Hello everyone. So we sent our petition for adjustment of status and work authorization back in September 2021, got biometrics appointment in October 2021, now it's June 2022 and we still didn't even get work permit, after 9 months Is this normal? We are in NYC so maybe it's because a lot of people are applying? It's just crazy that it takes so long

Didn't you get the vaccines before moving to the US?
Yes,I did, but now they tell me that I have to get more ,which is weird. I had to take mmr again, because they told me that I don’t have antibodies for that and they say that flu vaccine is needed too. So I want to know if they are just trying to come up with something to make more money,or I really need to get flu shot now.
-
Hello guys. Does anybody know if you have to take flu vaccine now for adjustment of status? We visited a civil surgeon who told us that we have to do this since now it’s a flu season. But we read on the uscis site that flu season starts on 1st of October til March31. What should we do? And what happens if we refuse to take this vaccine? Thanks for your replies in advance.

Got NoA2 on May 26th and still not a peep from the NVC. Meanwhile people who got theirs in June are already processed on in transit. So frustrating.
Did you try to call them? Our case was at the NVC for almost a month, but then it got to the embassy for only one day. So I’m sure you will hear something from them soon too

Thank you this is was very helpful and you brought us clarity!!!
For a London Interview, pick one:
- A transcript of the most recent tax return -or- a photocopy of each page of the tax return plus a W2 or 1099 wage or pension statement. Until April 15, 2021, the most recent tax return is 2019. If 2020 taxes are filed already before the due date of April 15, then it should be used. This is an easy proof.
- An employer letter. This can be having the boss write a letter stating the position, whether full time, how long, and current yearly salary. The “letter” can be a printout from HR giving similar info about current salary. Same for a pension statement or a social security statement if the sponsor is retired.
- Photocopies of the most recent pay stubs showing weekly, biweekly, or monthly gross income. I think three months of pay stubs should be enough for London.
- If no salary, then assets can be used to sponsor. Provide the most recent financial statements showing current balance of accounts. Bank letters as stated in the instructions could be used but those are not particularly needed For London. If the person is employed then skip all the bank stuff and assets portion of the I-134. Showing a bunch more than needed doesn’t get them more approved.
You do not need to give London multiple proofs. One of the above will do it. Bring a second along if you’re really nervous.
The fiancé does not have to be the K1 sponsor in London. They want a sponsor and only US Dad will do since your fiance doesn’t qualify.
Photocopies of all of the above are accepted. You take it all and present at the interview. The proofs like employment letters or pay stubs can be a few months old. Tax return date depends if you Interview after April 15, which is most likely because K1s have been halted a long time and there will be a huge backlog when K1s and all the other categories resume. I wouldn’t bother preparing any of the above until you have an idea that NVC is sending K1s to London and the embassy is up and runnning full speed. Right now they are operating with minimal staff and fiancés from the UK don’t qualify for exceptions to the travel ban for UK to US.

Hello everybody!
We recently got approved for our -129-F petition for K1- Visa.
We got our NOA2 on May 12th.
We think that our interview will be on July, however I want visit my fiancee and be with her up until the interview.
We have not received instructions from NVC or our embassy yet but we are already preparing the affidavit of support
and I heard that if the supporting documents for affidavit of support is dated more than 2 months old then it is considered invalid?
(Ex: The supporting documents are dated may but our interview is in July.)
I have Bank account balance summary that is dated in May however if i show that I flew to Ukraine, abroad, maybe that might help?
We are doing our interview in Kyiv, Ukraine so anybody who has been in interview for k-1 visa, in terms of affidavit of support, please share your experience.

Hello Everyone. We recently were approved in May 12th,2021 from USCIS and received Notice Of Action 2. We simply want to know that once we get case # from NVC within three weeks. Even if the Embassy has not reached our case yet and is still in NVC, we wonder if we can still pay the visa interview fee in advance before our case reaches the U.S embassy. We want to travel for vacation for 2-3 weeks but we would like to be able to schedule our interviews and medical examination at ease and get our interview shortly after coming back home from vacation.
We are k-1 filers in Ukraine, anybody from Ukraine that has went through this process share your thoughts or knowledge. We would be happy to hear.
Everyone who is still waiting for their NOA2 from USCIS, your turn will come I promise you! If you get frustrated waiting for everything to happen, its a sign that soon it will happen!
Have Faith!

