E-filed the I-130 for my husband, priority date 7/29/2020. Initially was assigned Nebraska so we were expecting to have update sometime in the next few months, but found out today we got transferred to Vermont at some point, which has up to 30 month wait for I-130. Yikes.
Anyone applying from Japan get transferred to Vermont?? I feel like all the cases I see from Japan tend to go smoothly, so hard to believe we'll really be waiting until 2022 just to get approval on our I-130
I didn't have that type of experience (transferred the case to other Service Centers), but it seems there are also cases that get approved earlier than the period that written on the site. One of my friend even got approved after 5 months (mine is 9 months, lol). Hopefully you won't wait that long and will hear something soon next year

Thank you! Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification.
Seems like everything is okay because they accepted our documents now and we have an interview scheduled!
He will take the sealed envelope to his interview~that's good to hear. I hope his interview will go smoothly.

Are you in Philippines? I actually received an email asking if all requirements including medical were completed and to reply once done. At that time they will schedule interview. It may vary by country but it seems that's how things have been going in the Philippines these past few months.
no, i am not in the Philippines. i was sharing my experience and was read what was written on the travel.state.gov for the US embassy in Philippines. maybe the procedure changed that way because of Covid19. anyway, hope you can hear soon for your interview date, good luck

Our case just changed to Ready and it’s with us embassy in London - this mooning. Awaiting instructions email now.
I just scheduled my medical appointment without having interview date. Most of people doing it, as if you haven’t hit your medical on time, it will delay visa processing.
maybe it depends also on the country, so i think both way are possible, as i said i didnt say it was wrong either.
in Japan you cant do the medical check up without your interview appointment letter and only allowed to go to the designated hospital that has linked with the US embassy, thats why i need to wait until i got my interview date information. usually here there will be interval time 4~5 weeks until the interview. just sharing what i know

We’re not scheduled for interview yet. I do believe you need to complete medical before they will schedule interview
yes, thats true, she didn't do wrong, but usually you do the medical check up after you got your interview date information.
because the medical check up only valid for 6 months and she needs to enter the US before it expired, otherwise you need to re-do the check up.
hopefully you will hear about the date soon.

Hi, Anyone complete medical and get scheduled for interview in Manila recently? My wife will finally complete medical next week after waiting 2 month sputum results (hopefully we’ll receive good news). Just wondering what the wait times look like for interview after medical these days.
thanks!
did your wife do the medical check up before she get the interview schedule?

At the end of the interview I was given a 221g form because i had wrong passport size photo and police report was missing signature. So the CO told me that as soon as he gets these docs he will process as fast as possible. I just checked now the case shows updated but still not ready.
I see. Maybe they still processing your application. Hopefully it will change to Administrative Processing soon

I would like to know if anyone has experienced this before. My CEAC status has not changed it's"READY" status since my interview 8 days ago. It has shown updates 3 times since the interview on the date part but the status still showing ready. Should I be concerned?and how long does it take to get visa issued. The embassy just got my medical results on the 14th of October but the medical center said it will only show in the embassy system a day later. Please help if any body has experienced this. Thanks
Usually after the interview, the status will stay as "Ready" for couple days and once they work on your visa, the status will change to "Administrative Processing" and from there when the embassy ready to print out your visa, the status will change to "Issued". What did CO tell you about your visa approval in the end of the interview?
In my case, in the end of the interview the CO said my visa got approved and I will get my passport in a week. I kept checking my status after that with the above process, and my status changed to "Issued" after 3 days and got my passport on the next day.

We've been messaging primarily on Snapchat, and talking mostly over Skype (nearly every day for a year now). We've also used Discord for a lot of our calls, since we sometimes play games together. Since we've been apart for a year now (I left on October 16th), we don't have anything joint, as for most things I'd have to be physically present there, with him.
just gather your pictures and if possible the one with the families and friends also, it will help. and if you guys buying gifts for each other you can try to attach the scan of the receipt or tickets when you see each other.

