It’s only been 5 business days. Yes, that’s normal. Have you been aware of delays with USPS due to covid?!
that sounds like a sarcastic question. thanks for replay!

Hi everyone,
Yesterday I had my appointment at dmv for my driving exam but I left from there so sad.i couldn't take the test because I didnt had the green card.
I thought that if I have just ead it will be fine, but guess I was wrong.
I'm still waiting for my interview to be scheduled.
Now my question is:you could obtain your dl without having the permanent residence? I want to go to work but how can I go when I cant apply for dl.Its so depressing.
Thanks in advance
From my experience here in Fla I had to wait a month after getting my EDA to be able to apply for dl. SSN plus EDA and 2 bills in your name with one same address.

Then you do not need the I-944.
Sounds great! Thank you

Are you adjusting status or filing spouse visa consular processing?.
I checked your profile and it seems you are in the middle of AOS. I was a bit confused because you posted in the regular IR1/CR1 visa forum, which is typically for consular visa processing. There is a separate AOS forum.
You do not need the I-944 if you applied before a cetain date - I believe Feb 2020 (not sure of the exact date).
Apologies it seems I always miss place my post onto a wrong forum. Yes in the middle of AOS here in the US applied for it end of 2018. Now waiting for interview letter to arrive they have send it out yesterday on the 6th.
Hope this clears things out

Thank you for your replay. What about public charge rule? I944?
8 minutes ago, SteveInBostonI130 said:That is for USCIS if you adjust status. It does not apply to embassy interviews.
Also, a few months ago the state department stopped requiring DS-5540.
Yes, AOS by USCIS do I need I-944
THANKS!

Bring the originals of the IV documents that you uploaded to the NVC. Bring additional relationship evidence, especially if you have more photos and evidence of being together and communicating after you submitted the I-130 petition. Bring a copy of the I-864 and tax return transcripts or return forms with W2s.
Thank you for your replay. What about public charge rule? I944?

Hello all, After waiting since March 16th our interview is scheduled. Just waiting on the notice to arrive. Any advice on interview check list? Do I need I-944 DS-5540 or such. Rather be ahead of the game than empty handed. We filled end of 2018 prior public charge if that does anything. Thank you kindly! Will keep you up to date.

I just got my EAD approved and hope to get it in the mail soon. I’ve seen some conflicting information on whether SSN cards are being sent out now. What has been the experience of people here? Have you been getting the SSN cards after your EADs or not because the offices are closed?
Thanks
Hi, I have received my EAD and about a month later my ssn. Called in to the local ss office to put inquiry in and about 2 weeks later my ssn card arrived in mail. Everything seems to be delayed. They are working in the background just takes forever.

I don’t know, but I think if you got the EAD you don’t need the approval notice anymore. However I requested a duplicate just to make sure.
you should get notice of action. Approval in mail before getting EAD card. Any of you got ssn after getting EAD? if so how long did you wait?
Thanks

30 days is a really long time ...let’s hope we get it soon ..based on visa journey data ..I see that till June 5 ..people got their EAD cards in a week ..not sure what happened after that !
Good morning! So today my case status change to "Card was mailed to me'' after 14 days from the time case was approved. I called them for the 2nd time yesterday but they said to keep on waiting up to 60days... nuts
I'd say give them a call once your case was approved to inquire whats going on. I'll follow up once I get cards in hand.

I had my EAD approved ten days back. I have not received the approval notice or the card still.
any updates in your case ? Got the card ?
its the 25th today I have not received my EAD or SSN in hand. Did get Approval notice in mail. I called USCIS to inquire and was advised to wait at least 30 days. Absolutely nuts!

Now that you mention it, I did get tracking info when it was sent out. I believe on the MyUSCIS portal when I logged in it had the tracking number, I'll log in now and check.
I received tracking number and then 2 days later card was delivered, overall from my dates in the system it took about 7 days from card being produced to in our mailbox.
Thanks for looking into it for me! I might start calling them tomorrow if notching changes.

Maybe you have that backwards. when my wife got her EAD/AP combo card it went from case was approved, then a few days later was card is being produced, then we received the card about a week later. exact dates are on my timeline, but after card being produced you should see it in 7 days I would think.
Funny you say that on the 12th it said ''New card is being produced'' and then comes Monday the 15 message changed to ''Case was approved'' Called USCIS on Friday 19 requesting tracking info for the card I was informed there was no tracking just yet.

Hello all,
My combo card was approved on the 12th of this month. Still nothing in mail and status changed from "Card being produced'' to ''Your case was approved" all great. Any idea how long to get actual cards and ssn in hand?
thanks! Sean

I jumped on the '19 taxes and submitted them to be done asap. Luckly USCIS gave us 87 days to get this done so we have some room!

Hi! I got the same RFE last month and sent in my 2019 tax forms (I had literally just filed taxes the week prior). I assumed they just wanted 2016-2018 as well since we filed for AOS in December, but once I sent in my 2019 tax forms my case changed to “Ready to Be Scheduled for Interview”.
Okay, It seems like its happening to many people. I will jump on those taxes asap! thank you for your input.
10 year GC in hand!
