Just got in the mail today a letter with my access code and whatnot, created a myuscis account and popped it in and saw all my documents I sent along with a PDF showing the 48 month extension.
Very cool, didn't have all that when we did the AOS years back
Well this seems to be moving along quick... just got notice of Biometrics now being scheduled 2 weeks from now. Do they not reuse biometrics from the AOS though? Seems weird because she did it twice already back when we did the initial app

Wow, that was fast for USCIS to acknowledge it. I guess we are a day behind you. Mailed Wed, delivered Fri.
Yeah I was certainly surprised. In fact they charged my credit card literally the day after it got there. I wonder if they just process card payment applications quicker than the checks?
Mine went to Carol Stream IL

I just sent out my wife's packet last Tuesday, it got there Thur and just this morning got notice of receipt. Honestly we both forgot about it until super last minute (her conditional card expires next week). Whipped up the packet over the weekend, think I have a decent amount of evidence but have a feeling we'll get an RFE. At least should hopefully get an extension letter now that receipt has been confirmed.

EAD is NOT a travel document and you do not enter on EAD. Does she have AP?
Yeah sorry. She has the EAD/AP combo card we applied for with the i-485

My wife has a pending AOS and we do have her EAD card/social security/etc and would like to go to Spain to visit her family since they haven't been able to come here due to the restrictions. Only thing we're worried about is her possibly having trouble getting back into the country with just a combo card since we heard there may still be restrictions re-entering the country... is this true? Or is there no problem coming back with an EAD right now?

Packet was accepted on May 4 and FINALLY received a notice that my wife's EAD card is being made. Took way longer than we expected, but fortunately we were able to get by just fine.
Hopefully soon we get that interview scheduled notice!

We had to wait longer. I applied with my wife for her AOS in late June and she just got biometrics in late Jan. Just recently got hte update that her EAD card is ordered.. finally

Call em up and try to get a Tier2 agent. I was able to get one and he put in a request that processed and then got a letter a couple weeks later
-
just curious, how long after biometrics did she get her EAD? My wife's NOA is May 6 and she just did her biometrics Jan... anxiously awaiting the EAD

That is probably what I will end up doing as well. I assume that you did not get an RFE or anything like that?
Nope no RFE. I did get one for my wife's birth certificate.. which she did have but I'm guessing they mixed it up. So I assume that means they went through the rest and didn't find any problems

I just sent the coverage limits that show on the website and an email showing that I added my wife onto my plan

I was told that with covid you can't do walk ins when I called USCIS. YMMV.
My wife had an appointment back in August... the night before she cut her finger cutting a potato and they turned her around and made her reschedule... we FINALLY just got a notice to go in mid-Jan now. Super annoying because she probably would've had her EAD by now...
I called up and talked to several different people and pretty much everyone just told me tough luck, gotta wait.

I realized I didn't get enough passport photos from walgreens when I got them for my package. I scanned and copied them on my cheapo inkjet printer and cut them to size and no one's said anything about them lol
-
Mine updated to RFE received after about 5 days of receipt, for a diff RFE though they didn't like the birth certificate we sent in

It wasn't too bad for my wife and I.. I just added some of our assets like our house and an appraisal showing it's worht more than we have on our mortgage and a few other pages. Only PITA was waiting for the letter to come in for her credit report since no SSN but overall wasn't horrible. I think main problem is though if people are receiving benefits.. luckily I never and she never had to use any in the past so was mostly straightforward and I assume most people will have the same case

@Tjg312 I just wanted to see if you got an rfe or if everything still went ok without the equivalency. I’m about ready to submit and just wanted to be sure
Hey there,
I did get a RFE for birth certificate(I sent it, but i'm guessing they didn't like that we translated it ourselves, so I just got it done by another company), but nothing at all about that.
I got confirmation of RFE received and nothing else, so I'm guessing since I didn't get an RFE for that with my birth certificate one we're good

I sent mine on May 15th , Received notice on June 11th . While talking to customer Representative they mentioned that due to some shifts of data from old system to new , things are slow. Hopefully u get it soon !
What was RFE about ?
RFE was asking for birth certificate. not sure why because it was the proper certificate already sent and translated by my wife and certified. We ended up just having it translated by a third party company and resent again with their translation

I sent mine May 4 got NOA on May 21 and RFIE on june 9
-
I did 2 when I did it last month and they both got charged just fine
-
from what I've read only con is that you lose out on the money you already paid... but if that's a non issue sounds like it's the best way for you to go
-
hey guys,
just wanted to let you all know for my wife we just sent pictures her parents sent of her diplomas and then she translated all of them to english and added a copy certifying her translations.
We got all 4 NOAs for the forms, so it seems it may not be required. With that said we may get a RFE/RFIE but at least our case didn't get rejected
