    Reached out to a live agent and they said my case is still at NBC. No change, so when the countdown to 0 is complete, it will stay there till the time USCIS does something with the case.

    Is it outside of normal processing times? If it is, try and raise a service request? It may not do much.

    So another way to slow down everything. Great use of limited resources at hand.

    I like to think that staying in any country for a decent amount of time is what should make you a citizen. Paperwork is admin stuff. I am of course referring to being here legally and not getting into arguments of illegally or legally.

    Mine were reused from 8+ years ago.

    Ignore the last one. Many people either get things done real quickly or fall in that 20% whose cases take over a year. Mine says 3 months but I truly don’t believe it.

    When was the case dismissed? Reach out to the lawyer, bring in all the documents you have and get a consult. If they think your case might raise flags, withdraw the application

    It might take couple of weeks. If not, you could possibly just go to SSN office and enquire.

    It’s naturalisation. Just because they are US citizens doesn’t mean they have to spell things incorrectly 🤣

    I am little over two months now. My case is also not as simple as others so mine get stuck in background check for a lot longer than simple cases.

    Wish they had called me within 2 months of filling for an interview!

    Curious how long your son has lived in China since getting his green card?

    That’s only if the travel is more than 6 months.

    Don’t think there is any other advice here. Find a lawyer who can tell you what’s best for you. Until then it’s best to withdraw.

    Did the officer say you failed? Curious what happened?

    Consulting a lawyer would be the best in your case. It won’t cost too much and you have piece of mind.

    Would be nice when some of us from January also get the interview notices. (I know some already got them, but my wife and I are not one of them).

    That’s true. I mean 12 months is definitely a long time. My concern is based on the current administration and the changes they might be implementing

    I wish I had data to see if we are seeing a slowdown or not. 30 a day based on your reports seem low