Hello everyone. My fiance is coming to see me in Ukraine in a few weeks and staying with me until we get interview, but we didn't get NOA2 yet. Do I need to have an actual NOA2 letter with me at the interview? Does it have to be original or can be a copy scanned by a family and sent to us? We just don't want to cancel our plans and meet later because of that and wait for that letter. Thank you for your replies in advance

Hello Everyone!
Somebody please explain to me what is going on with USCIS processing and approving K-1 cases that have been sent in September and November but earlier ones like August they have been ignoring. Our date that they confirmed and received was August 22, 2020. Why is it that more recent applications get approved quicker than ours.
Second question: We already sent inquiry for case outside normal processing time and they answered that there should be a response with 45 days. Is it true that if you constantly contact USCIS by yourself or approach your senator/congressmen, then USCIS delays the process even more or cast it aside. What would be the appropriate course of action to take if we did not hear anything past the 45 day timeline?
Feel free to share any of your knowledge or past experience!

Exactly not sure how they say processing time is 5-7 months when there are a bunch of late august filers who have not recieved NOA-2
That's true, soon it will be 8 months that we are waiting for our NOA2 and it's so frustrating
-
Hello guys.I wonder if it's a lot of August filers or maybe July filers who still didn't get their NOA2? Our receipt date is August 21 and since then we didn't hear anything from them. We have submitted a request for an "outside normal processing times" on their site more than a week ago and still didn't get an answer. It's just frustrating that it's taking so long
-
Anybody else got approved? We are still waiting for our NOA2,it's exactly 7 months today that we've been waiting 😟

That's great news 🥳🥳🥳

Around 5-6 weeks for the NVC to assign the number to your case, and then 3-4 weeks for the NVC to mail your case to the embassy in Kyiv. Time may vary due to Covid-19 related delays, backlogs, and etc. Also, keep in mind, that the US embassy in Kyiv does not conduct interviews atm, and nobody knows when they will resume their regular operations.
Thank you for your answer. It's really frustrating that these delays occur and it takes so long for the entire process but I hope it all will be back to normal soon
-
Hi guys. Do you know how long does it take from NOA2 to the interview? Is it a few months or it can be quick?
-
Our Fiance K1-Visa application was received by the USCIS around August 24,2020 and we read on the site that the embassy site in Kyiv that they have stopped processing since NOV 16, do you have any idea when they might continue conducting interviews for K1 visa.

I’m very embarrassed and frustrated now as I realized that I have been following someone else’s case status all this time! I had typed our receipt number in my phone notes but one of the numbers was wrong. I had not noticed this earlier as all the dates matched our NOA1. But now our case status only says that the application was received. Well, I guess I don’t need to worry about it being a NOID but I had been waiting for this mystery document for weeks so it is a bit upsetting to realize that nothing is coming our way. But apparently someone’s application from August is being processed...
Hey,thanks for the response. Don't worry, the most important is that it's not NOID, at least we know that they check some applications from August.I hope we won't wait for too long and soon we all will be approved 😉

I will! It is very annoying when someone asks a question online but never returns with answers so I will promise to update what it is.
Yes,I absolutely agree. Thanks, that would be awesome

Hi all! We sent in our application in the end of August and received Our NOA1 in the beginning of September. We have been prepared for the long wait of NOA2 but I happened to check My Case Status and it states that
”October 7, 2020
Document Was Mailed
We mailed your document for your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e).”
We have not received the document yet as we are living in Finland and the mail takes long to get here, especially with the pandemic affecting the route. Has anyone had this status this early on in the process and what could it be? Shouldn’t the case status tell me if it is an RFE? I have seen others ask about this case status online but they never confirmed what document was sent to them.
Can you update what was it when you find out please? We sent our application also in August and got only NOA1 so far

If actual results are indicating July is current, then by inference you have about a month more to wait
