Hello, some updates with my case.. FINALLY! Today I got the status change from "expedite request received" to "expedite request approved", and in 2 hours, it was changed to "new card is being produced".

My personal experience is, after biometrics, things are much smoother. The expedite request submission is sketchy, if you submit before you get biometrics, 99% of the chance you will get denied/suspended. After biometrics, make sure you raise a NEW expedite request through tier1/ tier2/ congressman. I made a mistake to ask a tier 2 to resubmit my previous expedite request (the one got suspended before bio) and it took me over 20 days of waiting time. One week ago after talking to tier 1, I knew that the first expedite request never worked! So I raised another one, got a new referral number through tier 1. And after several days, my expedite request finally got through. The only weird thing is they never asked for my evidence. Maybe because I provided all the expedite evidence through congressman office and they helped me follow up on the case as well. SO, hang in there, my friends. KEEP CALLING! The biggest boss is still biometrics, for people who still have not not got their biometrics, try to call more tier 2s to get biometrics scheduled( it worked, but you need to meet the right person) It's just a number game after all.

I am sorry to hear that but believe me, I TOTALLY feel you... as you know, not all tier 2s are helpful. This is the most terrible experience in my life as I almost lose my job. In my case, I really need EAD card to start working so I told them I needed to expedite EAD, which means I had to get biometrics ASAP. I had all evidence for financial loss ready.

It was actually not clear which officer helped me, because I remember calling them every day for two weeks...Yes, I got up at 8:00am (5:00am when I was in West Coast) every morning to call them. In those days they didn't have this 7-day call back policy from tier2 so I was able to talk to tier 2s everyday. I asked them to schedule for me, even though they also kept telling me they couldn't do it...until one day when I called again, a tier 1 (a friendly male) told me I was scheduled. With that said, I still don't know how exactly I got scheduled, but definitely it is not a magic where I just sit and wait and it suddenly happens... my only advice is to keep trying and keep calling, better than doing nothing. And I have seen other people successfully getting bio app thru tier2, so I wish the best luck to you too!

It’s good that they are asking for evidence! I think it’s very likely they will approve your request if the evidence is sufficient. The tier 1 told me usually it took 5 business days to respond to the expedite request. But I suggest you always follow up with them, just in case~☺️

Some update...I finally got my biometrics today. It's been so long! The ASC was as empty as expected.  Hopefully you can all get appointments soon.
