its weird because we got 33 and 35, 35 listed things that 33 did not and we had to submit additional docs for these things and now we are awaiting in limbo land...

They email you once they've made a final determination.
Thank you so so much, Erin!

Everything was perfect at our interview except they requested court docs on a thing from 11 years ago on my partners AFP cert. There was no conviction but they still wanted these. He has already submitted the docs to them, but my question is, does the Sydney consulate email you with their verdict or if they need even more information or are you just expected to constantly check some website to see what they decided?
thanks all

I’m fairly sure it’s the beneficiary’s divorce papers if they have them. They already have yours from the I-129f.
That’s what we were thinking too, but you know I’ve overthought about everything having to do with this process. At least we are close now!
-
@thisisnotnormal I’ve emailed them too, waiting to hear back. The one you linked says I-134 must be original but the cover sheet said copy. Also I need to know if my divorce statement needs to be an original or can be a copy. It’s going to cost me 87$ to ship documents with UPS so I definitely want to have the final word from them before the interview

Scanned copies are fine.
Are scanned copies of all fine for Sydney, as well? One paper from the Consulate I have printed says originals while another says copies. But, I apparently have to send an original of my divorce decree from 10 years ago, so I guess I may as well send it all together, LOL.
-
Im curious about this too. I also noticed on paperwork I printed off from the Consulate in Sydney it said the I-134 needed to be an original, but on the K1 Document Cover Sheet its listed as a copy.

Im curious about this too as well as the cost. I emailed aero pets and jetpets for quotes, Jetpets said they can't do quotes right now, so that's fun! LOL. Would be a 30 kg dog, so she can't ride in the cabin with my partner

Yep. I hope that border only stays closed once they get on top of this outbreak, I’m in Brisbane too and honesty I hope they don’t make restrictions at the consulate because of the dangers of spreading there.
Yeah, I was just looking it up and it says as of now, just the Sydney Northern Beaches area is the hotspot. Hopefully it'll stay like that and not spread to create any more closures.

Looks like we got the same email at the same time. Did they also mention the earliest appointments are end of Jan 2021?
I'm hoping the NSW VIC border restrictions don't impact this!
Wishing you luck!
Hey! They did! I hope we all hear fairly soon and the holidays don't delay things too much. My partner is in Brisbane, so I hope QLD/NSW stays good, he is headed to NSW end of Jan anyway for his Grandmas 80th so that would work out great for us, LOL.

Hi,
I was curious where people in the Brisbane area went to get their US Passport size photos taken. Thanks!!

@Joyoussinger @thisisnotnormal Wondering if it is mail you have to sign for/pick up at the post office? Now that you mention it, my partner is going down south for Christmas to his brothers. I didn't even think about that

I know, it’s nuts there is like 6 heading over and I think 4 or 5 can be accounted to this website lol. Unless that’s all of us in Australia to begin with.
I’m really curious how long it will take to hear from the consulate. Do you know if they will mail something to my partner in australia immediately? I asked in another thread but no response yet lol
-
@thisisnotnormal our packets headed to Sydney on the same day ☺️☺️☺️

We are doing our k1 visa and our petition was sent out last week to Sydney. My question is, does anything get physically mailed to my partner in Australia? His address changed and I called and had it updated, but the gentleman at NVC was basically like, well things have already been mailed so it doesn’t matter. I’ve asked my partner to redo a mail forward thing but he wanted me to check and see if he was going to get anything by mail. I’m assuming his address should be changed for after the interview? Thanks!!

Oh how awesome!!! Yay!!

@midsummer how cool! I was honestly surprised, I called yesterday to get our case number and she seemed like it would be a while before anything was sent off. Definitely did a happy dance when I got the email! Hopefully yours won’t be too far behind

@PatLuvO No, I'm not. Australia wasn't part of the Presidential Proclamation so as far as I know, that doesn't apply there.
