  1. Mine was pretty quick, but from what I’ve seen on here, it varies A LOT by FO. Some update to received right away, some take awhile, and some never update to received, but skip straight to approved. I wouldn’t stress about it!
  2. Seems you were right! RFE was for medical (though we, of course, did a medical for the K1 and submitted the vaccine form with our AOS app). But we did another one anyways and just a few days after our response was received, our case was approved! Green card arrived in the mail today!! Hope everyone still waiting also has good news soon!
  3. Received an RFE today :-(. Was hoping to avoid this to get right to the approval and have no idea what it could be for. I suppose silver lining is that at least they have looked at our case!
  4. Oh, strange! So sounds like it means all of nothing haha. Appreciate the info though!
  5. Used Ask Emma to get a case status update today. The agent said that our interview was waived back in July and our case was sent to local field office in October. Anyone know how to interpret this? I would have expected a waived interview to happen after being sent to the FO, not before. Not sure what we're waiting on now since October or how much longer to expect!
  6. Sorry missed responding to this. We’ve had success getting through to a real person either by saying ‘info pass’ or ‘reschedule biometrics’. Good luck!
  7. My husband actually just had success expediting the I-131. He called in to USCIS just to inquire about its status, and the person he spoke with actually suggested they could submit an expedite request (without specific reason/evidence required). Just got approved today, a couple weeks later! Might be worth a try!
  8. Update: Thanks for the suggestions everyone. On Saturday, a different postman was there and we spoke with him. He generally seemed much more helpful. He ended up finding the package in the building next door and delivered it to us later that day! (Of note, we had actually checked that building after it was listed as delivered, just in case, and didn’t find it, so it somehow showed up there in the following days). So grateful we don’t need to restart this process! (But really USCIS should have a better solution to things getting lost in the mail).
  9. No we don’t. And the tracking number showed up in my USPS informed delivery so we know it was meant to be sent here.
  10. Thanks, but we’ve already tried that. She insists she delivered it though 😕
  11. I sure hope so, but am not getting my hopes up. USPS said it’s definitely no longer in their possession.
  12. After approval, EAD card was lost in the mail. Seems like they have no good system for replacing it either. We were told we need to start over with a new I-765 😭. Devastated over here!
  13. Hello. So we are having an issue with receiving my husband's EAD and hoping someone may have some advice. We were thrilled when my husband was recently approved for his EAD card (earlier than expected!) and eagerly awaited it in the mail, following the tracking number. Problem is, the tracking information updated to being 'delivered', but we never received it, despite checking right away after the tracking information updated. We've been in touch with our apartment building and USPS and the card is no where to be found. Best guess is that it was mis-delivered to an incorrect address. We reached out to USCIS and they told us the only thing we can do is to reapply and start over with the I-765. We are now terrified we'll have to wait 8+ more months. Is there anything else we can do????
  14. Can’t believe it. I can’t help but check our case status multiple times a day and all of a sudden, this evening, it updated to EAD card is being produced!! I’m so thrilled this portion of the journey seems to have been a speedy one. Now just need to receive the card and find that job! Wishing everyone else the same luck.
  15. When we were trying to figure out where to take our honeymoon, I struggled to find real experiences of couples who tried traveling to Puerto Rico with the K1 visa. The only comments were people warning against it, but none that had actually tried it, so I thought I would share my experience here in case it is helpful to others. After our wedding, we took a direct flight from Baltimore, MD to San Juan, Puerto Rico. We had absolutely no issues and spent a wonderful vacation on the beach and in the rain forest. He travelled on his passport and I just used my driver's license as identification. The only time anyone looked at his passport was during the check-in (just to confirm identity and that the name on the luggage tags was correct) and when going through security, again to confirm identity. He says the TSA agent during the return from Puerto Rico to MD did flip to the visa page with his K1 visa, but asked no questions about it. It was the same process as any other domestic US travel. The only difference was the agriculture check of bags when leaving Puerto Rico (no identity documents checked at this time). The primary concerns I heard were that: Going to Puerto Rico would be considered leaving the US (it's not - it's definitely part of the US and a flies out of the domestic terminal at the airport) Immigration could stop him at the airport and give him a hard time (didn't happen and he had all his paper work in place) We could risk being out of status if the flight had to make an emergency stop in another country (I realized this risk would be no higher than the risk of emergency landing in Canada on a flight to Michigan and if we did, I don't think we would be sent through immigration - I didn't even have my passport with me to be able to pass immigration in another country myself). Everyone has their own risk tolerance, but my personal conclusion is that this risk is extremely low. Would highly recommend Puerto Rico for anyone looking for a beautiful honeymoon destination!
