There's no fee if you went through NVC process and paid all your fees there.
If you expedited and bypassed NVC entirely, then there is.
Thank you!

Hey guys, wanted to clarify. Is there actually any fee when you go to your interview at the US Embassy? Spousal visa CR-1, country Russian Federation.

Honestly it's the embassy weddings, birthdays, anniversaries we all know Philippines is notorious very very lax expedite approvals it's their prerogative. Others you could be on your deathbed it's not happening. So it's all about your embassy, and a convincing letter of why, timing and embassy workload.
So, just need to touch them with words, huh.

Stop trolling these forums Daria... You ask questions you know the answer to.
I’m not trolling anyone. I’m asking questions to get the decent information. Be understanding. We’re all going through hell, while this immigration process is happening.

I see you are asking a lot of questions, with an updated timeline it may benefit you by getting more targeted responses on your country and current step in the process. Most if not all, in this forum are DQ'd and waiting for an interview scheduled. in some cases, people have requested an expedite based on their own personal reasons. Some reason may be accepted by one embassy and not the other. That's why there are varying reasons you see floating around.
Yes, will work on that rn.

You can try expedited but that isnt one of the reason on USCIS reason to expedited. Every one on this planet can than file expedited.
Depends on the embassy most of all.

We requested an expedite for medical and financial reasons. I am immunocompromised and have several healthy conditions that make this an especially scary time to live alone.
We are incredibly lucky that they took the current climate into consideration.Thank you for sharing.

But as far as wanting to expedite because you miss your spouse, one could argue that that's literally every person in this forum. Most of us haven't seen our spouses (and kids in some instances) in at least 4 months. If everyone got expedited for this reason, it would essentially mean that expediting is useless. That said, if you feel you have a genuine need to expedite, by all means try. Be honest and write the reasons that are affecting you personally and see what they say.
I haven’t seen my spouse in 7 months already.

If be honest it’s depends of embassy. But you can try expedite many times. So try it now, if it not help then try after DQ
What was yours?

Yes, it’s true. But I think to expedite before DQ need really have important reason. Maybe I am wrong.
So better to do after DQ then?

Just now, Kate.Alday said:
Sorry, try to think. So you got DQ already from NVC?
Not yet. But someone told me, that I can write a letter to expedite before being DQed.

I did
What is the good reason to state, if you don’t have any illnesses or deaths?

You need to send the letter only after you DQed?

Most interviews are cancelled apart from expedites
There are a few DCF filers and also some CR/IR1 visa interviews that weren't expedited that have happened recently but they're very few and far between. I can only speak for London Embassy though, I'm not sure about others.
K1 and DCF interviews get arranged by the applicant online (not sure of all the details) so people have been booking slots but the London embassy has been cancelling the K1s
Or because of the European travel ban?

Please be informed that your Emergency immigration request (IR1) is accepted and we can schedule an appointment for the beneficiary as soon as we move to phase One and start processing emergency visa cases"
3 days ago got this message after sending a request for an emergency interview. Also sent a request to expedite to NVC, did not hear anything back yet
US consulate Almaty
Where did you send the request to?

Because of Coronavirus second wave?

Yes. I plan to contact the embassy when my case arrives so that I can arrange a date.
It shouldn't affect me as they're still conducting urgent interviews which expedites are classed as. Also I believe the ones that they have been cancelling in the UK for August are K1 fiance visa interviews and I'm filing for IR1 spouse visa
Ah, so just the fiancé K-1 visa interviews were actually cancelled?
-
Just now, hannahjsf said:
I don't have an interview date yet. Because it's an expedite my interview is arranged with the Embassy rather than NVC. It's still in transit but once it gets to London I'll book a date and update everyone in here
So because it’s an expedite, you choose the date by yourself?
But today the London Embassy cancelled all the interviews for August... Will that affect you?

Hello all.
We just received our interview date. Kyiv, Aug 28. They must have read my mind - I was going to inquire next week about our case.
Wish everyone here the same luck we had with the relatively quick processing and the opening of your respective embassies.
Fingers crossed that the interview doesn't get cancelled or postponed.
Lol, even UKRAINE starts to schedule the interview dates, and RUSSIA is silent..... 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

We submitted our expedite before DQ but had it approved the day after we got our DQ notice from the NVC. We got so many emails in the span of one week that it was hard to keep everything straight!
no problem at all, I typically update my timeline right away. My husband is calling the embassy tomorrow to see if he can get more information about scheduling, he wants to have it in writing what he’s expected to do. I’ve only ever heard of the embassy emailing but I’ll keep ya posted!also, you’ll probably get an email In the next few days saying that your interview with the nvc was “cancelled” - this is normal and I don’t want you panicking like I did! This happens for expedited cases because they have to clear out any interviews that may or may not be scheduled so that you can book your own ☺️
What was your reason for expedite?
23 hours ago, hannahjsf said:nvcexpedite@state.gov
I emailed Monday July 6th in the afternoon. They replied to say they were reviewing it on Friday, July 10th. Then I got the approval email 4AM today (BST). So just under 10 days total.
What is your interview date?

Haven’t we paid it in advance to the USCIS when filing the I-130 form?
