Just got NOA1 text notification 😀

The beneficiary should be getting the police checks!  It is nice to be a fly on the wall for the NOA2 approved groups.

Starting April 1, the Embassy will offer appointments in every immigrant visa category, including K visas and diversity visas. The number of appointments available will be extremely limited until conditions significantly improve, and it will take time to clear the backlog of immigrant visa cases. Even though appointments are now available, it does not mean you will be immediately successful in booking an appointment.
 
We already have a got our visa but I wanted everybody to know that yours is coming soon!! You all have my thought and prayers!!

It all really depends on how packed the case is with useful information according to USCIS.  I am possibly expecting one with mine, but there is a chance it might not happen and it will just process to the NOA2.  You can check the RFE link as I think people still update the spreadsheet.

Received NOA1 in mail today. Initial application was received at Texas lockbox Jan. 8th. Check was cashed on the 4th. Relieved to know I at least got the initial stage correct. 
Does USCIS always have RFEs with every K1 visa case? 

Just my opinion.  Be honest.  Prove you are honest, your relationship is honest and all this will go a long way.  If they were concerned about this, it would be on the record and you would be treated as such.  Have you had any issues with government ID's because of this?  If you had any issues since the records were expunged, then you would have every reason to be concerned.

Say the truth and let them decide whether they want to make it a big deal.  I highly doubt it though, especially since it does not appear on your current background.

Update: Our petition was received on 03/07/2021 and backdated to 01/14/2021. Yay!!! Let's the real wait begin!

I just created an account, although I have been reading the posts for the January K-1 Fillers for a couple weeks. My fiancé and I sent our application on 01/16 and the USCIS received it on 01/19. We received a text yesterday (03/09) that our NOA1 is on its way!!!

NOA1 arrived in the mail today, so only 7 days after our check was cashed. That's pretty fast in my opinion judging by other people's experiences, so hopefully everything is speeding up. 

Just received my text!  Yes, definitely an interesting process.

They tried cashing it AGAIN today and my bank courtesy paid it!!! So we're on track still, I think! I'm really going to cry from joy lmao. It's so terrifying realizing you screwed something up in this crazy process!

Just received the text for NOA1. Checked Case Status and it is indeed backdated to January 12 when my packet was received. Now time for the long wait!

Exactly.  It should backdate.  The VJ timelines are set for the backdate because long delays like this were not expected.  The NOA2 is different when updating the timeline for it.  When i get my info, I am going to update mine to the backdate that it says on the NOA1 paperwork rather than the day i get the text/email.

Your NOA-1 should be backdated to January 6th. Just wait for the notice to come in the mail. It will have your reciept date. That is the date you put on the timeline. Not when you received the text.
Immigration has said that the delay will not affect processing time and that’s why they are backdating the reciept date. Your timeline should be the day you sent the package and then NOA-1 should be the reciept date they give you on the letter not the day they processed it! They are doing this for everyone until they catch up to current dates. 

I know there are probably a million (exaggerated) requests but for the 15th people (myself included) check your money orders/checks because i saw a few WACs go through.  I will have to rely on text/email for mine but the light is there!

My money order was cashed today!!!!!! Omg I’m so excited. No text yet tho. I’m just elated that us January filers are moving forward.