For the birth certificate, it seems we need to include both sides. I have an English birth certificate from Quebec, but the back is in French. It basically has the security features to look at in order to ensure it's an authentic document.
The front specifies there is a back to the document, so I'm assuming I need to include the back as well. But I'm also assuming I need to have a certified translator translate it to English? Seems a little ridiculous to translate the security features of the document, but I really don't want to further delay and get an RFE.
it said that an English version is provided on their website, so maybe you can just try to check it and have the English version instead of doing the certified translation

it will change when you receive an email from the NVC regarding your interview date. that is still normal

Ah ok thank you for the information! I guess they will email my fiancé in America, or will they email me do you know? Hopefully we will get the email soon
thank You
usually they will email both, the petitioner and beneficiary. i misunderstood read your text. if you are applying for fiancee visa, it seems that you dont need to pay first, the NVC will review your case then once their finish they will forward the case to the embassy. after that you will receive instructions from the embassy about what to prepare (including the documents list and the fees), but it seems it won't be later than the validity date of your approval notice.
sorry, i thought you were applying for spousal visa, didn't realize until you said "my fiancee"

Hello CS_Bradshaw, I do not believe we have received any email yet from the NVC, just the letter so far, thanks
I see... so I believe that Notice of Action is the one that you got from USCIS. The next step would be preparing to pay the fee & upload the necessary documents to the NVC, the interview is gonna be the last step after you done with the NVC. But you have to wait the email from NVC, because they will inform you your case number and invoice ID, so then you can proceed to pay the fee and work on the documents afterwards.

Hi guys
I’m waiting to get the medical and interview in the Dublin Embassy in Ireland. We got the letter to say that the petition has been approved and has been sent to the NVC in NH.
The letter says “notice date” - 9/18/2020, and “approval notice valid from” - 8/19/2020 to 12/18/2020.
Does anybody know when I could expect to get an interview in the Dublin Embassy?
i am wondering whether to just go over and see my fiancé on my ESTA which is still valid. I’d have to go via Croatia or somewhere for more than 2 weeks due to the travel ban on Ireland. And then come back for the interview.
We’ve been waiting so long already I’m so tired of waiting to start our lives.
any help or advice would be appreciated!
many thanks
Eva
did you receive any email from the NVC for your invoice ID??

We have applied for a CR1 visa and are currently waiting for an interview at the Consulate in Sydney after being Documentarily Qualified by the NVC. We have a joint sponsor in the US who submitted a I-864, along with all the required documents to the NVC during the Affidavit of Support stage.
Question: Do I need to bring the joint sponsor's documents (signed I-864 and copy of joint sponsor's latest tax return) to the actual interview or will the immigration officer already have a copy of these from the NVC?
Due to the sensitive information contained (salary details, tax paid) my joint sponsor upload his I-864 documents to CEAC himself, therefore I do not have a copy and would prefer not to have to ask for one out of respect for privacy.
Thank you
In my case I didn't use the joint sponsor, but I brought the I-864 to the interview. Before the interview section there was other Consular Officer who checked my documents and I submitted the I-864, but she returned it back to me and said since I already submitted online at the CEAC the hardcopy isn't necessary as the embassy already have it. But just in case, I think it would be better to have with you in hand, if they ask you can show them right away. But it may vary for each country

Also, on CEAC, the status still says “at NVC” even though the email states that the case is at the local embassy.
congratulations for getting your interview date. if you just got the email, the status might take sometime till it change to Ready. mine took 2 days after I received an email about my interview date.

Hi everyone!
Just wondering how long your CR1 actually took start to finish? I've seen many estimates on many websites.
Thanks in advance!
it is different for everyone. in my case it took 1 year 3 months till my interview at the embassy. are you about to start your application?

I'm not sure either honestly. Maybe the confirmation number? We need a case number and DS260 number so I'm a little confused on how to find the DS number.. Is it the Invoice number maybe?
if you login to your CEAC account, you can try to check on the IV application and then Sign section where you can find the confirmation page of the DS-260, the "Confirmation No." maybe that what it means.

When registering our appointment we need to put in a DS-260 number in addition to our case number. Does anyone know what the DS 260 number is or where we can find it? Thanks!
not sure what you mean with the DS-260. did you mean the confirmation number of the DS-260?

Hey, wow congratulations to you, finally you finished the process now, Ok I check your profile.... how’s the interview?? Is it easy??? Did they asked anything???
no haven’t heard anything from them, I don’t know when I will get the appointment letter I’m looking forward on it..🙏🙏🙏
yeah, finally!! the questions that they asked were mostly about my relationship with my husband, nothing about public charge or financial documents. it wasn't that long.
hopefully you will hear something soon. wait like 3 or 4 weeks and maybe you can try to call the NVC or the embassy
usually you will have time around 1 months when you will hear something from them to your interview date.

Hi guys.... Just want to give an update. I flew to the US from Japan with the POE Seattle airport on Dec 23, 2020. Which I see in the forums here that it takes a while to get the SSN card and the physical Green card. I have gotten mine on Jan 5th for my SSN card and Jan 8th for my Green card. Maybe it might depends on the state, idk, but just want to share this news to you guys.
