  1. I think it's not from the stamp date, I read that the term for the visa is from the expiration of the medical, which is 6 months. Even though my wife had her interview on the 31st her visa expiry is NOT based on the 31st, it's 6 months from the medical date, so please take that into account when traveling.
  2. Ah I see then it's best to make your sister who makes the most be the main sponsor and husband the additional
  3. @Zs10102 If you need to use both of the their incomes to qualify then you'd need both of them to fill out a i864A form because one income is not enough. However, if you can just use the one that makes more money to qualify then just a single i865A should suffice (https://www.lawfirm4immigrants.com/joint-sponsor-i864-affidavit-of-support/#:~:text=What If the Additional Sponsor, his or her household member.)
  4. You can probably default to IR2 in that case if since technically the priority/cohort is the same. This is used for delivery of your passport so not indicative of your case
  5. @gr8life it's not in the first step, it's at the end, see attached screenshot: if you're on desktop it's on the top right part of the page, where your profile is shaped like a letter
  6. @gulkhan you can make your son a Pakistani NICOP, and with that they should show up under your FRC since they'll be part of the Nadra system. You can also email one of the consulates in the US about this and they can confirm this should be the case (I emailed nadrany@pakistanconsulateny.org for my FRC issues and they were fairly responsive).
  7. Mashallah Congrats!!! You'll be in AP for a couple of days and it will change to issued once they print it. If you have your passport delivered to a local office near you, you can track it via email by the email method stated here (https://www.ustraveldocs.com/pk/pk-niv-passporttrack.asp).
  8. Yes it's this one: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8asRTqA1J1cLfiZ59 This is the one that my wife went to for her interview. There will be a lot of people there who are also there for the interview, so it should be fine
  9. not sure what you mean by correct address, but it's supposed to be the Visa Seeker Shuttle Service area on google maps
  10. There should be counters where you queue up to purchase your ticket in the terminal, just tell the persons that it's for US embassy. Your interview is at 730, so it should be opening up at around 6 am
  11. the shuttle bus starts departing at ~6-7, https://maps.app.goo.gl/3WegcsDND77acrcn8 this is the shuttle area. Did your wife already get her ticket?
  12. Good luck to your wife on her interview tomorrow, inshallah it goes smoothly!
  13. It should be tax transcript, I didn't upload my returns as returns can get super long, so the transcript should suffice. If you do have W2s though make sure to upload those. My wife did alhumdulilah get the visa issued and picked up her passport on Saturday from lahore. So took ~a week to get.
  14. @Zs10102 from my understanding it should be the person that actually made the income. If your sister has some sort of income (e.g. W2, self employed, etc.). If your sister does not make any money it will show on the 1040 as 0 so the sponsor should be her husband in this case, but if she does and it passes the income threshold It should be fine.
  15. @Loading.... Just to for the record I by no means say take off your hijab for something as little as visa, my commentary was if you do have one just be prepared for it in regards to your visa 2x2 photograph (apologies if it came out the wrong way). A proper hijab is fine as long as the hairline is showing along with a paper stating that you are wearing it for religious purposes (https://ustraveldocs.com/id/id-niv-photoinfo.asp#:~:text=For applicants who wear a,or clothing obscuring the face.&text=Your photo must be square, the same as its width.) what's not fine is if you have a loosely put on dupatta (as my wife did) that's what will get rejected. I dont have a pic but just image putting on a scarf over your head lol. @Machinecorpse62 my comment was in regards to the 2x2 photograph. Hijab is fine, I have no idea about burkha I think it's probably okay to enter the embassy, but the CO will probably ask to verify the identity. Also pretty sure a burkha will not work for the passport picture (if it did super easy to scam the entire process).
