last year Vermont is getting going, i have seen a few from Vermont already approved this year!Good luck with NVC. Let us know when you get the invite email from them. Hopefully it is fast!

Hello everyone
thanks again for all of the inputs! We received our K3 denial notice today and in it they state the denial is because our I130 is approved!!!! Still waiting for the NOA2 but hopefully it will come soon.
Did you end up getting your I130 approval?

Our K3 visa was denied today. I'm hoping it's because they will soon approve the I130.
ah hopefully that is what is happening!I gave in and applied for the K3 on the 15th December so I still have a while to wait even if that does help. The fact there is all these little backdoor tricks to try and get them to look at your case is ridiculous.
Either way I hope over next day or two you see an approval for your I130!

On the Processing Times tab on this site there is a list of centers and what date they are processing. It says August 12, 2021 for Vermont. When was your NOA1 date?
Yeh i dont think that processing time is correct.
My PD is June 23rd, active review November 30th.
Few members on this site i have seen from May who haven't heard anything since AR either so i not sure where its pulling August 12th from -
nothing to report here pretty disappointing. Haven't seen any real movement from Vermont for a month or two. WHAT ARE THEY DOING!!!

That's fantastic!
I have been following the Transfer to Vermont Immigration timelines and it seems at about 200-210 days to get approved after your PD. Still waiting on ours. Hopefully in the next few days. But it is really anyone's guess
Good luck!
That would be great if its the 200-210 day range! Hopefully that means i see you back on here very soon with good news
Good luck to you too! -
I got actively reviewing status today so i guess thats kinda good.
PD 23 june
active review 30 Nov
so 160 days for that status change.
looks like average active review is around another 2 months to completed now?
anyone got approved recently that was active reviewing first? -
Great thanks for that information joshuaAE. If my case is similar to yours then it should go actively reviewing soon (our PD is 23rd June) as 5 months ago today we submitted and approval sometime in January...hopefully. Keep us updated how your case goes!
-
Anyone got approved at Vermont recently? We found out we have been transferred to Vermont. Really starting to hate the completely unknown timelines for approval for this first step.
why is it so hard for them to look at/approve cases in order they are submitted as that would be fair and then we would have some idea on timeframes! -

I'll add to the evergrowing list...please add Australia

yeh the agents u get through to are useless. Like you say they literally just read your status off your case online. seems they have no access to anything more than we do!
I pretty much resigned myself to the fact nothing is happening till 60 days is up. i assume my case is buried under some papers on someone's desk somewhere. then I'll raise an enquiry and.....wait some more I guess.
Hopefully the enquiry flags someone to look at it but from research it looks like some people get there case looked at straight away after inquiry and some have had to raise multiple inquires (can redo every 30 days after first one) to actually get anything to happen so who even knows what the inquiry does. again there is no transparency at all on what is happening!
seeing people from like jan and feb this year getting approved really is a kick in the guts. good for them and im happy for them but who the hell allows a process where the time it takes to get approved is so completely random. there has to be a first in, first out approach surely!
I don't actually understand how this process can seemingly be so luck based and poorly run. the fact its our whole lives that are on hold waiting on these visa approvals really makes the days long. its constantly at the back of your mind and quite often at the front ruining your day!
