  1. Same thing, WAC case transferred to NBC, we filed in February 2020, I got two email notifications on Dec 16 and the letter came in on 12/22. We did get a notification saying biometrics were applied back in september, there was no language on our letter about "speeding up" the process, we moved to a different state and I assumed that was the reason behind the transfer, but it seems CSC is transferring workload to different offices. We'll see if we get any updates soon.

  2. WAC ROC filer here, file jointly

    receipt date: 2/13/2020

    fingerprints applied (without appointment): 09/11/2020

we moved from CA to IL in September

    address change confirmed: 09/28/2020

Case was transferred: 12/16/2020- got an email notification saying case status changed to "Initial Review" but this isn't showing on the website

Haven't received the notice in the mail, but assuming our case was transferred due to the change of address, not sure what office we were transferred to or what's next, but at least it's moving.

    And now we wait...

Mine is at WAC too. It is amazing how similar sometimes it is going for different people 🙂  In other centers too

im WAC too, my case status did update online to show fingerprints taken, and according to informed delivery i have something coming in the mail today. I just sent an address change request as we are moving to Illinois, wondering how much that will delay our case...

Question about renewing driver license: I know each state may have their own rules, but would love for your input/experience/feedback :)

    Here is my experience:

I made appointment to renew my DL before the pandemic and the appointment date was in June knowing my DL expires in July.

During the appointment at DMV, everything worked fine: submitting documents, taking photos, etc. until I heard the DMV staff told me "it will be up to Sacramento(California DMV headquarter) to decide if they want to renew my license"... I asked "but I have all the documents you need including 18 months extension letter", the staff answered, "but your legal status is still to be decided." I know it was bullsh*t when I heard her answer. I have a feeling she was making her own rules up but I didn't question further.

Then weeks pass by I still haven't received the new license and on early September, my 3 months temporary license expires. I called DMV yesterday and they told me my legal paper work is still under review and pending. The DMV representative gave me a DMV legal team number to call and said, "they are very hard to reach", which is true. She also suggest me to just go to the DMV office and get another temporary license.

I wonder how is everyone else doing with expiring DL? I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

Which office did you go to? I'm in Sacramento too and renewed my license with my extension letter last month, it was not an issue at all, I got my license (Real ID) in the mail 10 days later, maybe try another office? Sounds like the person you talked to didnt know what she was doing.

Any one who as the ROC process at the California center (WAC) and got their biometrics waived/appointment scheduled? I'm a July filler and noticed that WAC is going really slow on the biometrics but all the other centers are going so much faster.

Feb 2020 filler here, no biometrics or anything after the extension letter, 7 months waiting for biometrics, not expecting anything soon tho...

Apparently, it is partly because it is WAC which is the slowest among all centers from what I see. I wonder if anyone from February filers have any updates for WAC. Haven't seen in the topic.

we are WAC too, havent heard anything on biometrics either, basically no updates since we received the extension letter, i do follow the California fillers thread, and a few Nov- Dec 2019 fillers got their biometrics waiver a few weeks ago, we are in for a LONG wait, I'm expecting to hear something within the next month, at least for biometrics, but who knows!

Ah I see, because mine showed that they are working on it at Unkown location! so not sure if it still at Nebraska or have been transfered to local field office.

Hi! i have read in other threads that these are all automated status, they work on data bases and algorithms, if the information about your office wasnt input into your case, when the status is generated your office shows as "unknown location", meaning it can just be someone didn't enter all the info into the system when working your case, not necessarily that it has been transferred.

We just hit 15 mos. without any update since the "case received" status - not even an update after the fingerprints were taken.

My wife's extension letter expires in late July so we have about another 2 mos. before we have to figure out what to do if we don't have an approval or they don't re-open the local offices.

    Good luck!

it is my understanding that if your letter expires you can call to make an appointment to get a stamp on your passport, (according to their website they are planning on opening offices on June 4th), you can also submit a case inquiry in you go over normal processing times posted on: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/.

Here is more info on case inquiries:

Recently moved and have not been getting mail at new place. I am a little worried that I may have missed important mail? Is there a number you can call to possibly get a case number or check for updates online? Unfortunately did not sign up for the text notifications when I mailed it in...

did you move before getting your case number? when did you file?

My wife and I sent our package on 2/21 by UPS to the Lewisville lockbox facility and per the tracking information it was delivered on 2/25.  Our check hasn't been cashed yet and we haven't received any e-mail or text.  I suppose it's still a bit early to worry, but the "Proof of Delivery" information looks a little weird to us.  It says the package was "Left At Dock".  What does that mean?  Did anyone who sent their package by UPS/FedEx notice this as well?

We sent ours with FEDEX and the proof of delivery showed " signed by XXX"