  16. @Machinecorpse62 Good luck to your wife on her interview, I'd recommend going to where the visa shuttle is the day before just get used to the location and just a heads up a line starts forming ~5 am in the parking lot so be sure to get there early. Also not sure if this was discussed please make sure your wife has a picture without any headscarf (dupatta) because a lot of folks my wife told me got theirs rejected (even with a signed statement saying they wear a headscarf), unless it's a proper hijab and is shown through out all of the documents. And not to overwhelm you here's some questions (has some duplicates so ignore them) that my wife and I have gathered over the past few months from different threads: Probable Questions at Interview: - Who is calling you there? - Address of my spouse? - Siblings of your spouse? - Who sponsored your wife? - When did you get married? -How long you have been married? - Where did you get married? - Was your marriage arranged or love? - How many guests invited at wedding? - Are you guys related? - How did you guys meet? - What does she do for living? - Is this her permenant/full time job? - What does she do in her current job? -when did she graduated ? - Where does she work ? - Whom does she live with? - What do you do for living? - Tell me about your education? - What will you do in the US? - When was the last time she visited you? -where is your wife now ? - Is it your first marriage? - Do you both have any children? -when was your son born ? -which hospital he was born at ? - Who is your joint sponsor? - What does your Joint Sponsor do? - Whats your wife’s age? - Whats her date of birth? -what kind of car your wife drives? - Do you have any travel history? - When did your wife arrive in the US for the first time & when? - Where did she land for the first time? - When did she become a US Citizen? - Places she has lived before the present one? -How many times she have visited you till now ? 1. 17. my wife said the only thing they took from her were the original documents for marriage and birth. The way she described it was that when she entered the embassy and got her token she submitted the originals for the marriage (nikkah Nama Urdu + translation, nadra marriage certificate, birth certificate, and FRC). After that she went to another window where the CO was, who was very nice. My wife wanted a translator due to just some apprehension, but the CO said her English was fine. She asked the same questions I mentioned above about me and what I do, and if this is both of ours first marriage. Said congrats and sent her on her merry way. My wife didn't even open her binder to give any thing for proof, the CO was just looking at her computer and the original docs mentioned above. I think the whole interview ordeal took like 6-7 minutes. They said that we should get our passport back within 1-2 weeks inshallah.
  18. Alhumdulilah, wife's just got approved. It did not take that long at all, and they did not take any documents. Asked super basic questions on what does your husband do, where he lives and that's it. Said congratulations and sent her on her way. For others ours was a pretty straight forward case: Updated i864EZ, tax transcripts, W2s, and employment letter. Uploaded FRC for my wife and no other docs She took a bunch of stuff with her for bonafide marriage (didn't look at anything): Remitance logs WhatsApp logs instagram chats snapchat logs flight tickets medical receipt ds260 confirmation ~50 pics through collage all original documents (birth certificate, nadra marriage cert, nikkah Nama Urdu + translation)
  19. Alhumdulilah, congrats on you guys getting this milestone. Ours is literally in 12 hours, inshallah it goes well 🙏!
  20. @Machinecorpse62 @podeena for the medical report we need to take with us, it seems pretty sparse, just vaccine status. Is that all we need to take when we travel in the future, I assume no need for X-rays?
  21. Yeah I uploaded almost everything, I read that there's no need for the bonafide stuff to be uploaded to ceac, so just taking it as a binder. Mostly uploaded the pertinent docs regarding marriage + finances. Next week is fast approaching Inshallah it goes well
  22. @podeena @Machinecorpse62 for the bonafide evidence (e.g. chats, phone logs, pics) did you upload them to NVC? Or just planning on taking them with you to the interview. I uploaded all the relevant info in terms of financial documents already from my side, but dont see any option for my wife.
  23. Yeah it's on the 31st and was just double checking everything. And yeah @Machinecorpse62 make sure your wife does fill out all the info. I already filled out everything in the update profile section @podeena, not sure if I need to schedule anything but dont see any upcoming visa appts on the profile
  24. hmm but on their pre interview checklist it says to do this BEFORE the interview (step 1) https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/ISL-Islamabad.html
  25. @podeena @Machinecorpse62 did you need to register something specific on the us travels doc website? My wife doesn't see anything that she needs to fill out besides updating her profile. And for the mailing address this has to be an address in Pakistan right, where I assume they will mail out the visa, but most likely we will pick it up from the embassy?
