Ireland going into a 6 week lockdown potentially after Xmas so unlikely for an interview now anytime soon. Go another email now from NVC again stating your interview has been cancelled. Thats some glitchy system they have ehh? Two meaningless emails in two weeks, telling me completely useless and inaccurate information...

Ah I was going to call as well, but expected a similar answer to be honest. We have not heard anything or seen any movement in the case since. Although I have seen other posts from other embassy threads saying they received a similar email then their case was sent to embassy and scheduled for interview like a week later. Not sure if there is any relation to whats happening here or coincidence. Our case was transferred from AD embassy to Dublin about two days before we received that email. I just assumed the glitch had to do with the transferring of the embassies.
 
AD has started scheduling interviews though finally. May and June DQ dates seem to have been scheduled in January. Hope this helps.

Ah thats very good to know! We just received an odd email from NVC saying the interview had been cancelled, but we were never assigned an interview date to begin with...wondering if that means something is in the works in their system that will move the case soon to the embassy? Any idea? Sorry for all the questions, I've just noticed you're quite knowledgeable 🙂

Hi JenIE- you're saying it took two weeks to receive the passport back? Was this through mail? We talked a while back and my husbands case finally got transferred to Dublin, so wondering how long he will actually need to be there what with a 14 day quaarantine (potentially) and waiting for the passport to be returned. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Immigration is a privilege and not a right, and the process takes time and requires patience. I know it’s hard, but you cannot force the timelines of a privilege.
Covid was unplanned for, and the embassies will resume visa processing when it’s decided to be safe for embassy employees. The US Spouse can travel to the beneficiary for the time being, if they have a valid visa (or no need for such) for beneficiaries country.

Hey for those of you awaiting in UAE. The Consular Unit sent an e-mail re resuming mission critical IRs and CRs soon. Sorry I don't have a clear snapshot. No update on routine services. Hope you hear more soon.
 

Hello, we just received our DQ so joining here, getting in line to wait for embassies to re-open Beneficiary will interview in Abu Dhabi, since Baghdad Embassy is closed (again) since January 2020.

Here is the latest from Abu Dhabi: they are catching up on previously scheduled immigrant visas.
 
 

Thanks for the reply! Just saw today on another site that Paris embassy  had scheduled an interview for someone, and also another person chimed in with Seoul, Korea. Hope these are not isolated cases (they did not seem to be on an emergency basis, as the people were suprised to be scheduled).
