Congratulations to those who received their green card. I received the combo card a couple of weeks ago. This morning m, I got a notification through my email “we have taken action on your case” so I checked, and I found that for I130, there is an option added for “processing times” and it says 2 months. So here’s hoping it is true.

Congratulations!! Every time I call USCIS to make an inquiry about the EAD, they say if you don’t get it by x month, call again. Now they said you should have it by August. Yeah, right!

Hi all, filed on May 5 and got I-485 approved yesterday out of the blue.

In short, received a biometrics appointment for June but at the same time my AP application was returned in error. We sent it back with notes and so after my June appointment I had biometrics done again in July separately for AP.
AP got approved on its own soon after that.
AOS and EAD remained in “active review” from June with no further update from USCIS or inquiry from us. Naturally we were frustrated, especially as the average processing time at Nashville for I-485 got increased by a year in the meantime.
However:
 
AOS went from Review to Approved at some point mid morning on December 19, no interview. I viewed the notification being mailed on my USCIS account, it is a form letter confirming approval and saying I may be called for biometrics but otherwise to wait, unless 90 days have passed without receiving either my card or an appointment. There’s a number to contact in that eventuality.
The EAD application remains in review but obviously is no longer required.

I have the same thing now on my account. I am not sure if it means anything, but here’s hoping!

Heads up to everybody.
My Greencard got approved yesterday. Interview got waived. Seems like if you receive your EAD, they are more likely to work on the Greencard after a month. But could be different from case to case, I saw it on most timelines here.
 

I called and got this news too. The person said that interview waivers aren't shown on the account, so mine will keep listing as in review, and she said they can't estimate if it will be between now or next  May.  She did say that despite my 765 saying "in review" and my 131 only saying "received", the 131 is also ready to be adjuticated and so we might get a combo card.

It still shows that the case is actively under review. The receipt we got also shows that the case is at NBC. Call USCIS and say that you lost the receipt number or that you never received a receipt number. These two options always will get you to a live person. 

Yes exactly. Just had to tell the robot we lost our case number (we didn’t) to get to a human and then just asked about the status once we got one.

Ours was sent to Nebraska. I am still waiting on my EAD. My case states "case updated to show fingerprints were taken", which happened on July 11th. Fingers crossed mine will be approved soon. One less thing to worry about. 

There are horror stories and good ones.
 
DoS might not reply to the representative either. You have to wait it out 😕 

Hi! The wait is almost over for me. DoS sent favorable recommendations to USCIS. The case was with DoS for 16 months (fulbright funded). Now I am waiting to get the letter from USCIS. Hang in there folks and good luck!

Don’t worry! I did that too and that was my lawyer’s fault. Now you just have to wait. DoS doesn’t respond to congressional inquiries, at least this is in my case.

I am in the same boat. I have been waiting for nine months now. Application was ready to be processed in November 2020.

Mine a few months ago. Each took exactly two working days 

Hi! It is so heartbreaking indeed! I wish I could know more about their case. I am worried as hell.
Nothing got updated with my case. DoS emailed back with the same generic response of 6 months processing time (now we have passed that) and that some cases take longer (which again I don’t know why). Yours is still within the timeframe. DoS hasn’t responded to my congressional inquiry that I submitted two weeks ago either. I am guessing it will be the same half assed response.

Well... USCIS did the same thing to me. And I kept calling every week and talking to a tier 2 officer to no avail. Nothing got it going, and so I did congressional inquiry. USCIS sent it to DOS within a day after that. USCIS doesn’t do anything without congressional inquiry. That was my second one. 
 
fyi, when you do a congressional inquiry, keep it short and just say what you want them to do. Best of luck!

To get past the automated system, always say “I have never received a receipt number” and then it will transfer you to tier 1 officer. Usually those don’t help much so ask to be transferred to a tier 2 officer. You will get a call from a tier 2 officer within 7 days.
