Just to throw in a current timetable. My wife and stepdaughter arrived at LAX a week ago Tuesday night 10/26. Social Security cards showed up in my mailbox earlier today, Tuesday 11/02. So 7 days exactly from POE for the SS cards to be delivered.
The CBP Officer processing them at LAX had a rather sarcastic outlook towards his collogues at USCIS and told my wife it might be 6 months or more for the Green Cards to show up, if at all, and she may need to call USCIS a few times to nudge the process along since they are being so slow lately,,,, but that she is fine to travel with just her stamped visa.
This is awesome intel thanks. Flying to LAX on Friday and have 12 days between arrival to ideally get my SSN for my new job onboarding stuff to go smoothly!

Yo thanks, had mine yesterday. Very smooth and approved on the spot. Posted my review. Good luck everyone else. Before you enter the south pavilion there's a desk of someone looking at DS260 and passports. Head up there first thing before joining the main queue and it's likely you'll be ushered to front of the queue as I was. Arrived at 8:30am for a 9am appointment and glad I did as it was pretty crowded.

Anyone get an interview letter for October, I can see all the Canadians got theirs yesterday, hopefully other countries get theirs soon too, still not giving up hope
Nope. The erratic nature of this part of the process is killing me...

I had my interview on Friday and a few of us had to wait a while after handing in their documents because there was only one "interviewing" staff member in instead of two, (the lady apologised when it was my turn because it was just her on duty) so it sounds like they probably have some people off sick or something at the moment. Hope this is helpful, don't suppose its anything to worry about it if you can reschedule it easily.
Fingers crossed we get some October interviews announced today then if there's sickness reducing capacity!

DQ June 16th - Interview 16th.
Dayum, I need to hurry up getting the house ready for market!
I got DQ'd - June 15th and haven't had anything through yet. Panic! Someone put me at ease please?!

Someone I follow updated their timeline today who's yet to post here - https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=390951. 14th Sep interview date with a DQ date of 24th May!
Are both parties emailed when they're interview is scheduled or is it only posted via mail? I (the beneficiary) have moved address since DQ and don't see a way of updating my address. Is it important to update it for receiving confirmation of interview date and also for where to send passport with visa in it, or am I ok to leave it? Thanks!

No specific recommendation to WFH now from the 19th of July, so zero excuses not to be operating at full capacity now. Full steam ahead!

Been on this forum for a while and upshot is there are people who got DQ'd in Feb still awaiting to even be invited to interview. I reckon you're looking at another 4 months minimum.

Yep - we went to the back of the queue - incredibly frustrating - so you're new date becomes the day you 'resubmitted'. Took about another month to get DQd. The processing times on the website are very accurate, although note that I had to call to chase and get my case flagged to a supervisor (it got DQ'd the same day) as they claimed to have processed past when I submitted. So definitely chase!

Finally got DQ'd today! Will also pitch and say how I strongly feel there's no need in most cases for a face to face interview when a Zoom call will suffice. Now we play the waiting game! Can I also just sense check, now I got the massage saying Documentarily Qualified I just sit tight and wait for an email confirming interview slot & details of medical instruction. Nothing else to do and this is emailed rather than posted?

Ok here's what happened to me like you CR1 - checked box on DS260 to automatically request SSN. Paid immigrant fee weeks before entering. Waited three weeks after entry (as advised) and still no SSN. Called up local SSA and they couldn't find me in the system - great! Lady on phone gave me a passcode to give to the security guard who let me do a walk in. Took my endorsed visa and other ID and filled out a paper application for a SSN. Arrived in the mail about 4 working days later. Like others I had already started working without having an SSN.
