  1. Had our interview on the 7th. We were waiting for the physical to go through (they said about a week). I looked on the Ceac status check out of curiosity and it says refusal. My husband has a 10 year ban until February 9 2021, so I expected this (long story). We never thought we would get through the process so fast, we were aiming for mid 2021. Im guessing we will have to file a waiver of inadmisibility, even though the ban will expire before the waiver is processed. Just waiting for instructions from the embassy now. Wish us luck! 🤞🤞

Expedite sent. Wife has actually just started seeing a therapist of her own for this too so we used that. Damn email was more like an essay and we sent like 5 supporting documents, including her proof of accessing mental health services, a statement from the witness about me being attacked, screenshots of conversations between us about it, statements from people close to her about worrying about her mental state. Fingers crossed!

I actually included a scan of a hospital discharge after being admitted for what we thought was a heart attack. Turned out that it was anxiety and stress due to this process. I'm the US petitioner and it sped the process at NVC. It didn't hurt and it helps if you can show that the is causing great hardship on the US petitioner.

  3. Hi Katie,

I was wondering if you sorted anything with your husband's entry.

    We're in a similar pickle.

Husband overstayed 2010-2011. Voluntary departure 02-09-2011 (Feb 9, 2011) 10 year bar applied.

Re applied I130 from Spain in 2015, denied with eligibility of waiver, never filed, kids and myself return to Spain.

March 2020, filed new I130, approved, nvc processing atm.

If things continue like they have up to now, it's streamlining so fast, he will have an interview before the years end and he is legally inadmissible until 02-09-2021 (Feb 9 2021). So do you think they can waive a few (3-4) months or will they ask for an i601 even though his bar would expire before they could process it?

I spoke with the Embassy and they have said that we will have to 'wait for the interview for the consular officer to determine whether he is still inadmissible or not'.

Things are so different and confusing now.

    Any guidance is appreciated.
