Finally got our NOA2 for K1.  Are they still doing K1 interviews?

Congrats!  From what I understand, they are.  But I haven't seen any new appointment dates from any groups that I am in recently.  Last I heard, they were still processing  ready cases from Oct 2020 and appointments were booked through August this year already.  So.....yep.

Hello. I am waiting for an interview appointment to be scheduled at Stockholms embassy.

I'm wondering - does anyone know if an ongoing ADHD "investigation" could be a negative factor or somehow be negative for the medical exam or the visa in general? I.e., not having any diagnosis, but being under formal investigation to find out about it.

What could you expect to happen in that scenario?

Edit: is ADHD cause for denial, does anyone know? Seems it is considered a "mental illness" on some pages but whilst it really is a disability.

I am no expert, but I do not see why anyone would be denied for having an ADHD diagnosis.

For some reason, I have received two NOA2s, each with a different NVC number and dates. Wonder if I should just let this play out and see if one makes it quicker than the other.

If it were me, I would contact NVC.  You want to make sure your petition is at the correct embassy and also ask why there are two noa2.  I wouldn't risk the potential delay with a mixup.

Thank you so much I called Monday the told me how it can take 60 days for it to get there I asked the lady twice I was so flabbergasted about what she said I’m madam I’ll follow in a week but another lady told me today it roughly take two weeks so follow weekly because the approval only good for 4 months per NO2 I was like the bs that NVC tells you and The fact that everyone’s telling you something different and they are so rude you only get like a couple of nice people. But I’m not even paying attention to them greatest thing is that I’ll just follow up with them weeklyBut I’m not even paying attention to them greatest thing is that I’ll just follow up with them weekly

I am willing to bet that they have your case number assigned in 2 weeks.  Many government employees, sadly, are not helpful.  While technically it could take up to 60 days, the average has been around 3 weeks.  We are all anxious to be with our loved ones and move on with our lives.  You are certainly not alone!

    NOA 2 was June 2nd.

Do I get a notification when its time for NVC to send our application to the embassy?

Since getting approved, my fiancé's address has changed ( same city just different address) will that need to reported to the NVC

Not sure what to prepare now ahead of time

The NVC sends an email to both petitioner and beneficiary when they send it to the embassy.

    Hi everyone!

My fiance's interview is scheduled for August 19th in Stockholm. He tried to book the medical exam last month and the Stockholm clinic told him to email email in mid June to schedule.

Yesterday my fiance contacted the clinic to schedule the exam and they told him that the physician is fully booked up until the point in which he will be transferring to a new clinic. And that the new clinic would reach out to my fiance for scheduling purposes.

Anyone else run into this issue? My fiance does not have his vaccine records so will need test done at appt and/or receive required vaccines.

Any input appreciated :) thank you all!

I have heard in other groups that I am part of that Gothenburg Dr has lots of appointments.  It is another option.

We received NOA2 in late February 2020. We were contacted about 1 month ago for scheduling purposes and are scheduled for interview mid August. Not sure if that is helpful!

Thank you for the update. It is helpful.  Shameful how long everyone has had to wait on this process.  I am happy that you are sooo close!

That is not what the DOS pages say. One page explicitly says that "fiancé(e) visa holders" may directly travel via NIE: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/updates-to-national-interest-exceptions-for-regional-covid-proclamations.html The other page says that F-1 and M-1 visa holders "may enter the United States no earlier than 30 days before the start of their academic program." https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/national-interest-exceptions-for-certain-travelers-from-china-Iran-brazil-south-africa-schengen-area-united-kingdom-and-ireland.html

I understand.  My point is, the department of state has added fiance as a NIE in of itself as of 14 May.

Since you posted in Tourist Visas forum I assume you are referring to a tourist visit while waiting for K-1 process to complete. If so, would you try the "humanitarian travel" NIE for that visit attempt?

If my above assumption is incorrect, then note that K-1 visas can now be approved and issued per the following: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/updates-to-national-interest-exceptions-for-regional-covid-proclamations.html

From what I am reading, it seems fiancé can travel on an esta for up to 30 days without quarantine in another country for 2 weeks as fiancé being the only reason.
