USPS Express is ok, do not worry, USPS either deliver again on business day, or NVC will pick it up, they do USPS mail runs in any case.

Very relieved to hear this. Last thing I want to stress out over is my lost package.

Hi All! Back to computer from short weekend escape. Have good and not so good news.

Good news -my IV bill shows as Paid, so can mail my DS230 tomorrow

Bad news-my AOS package that I rushed to post office on Friday, was not delivered. On Tracking page it says-Delivery attempt, Notice left.

I sent in overnight Express. They will not redeliver automatically, it suppose to be addressee who can arrange redelivery. I am panicking if they don't

go to Post Office to pick it up ,then in 15 days it will be sent to me. I am not used to sending packages , I don't know the procedure.. So afraid that it will slow me down tremendously

What to do???

Can the beneficiary(my wife) fill out DS-230, DS 3032 sign them print out the forms, along with the supported documents and send them to me through DHL, whenever time comes i can just send them to the address? Or will NVC send me these forms for her to fill out? Will it be a problem if she signs them now?

or does she have to sign them when they send them?

Shpat, don't send to her DS3032 and 230, and also don't wait until DS3032 will came in the mail to her. Just guide her to find these on the interned, let her print it , SIGN , and then mail to you unfilled. You will fill it out when it's time to send in. This what we've done. On the day of approval he printed forms, signed, and maild. I had them in 3 days, and now filled them myself and sending in the order

Paid also my IV Bill. Woohoo!!! May be I am rushing to much, but can't resist! Will see what happen...

Any advises on should I mail it today(Friday), hoping that they are working on Saturday and at least they will enter it in the system, OR should I exercise patience and give it another day and mail it on Tuesday morning after holiday?

Are you sending overnight? I am tired of patient exercise and if I were you I would send it today. Next week will be a short week if you send it out on Tuesday overnight they will get it On wendsday and god knows when it will be in.

Fedup, I was trying to find the thread where someone told about interview dates for Russia. Unfortunately could not find the link. Her name (user name ) was Eugenya (hopefully right spelling). She told that interview for Russia scheduled already up to Oct, 19 and she also hoping to get late October date. I am not sure about a source of that information, but I know that there is Russian forum and pretty informative too. About my experience with AVR-it's terrible and probably unique. I spoke to operator today and he confirmed that my AOS Bill went through. I paid on 08/27, it was in process, and then it stays as "NOT PAID" (which is bothering me a lot, because I am aware that sometimes it go back to not paid , but next day it shows either In Process again, or PAID, but it's already 3 rd day stays as NOT PAID after I actually paid ). But at least operator could see that transaction.And that they received my DS 3032 (which i sent just yesterday). A min ago my IV Fee Bill changed from "NOT INVOICED" to "NOT PAID" online ,which means they not just got my DS 3032 but also entered it in the system.

A lot of changes, however AVR still saying " We don't have a record of your case". I wish I could hear that status to be ever changed to anything else, even outdated, but different....

It's very tempting to pay now IV Fee Bill since it's just got changed to "Not Paid" instead of Not Invoiced status online, should I do it or I need to wait a little???

I paid IV fee as soon as it was "not paid" online. See my timeline in signature. It went through ok, but I did have AVR updates, which did say "IV feel bill generated" Monday after I paid Saturday. Then Tuesday it cleared the bank and posted online NVC as PAID. About AVR, it is weird. I did post a few remarks on this, there is a thread in NVC forum about it. I would say do not pay attention to this, just call if anything, and pay online and print cover sheet right away when "paid". Just go as you should, and AVR might catch up with you, even if it's by the time you are "case complete"

I'm getting frustrated reading those short cuts... I get heated real easy.

Shpat! First of all congratulations!!!!!!!! You such a great couple! I always look at your pictures and think how you guys look great together!

Second, the same frustration happened to many of us at the beginning of reading this shortcuts stuff, I remember a week ago I felt the same...

Just simply read it several times, then start to watching and observing movements of people who is little ahead of you at the NVC process, and finally you became clearer and clearer with each passing day. And finally , I promise you will be filling that you know the steps by hard, day or night!

Weeeeeird. I just called the AVR and heard the message "NVC received the affidavit of support fee bill on August 25 2008..." This is odd for 3 reasons:

1. That means the AVR updated on a Wednesday, so we can now officially say its not restricted to Tuesdays and Saturdays.

2. It still shows as 'In Process' on the website (possibly due to my double payment though).

3. I only just PAID it on the 25th...so that means they received it same day.

Not complaining though! Now if my hubby would only get here (he's due on Friday) I can get him to sign the I-864 and we can mail that package off!

It IS weird! After your post I called AVR also, but still " We have no record of your case...." That is really strange and bugging me. My case is in for a week, I already paid my AOS bill, but they never acknowledge that they have it according to AVR...

here is my update to the list .I sent my DS3032 by mail today (Aug,27). Decided not to send by e-mail , since I have it in paper and signed by my husband.

By the way my status for AOS bill is also returned to "NOT PAID" :-) Because of your yesterday's experience I did not freak out, assuming may be it is the way how it is suppose to be. Is yours returned back to "In Process'" today??

I asked 2 times and both times the answer was -1 year is enough, I am doing the last year only. I think some people need 3 years based on their unique situation

You can also ask the IRS agent to fax the transcripts to you as well.

I have exactly the same situation and exactly the same question, I paid my bill immediately and worrying that it was premature.., and also holding off to sending DS3032, because I don't know if they are generated at the same time...

They are generated at exact same time, appear in AVR at the same time too. AVR will say: "3032 choice of agent form and AOS fee bill generated on August "blah" ....

Printed copies of your tax return are the same ...... regardless of filing method... the difference is how the IRS received them...

How long it REALLY takes to get them (based on real people experience) and if someone sent copy of it and NOT Transcripts, and it was accepted ?

I ordered my Tax Transcript from IRS yesterday, and it says would be delivered in 10 days.

If someone ordered it, what was your experience?? Have it really took that long?? Is anyone tried to expedited it for a fee?

The reason I need it fast because I soon to be in a stage to send my AOS to NVC, and I thought that I am fully prepared. But then I decide to ask operator- if I filed them electronically would the copy of it be OK, and she said that I need to order Transcripts.

However after that conversation I realized that I have not filled them electronically. I've done my Taxes through Tax Preparer.

And now I don't know if I can send that ? Is it different copy then if I filled electronically??

I ordered transcripts, but afraid that it will slow me down...

My update:

Today my "NOT Invoiced" status on online site changed to NOT PAID. I sure paid immediately!!!

However AVR is still saying :" Case not is in the system".

Question: Can I assume that DS3032 was also generated and send it finally off? Are AOS bill and DS3032 form generated at the same time?

My update: spoke to operator. My question was :

My case is in the system for almost a week, but AVR says "Case not in a system"

Her answer:

Your case is received , but not fully loaded in the system ...

so, I did expect to hear about "forms were generated", but still no. Her answer to my question about how soon it could be "fully loaded and forms generated" was usual 6 weeks.

My other questions regarding COPY of Police Report instead of original were answered as Yes, I can submit a copy as long the expiration date within 1 year .

I asked also about Tax returns. I asked her if I filed electronically, should I just send copy of it, and she answered no, in that case I need IRS Tax Transcripts. But actually I was wrong and did not ask her correctly. I did not filled electronically, my Taxes were prepared by Tax Preparer Person and he gave me my copies. And now I don't know in that case I still need to order Transcripts, or I good to go with Tax returns that I was given by my Tax Preparer.

Really frustrated about it...I thought that I have everything ready, and now I need to wait until they send it to me -up to 15 days...
