If he is traveling with the Royal Air Maroc direct from the USA to Casablanca, there will be no issues with an expired Moroccan passport. He will not even need to present his green card during check-in.
to be on the safe side, I would recommend to contact the airline e directly and get clarification from them directly. I would not go with what people say. Get your info from the airline directly.

Here is it  & yes it does look a bit off, but I think its legit.

I also called way back then, a Mr. Ali was so nice and helpful when I had questions.  Try calling and asking for him.
I need to also contact the consulate, my husband Moroccan ID card expired.   Best to get it while his citizenship petition is processing - pending.

He needs to renew it  before traveling/airlines say unexpired passport and good for at least 6 months

the process is for the Morocco embasssy in the US to send all to Moroc for the renewal and then back to the US embassy /self addressed envelope was needed to mail one here to TN from embassy in DC /now one site says u must apply to NY embassy in person and i am not sure how true that is as we did it thru the mail 3 years ago

It was 3 months to get DQed at NVC for us.  They say to wait 90 before calling about your case and that's about what our timeframe was.  The date we got DQed was also right in line with the dates of cases they said they were processing at the time on this site, so I think it's a good indicator:  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

The Vermont thread has been super quiet.
Wanted to update we got approved on day 260.
Following the pattern of first active review at 5 months followed by second active review  and approval between days 250 to 260.
Hoping everyone else gets an approval soon!

I beg to differ here 🙂
My Moroccan High School degree was accepted here with no issues and then my Bachelor's Degree (Moroccan Licence Es-Sciences) was also recognized through WES (had to do the equivalency).
I had to submit my WES transcripts as equivalent to the Moroccan degree when I did my MBA.
Moroccan educational degrees are recognized and accepted by US colleges and universities

sarabou17 reacted to JeanneAdil in Wrong service center on NOA1?
understand that u send the petition  out to a lockbox location and they send to USCIS office and u get a NOA1
the office gets hundreds perhaps a thousand in a mailing and if overloaded with petitions , they can immediately redirect some petitions without seeing the names and entering info so no new notice sent out
all we need is the NOA1(which u do need to keep for future reference)
we do not actually need to know what office has it as NOA1 says "do not contact them unless we get a RFE"  and even then ,  it is not face to face contact =its only paperwork
and we can't count on case timelines of the offices and visa type  as they fluctuate sometimes radically

looking at timelines of offices or other petition request will drive u crazy
but reading post from members going thru your embassy and embassy reviews can be helpful
And VJ community answers all queries and no question is silly / most of us start the process with no prior immigration experience but trust me,  u start to learn fast
some of us follow the charts and stats put out by USCIS
some follow white house and Homeland Security announcements
some read and follow court cases
some read the entire monthly bulletin
so whatever u need to know is out there (except for the question "how long")/ there's no rhyme of reason to the processing times and interview schedule
  10. Thanks

The passport was ready pretty fast, like 5 days!  Other people have waited longer I think.  They gave him a two week window, so it might be best to plan for 2 weeks and be suprised!

It sounds like you're probably already aware of this but for those who don't know:
Click on the Immigration Timelines tab, then scroll down to US Visa & USCIS Immigration Timelines & Stats then look for  IR1/CR1 Spouse Visa Timelines [ Stats ] [ Trends ] .   on the filter you can select Vermont for  Serv. Center (Xfer): and it will show you all of the members who have been transferred to Vermont.  In the I-130 NOA2 column if you click on the little down arrow to the left of I-130 it will list the most recent approvals first.  Like you said, someone from May just got approved and also someone from April.    There are also people who got their NOA1 in 2020.  (It doesn't show when they got AR.)  I know that Vermont's official processing time has recently been reduced drastically so I think things are moving faster.  Looking ahead to what's required at the NVC might help as you are waiting.   Form 1864 and Form DS 260 have to be filled out and you need up to 3 years of tax transcripts so you can start tracking those down.  Hang in there!  Good luck to everyone!  Here's the link to that chart and a screenshot below:

seems the CO looks to see the immigrant is prepared with documents and they know he has them
if he did not bring  them in,  he would ask for them and u'd be in AP

Should the petitioner mail the original W2, Signed I-864, and certified divorce, certified naturalization to Morocco? since for the transcripts, they can print the pdf..

To my knowledge they didn't ask for any financial documents but I'll ask my husband to be sure.  We had this whole issue with our 2020 tax return not being processed and not having the transcript and we thought they would make an issue of it, but they didn't.  We had called the IRS so many times, and wrote congressman and representatives.  We filed our 2021 taxes and got our transcript within days and he brought that and an updated I-864 EZ but I don't think they even asked for it.
