If you don’t have a legitimate reason, you can’t expedite.
Everyone is struggling in some capacity
I’ve seen people here, who got their request for an expedite interview approved, and there they wrote, that they just miss their significant other so much and also have some financial problems.

The moscow embassy is open.
If you mean when will it resume routine visa services, that no one knows
I mean, the conducting on interviews for the “mission critical” category of visas.

So thers can help you more effectively. You can compare your timeline with other, similar applications.
It is impossible to help you, because no one knows anything about you. It’s a two way street here! I don’t even know what visa you are applying for.
It’s a CR1 spousal visa.
Just now, jarrod679 said:Fine. I’ll stop helping you then.
Best of luck
Apologies, I didn’t want to seem rude.

Daria, you should really create a visa timeline, it would be helpful to others, and to you.
Also, I sincerely do not think, that my question somehow connects to the “timeline“ of my immigration process.

Thats because it is confidential, the reason is very personal and I wouldn’t fully share with strangers the reason why.
If you check NVC, they say what you can expedite a case for, and how to go about it.
I saw the reasons (like serious illness or death), but what if you just have mental illness after all of this waiting time lol...

To this very second, I do not see the reason of creating a timeline. After all, what does it change?)

what kind of information?
Like when will it reopen and start doing mission critical visa interviews?..

No. I have my interview next week. I got it expedited, but for different reasons.
How to get it effectively expedited? Could you please share?
In fact, no one really shares the info about this, like it’s so confidential.

Does anyone have any information about the Moscow US Consulate specifically???

I got that notice about 8 or so weeks after submitting. NVC were unsympathetic to speeding up the review.
Was doubly annoying as we paid Boundless to go over everything. At least they gave a full refund.
You gave up on the whole process???

you go to the bottom of the queue, sadly.
My i-864 was rejected for it being an editable PDF (not flattened)
I would have been interviewed before the lockdown if that was correct.
Also how much time did it take for you to receive that notice, after you submitted all of the documents?

When did you receive a notice to change it??

We got all the other documents approved already. Just two I-864 were rejected, because we didn’t attach the last pages.
Does anyone know how much time will it take now to get those approved??
Thanks so much for any responses.

If the joint sponsor is married, his wife will need to do the I-864A.
He’s divorced.

Did they maybe exclude the last two pages (after signature page) from the upload? That's the most common error/reason for denial I have been seeing here with said comment.
The last two pages are rarely filled out by anyone, but belong to the form and therefore must be included in the PDF that you upload to NVC.
I’m assuming that is the reason probably...

Did the father do the I-864a?
He did the same form as my spouse. I-864 as our joint sponsor.
I actually do not know what is I-864a specifically.
1 hour ago, Lucky Cat said:Yes, all forms and supporting documents must be complete with all pages......and they do read the documents....
Even the last two pages? Where no one writes anything? They read those too?

Dearest People, please help us with an advice!
Yesterday we got an update notice from the NVC. They approved all of our provided documents (AoS, civil documents, etc.), except for the forms I-864 for my husband and his father (we have a joint sponsor). In the explaining notice they stated, that all of the pages must be submitted, so I’m assuming my husband missed uploading all of the pages.
Had anyone faced this before? Do they actually need pages even that they do not read?
And do they mention all of the mistakes in the explaining comment?
Thanks everyone so much in advance.
I was just broken today’s morning, when we got everything accepted, except those two forms. So disappointing.

It's more of a situational refusal since they say to resend the expedite request again once embassy starts accepting cases. So technically i'm asking for the same expedite request multiple times.
Where did you hear this from?
Just from people here on VJ.

Twice - i'm in the process of disputing a third expedite request under the merit of financial emergencies surrounding the pandemic. Both previous expedite requests were turned down because Moscow embassy was closed - but i am quoting and referring to the mission critical statement the DOS made a couple of weeks back. I'm getting farther along with the request but nothing yet.
I’ve heard, that even the Moscow Consulate is conducting interviews individually for some visa types, including the spousal.

Your acquaintance or?

Yes we're applying for a CR1 Visa. Hopefully Moscow starts scheduling interviews - it's been a lengthy wait since we started the process (13 months ago).
Have you tried to expedite?

It took us roughly two months after the NVC received our AOS package to receive our DQ. Submitted Jan 9th, DQed March 10th. Still waiting on Interview.
Are you guys also doing the CR1 visa?
