I am so happy for ALLLLL these people getting appointments. I wasn't expecting 3 months be called in a row. Hopefully the wait won't be as long as I was predicting.

Don't want to get too excited here, but just want to daydream a little and hope this good news continues. 
 
It's nice for a moment to imagine, and hope, that they'll continue prioritizing IR1/CR1, and:
 
January: Rest of March, April, first half of May
 
February: Rest of May, June, first half July
 
March: Rest of July, August, first half September
 
April: Rest of September, October, first half of November
 
I also wonder the amount of cases after July (which makes only sense due to COVID restrictions). From the spreadsheet, the number of cases seem pretty steady until July (about 20 cases per month), where they look to drop by half. I also anticipate that the spreadsheet represents a sample of about 1/3 of what the reality is.
 
So again, perhaps this is some glimmer of hope things will continue!

Happy Friday everyone! It seems that the last of the March fiancé’s were scheduled today.  I am not one for being optimist, it’s not a trait of mine when it comes to this issue 😂 - but I feel I have no choice, given the optics.  We HAVE to see letters next week.  I am going to keep emailing and sending messages on the social media.  For those who do the same, please continue as well! 
 
i also wanted to say thanks to everyone new and old in this group for not getting personal about politics in terms of ragging on our Canadian politicians, especially given the 2 weeks quarantine requirement for Canada.  I am also part of the reunification advocacy group on the Facebook and while the group has done a tremendous amount for non- married couples, there is a lot of derogatory talk that is very off putting.  I am grateful this isn’t the case with this group, as I find it to be a useful resource and a necessity for finding out what’s happening.  I know we’ve had our moments about other issues, but we are doing pretty darn good, for the most part.  
 
Here’s to our January DQ’s and getting their damn IL’s next week!  🥂 🙌🏻🥳

In the meantime, for those that are still waiting - like me - are we supposed to receive any news this week? Tomorrow is election, so there will be no excuse that this processing is going slow because of elections.

I am more than up to get loud on social media. I think we can't use their pre-pandemic scheduling pattern to evaluate the new one, after all, they now have a backlog.
Also, they have a new director, which I think would be great to bring some changes to this consulate.

So for what I understood, we are supposed to receive new interview dates today or Thursday, correct? 
 
I really want to start getting loud on social media. Also, in the mean time, I will check with the lawyer we know to see what else we can do. 

I would be THRILLED if we could get updates this week, but they traditionally send out new interview batches mid-month. Trust me, this period of time spent waiting for an interview date is just PAINFUL. 😩

Guys, did someone try to call the embassy customer service, to see if they give any hint if interviews at the NVC will be scheduled soon?

I imagine we are all living a very stressful situation here. It's very hard to live with no idea of when this whole mess will be over. This is making me sick, somehow.
 
I tried to call them, there's no phone I can reach them.
I tried to write them, I got a very impersonal email, an automatic message. Did I deserver it?
I tried to just be patient, and wait. But I can't. I can't just ignore this situation when my heart aches. I never thought the distance would be this hard to deal with. 
 
Let's be honest,
We just need some idea of when this waiting will be over.
We just need to be close to the person/people we love.
We need shelter. 
 
It hurts to see my loved one in the other side of a video call, crying. I feel hopeless, because I can't do anything about it. I wish I could. 
 
These groups and forums help me, a little. I know that my pain is shared with other thousands of people, facing very identical situations. I find myself strong when I see that you guys are being strong.
 
I really hope this will be over for us soon. And we can actually be with our loved ones.
I really hope Montreal Consulate opens, and deals smartly with their backlogs.
I really hope that this situation make us stronger somehow.
I really hope there will be no scars at the end. At least not too many, because let's be honest, there's a lot of scars already.
 
I don't know if Montreal Consulate representatives actually check these forums, if they do:
 
I know there's a lot of pressure one you right now.
I know that the future is unpredictable at this point.
I also know that you can feel the pain these people (us) are feeling. 
 
Be light in the middle of this darkness and bring happiness to these people. Help them as you were helping your own family. 
You have this power, and you can use it to build great thing, and be of great help.
