    IR1 AP question

    My wife had her IR1 interview on 01/06/21 at the US embassy in Islamabad.  After completing the interview the agent told her she was approved and should receive the visa within 2 weeks and was given nothing asking for additional documents. 
     

    Two weeks have passed and when I checked CEAC status this morning her status had changed from Ready to Administrative processing. She was not asked for any documents and when I try to submit an inquiry they say I have to wait 60 days?  Any guidance or help would be great! 

    Did she take the interview in english or urdu?

    I'm assuming your husband also brought the Visa Confirmation Page from NVC, passport, police certificate and passport (4x5 photos) as well?

    New passport pics

    Tax transcripts

    W-2 

    Tax return papers

    Birth Certificate (with a copy)

    He took my birth cerft.. just in case lol

    Marriage certificate (All 3)

    Bank statement mine and joint sponsors just in case proof of domicile..

    My Passport pic  biographic page

    Joint sponsors passport pic biographic page

    His own passport (pakistani)

    Frc from nadra.

    Wedding pictures.

    I told him to take chat logs but he said he doesnt wanna since we take Allahs name.. and than he said he doesnt know what to do with the papers afterwards anyways yeah he took

    Video calls screenshots.

    And call logs..

    Ds-260 confirmation page .. which is like so important throughout..

    New updated police certificate.

    Enagagement pics..  and thats all i can i think of right now..

    And no my husband didnt take the wedding album. He took 70 pics in hand. Make sure to take nikah and ruksati pics.

     

    He took all the documents in like a floder type thingy..

     

     

    And OMG! I was worried about my joint sponsor as well lmfaoo.. my joint sponsor who is my sister. Lost her job due to covid and shes sitting home right now since past few months lol.. and plus i made a mistake actually my lawyer did in the affidavit.. but they didnt care..

    I have my friend sent it frm here in US via fedex right after  his wife got IL.. she took it with her.. 

    well at the end its all your choice.. 

    Yeah i agree... i know someone stuck in AP for this reason since a year or more.

    My husband didnt sumbit anything at all before the interview . He just took everything along with him. I would actually suggest everyone NOT to upload anything speicially for interview.. i feel like if you upload beforehand they ask you way more questions.. 

     

    We didnt upload or take any money reciepts gift receipts. Nothing.. 

     

    They just checked the wedding pictures, marriage certificates, birth certificate.  

     

    My husband said even the secuirty asked for his Nikah Nama (Marriage certificate) asked him if its his and mine first marriage..  than the interviewer lady who was american asked

     

    What is your wifes name ?

    When is her birthday?

    I see you have a joint sponsor whats their name ?

     How is the joint sponsor related you?

    What does your wife do there ?

    How did you decide to get married? Meaning how did you meet?

     

    At the end she asked another question which my husband didnt understand.. and he said i told u i want my interview in urdu i need help. Than the lady 

    Said "kya you ka pehlaa pehlaa shaadi"  in her accent ..

     

    Than she asked for weddings pics and looked at 70 pics in 5 seconds. Like shes playing a card game lol..

     My husband said any more questions you want any more proof? To what she said No. Bye bye. You may go. 

     

    My husband took a update police certificate too but he wasnt asked for it at all..

    Just correct it at the interview.  It's Pakistan.  AP is not avoidable.  The additional security checks are not performed in advance of the interview.  They only do them once the they have otherwise decided to issue.

    The interview went very easy Alhamdulilah !!

     

     my husband told them he wants the interview in urdu but they still made him take it in english!

     

    They just asked few easy questions and checked few of the documents .. Alhamdulilah this long journey is over for me!!

    (Also if you have mistakes on your affidavit or DS 260 dont worry) they dont really care !! :)

    Refused   > ready  > refused 

    Any opinion on my case ?? What should I do . Is this not normal ? Anyone else has same situation. Your answer is highly appreciated.

    What happened at the interview?

     

    And is it your first marriage? Travel history? Age gap?

    Yes its from her current husband. So no need of doing a change in Ds-260 or an new affidavit is  not needed as well? Just a birth certficate to the interview is enough ?

    Asslam o alakium heeey ! My cousin was in the same situation .. not really sure though. But make sure to take the original birth cerft with you to the interview :)
