  1. Yeah I go every year to visit him, Isl Embassy is a whole runaround, they told me “we are going to issue it soon”, next inquiry they told me “it’s a mandatory process and we cannot tell how long and when”, the next inquiry they said “give us a month if you don’t her back then follow up”, this is what has been going on since June 8th, 2021 after my fiancés interview, it’s like our life’s are a joke to them, they don’t realize we are wanting to get married and waiting since 3 years. I am only saying all this because this is the truth and I hope someone reads it and takes an action or just do something about it.

  2. Hello everyone, hope you all are doing good. The issue I have is that with Islamabad embassy in Pakistan, me and my fiancé have waited over an year under admin processing, they even asked him to resubmit medical which he did 27th dec, 2021. However, there is no movement in our case since February 23rd 2022. We have written several letters through inquiries to the embassy but just get told to wait. Will hiring an attorney help? Does anyone know a good one in Houston, Texas area? The reason I don’t want to choose spousal route is we both don’t wanna wait another admin/entire process timeframe and just want to marry each other and live together in the US. It has been 3 years since I’ve applied in total. Any suggestions?

  3. We had an interview with Islamabad Embassy on

8th June, 2021 for a fiancé visa. After that on August we were requested with a questionnaire requesting applicant travel and work history etc, some people call it ds 5535, then on December 15th, 2021 we were requested for second medical that my fiancé submitted on Dec 27th, 2021. We wrote an inquiry to embassy and received a response on January 31st, 2022 that I am going to attach. How soon we might be issued the visa? It has been way over 180 days since the interview. Anyone else been through a similar situation? Any insights or suggestions?

  4. I got some questions, so we are almost 5 months into ap with fiancé visa. Does the fee expire after a certain time? When does a petition become expired? What else can we do besides sending nvc an inquiry and sending Islamabad embassy emails and calling them? There’s nothing like a red flag in our case, just that my fiancé went to Scotland for his masters and Abu Dhabi to visit his brother.

  5. My fiancé gave his interview in Islamabad, Pakistan, the case went to administrative processing and they said we will email you some questions, answer those questions. They also gave him a paper with instructions and no check marks on it, so as far as I understand we do not have to submit anything online or by courier. Attached are the pictures of paper provided to him. They also kept his passport. So my question is, what do we do next? Just wait? How long might the case be in admin

  6. My fiancé’s interview was cancelled and rescheduled for June 8 in Islamabad, Pakistan.  we have a question. On travel.state.gov it mentions tb test is required for applicants 15 or older.

my fiancé went to the medical office and was told K1 visa does not require it and after chest test they don’t recommend him the tb test.

my fiancé also says that he had to get it when he went for masters in Scotland and has the report for that one.

should he still get the tb test done because it is mentioned on the website. Source “https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/ISL-Islamabad.html#med_exam_instructions”
