I entered 12/13, and card production was ordered just yesterday 3/7.

Passport arrived today via Purolator. I am on my way to the airport as I type.
I just wanted to thank this community for all the data points, discussions, and support. Best of luck to everyone still going through this horrendously arduous process.

Just had my interview, officer said he intends to approve. Was really nervous about the recent reports of DS-5535 requests, so that was a big relief.
Hopefully the passport gets returned quickly... need to get back to my one-month old son as soon as possible

Turns out I'll be able to keep the appointment after all. Registered for the appointment today, scrambling to make travel arrangements, all these last minute flights are going to be expensive...

Does anyone know what happened to consular operations the last time the U.S. government shut down over the debt ceiling? It's bad enough with all the COVID delays, and now the Republicans are trying to hold things up even more...

bkoz got a reaction from leymanai in 2020/ 21- US Passport & Card Application-Tracker
Late night venting (and a cautionary tale if anyone is considering standard service) because this is beyond frustrating.
My wife became a US citizen on 04/14.
She applied for her passport @ USPS on 04/26, standard service. Quoted 12 weeks at the time, and we weren't in a hurry, so why spend the extra $60?
First sign of trouble (actually, the only sign of anything in this whole process) was that check was only cashed on 06/07, which is the same day the application finally showed up as being "in process."
and....
....not a goddamn thing since then. Today marks 15 weeks and 3 days since she applied. In the meantime, they pulled a switcheroo and the expected timeframe for standard service is now 18 weeks. Awesome 🙄
We have no upcoming international travel plans, so it's probably not appropriate to reach out to a congressman or senator, or try to get an in-person appointment. We've waited this long, so we don't see the point to forking over more money to expedite the application. But the aggravation mounts ever higher with each passing day, and god forbid if something happens that requires her to prove her US citizen status.

Congratulations to everyone on their interview letters. However, based on the pace Montreal is working at, I think I made a mistake changing the interview location when NVC initially assigned me to interview in the country of my birth (i.e., South Korea)...

My timeline's up to date (also includes my wife's citizenship stuff as well, which is why I have both permanent residence and citizenship timelines).
