So the Belize Embassy has received my file, they issued me an Emergency visa so I can go to the US on a repatriation flight with my US citizen son and once this virus dies down I'm supposed to return to Belize for my interview. 

Well the situation here has gotten pretty dire, civil unrest etc. So yes I'm okay with leaving here for now and returning for the interview when things settle down. I'll keep you all updated when I do return for the interview. Thanks for all your help Greenbaum! 

I don't know if this information will be useful to any of you but my child is a US citizen and since they are repatriating all US citizens and their non-US family members from Belize , I am being given an Emergency Visa to accompany my child to the US. So if any of you have a child who is a US citizen you may want to look into this as an option. Just reach out to your local US Embassy.  Our Embassy  wasn't processing visas but since this is an Emergency situation they made an exception.

Go to ustraveldocs.gov and begin your interview scheduling. K-1's do their own scheduling.

PPL if you doubt me then do your own homework and research. I provide you with the answer and most times a link to the authority. If I don't know I will tell you. I am not in the guessing game as this is to important to each one of you to screw it up for you. I am not that kind of individual. If you still doubt my knowledge I have over 30,000 post which normally are answers to your questions. If I was in the habit of giving bad information then after that many posts do you really think that VJ would allow me to continue? There, I am don't with my rant.

Case received today, 03/09/2020 by NVC and case number assigned. Called 603-334-0888 around 11:30 MST and was on hold for about 30 minutes. Although the initial message when I called said that I would need the passport number, the operator only asked for my receipt number, my name and date of birth (I am the petitioner).
 
NOA2:  02/20/2020 (18 days from NOA2 to NVC receive)

How long is it taking approximately for them to receive the application and create a  case number?  
30 days to NVC and 1-2 weeks for case number to be assigned. Your mileage may vary.
 
Also I read you don't submit a affidavit of support until you're in the US  
Not true. You must submit your financials which is included but not limited to I-134 and the new DS-5040. Each embassy is different so wait till you get your P3 letter for the most up to date information for your embassy.

The DS-160 is required to be completed before the interview and most embassies are requiring you to complete as the confirmation number is used in the interview scheduling phase. Again, your mileage may vary.

I don't have one for Belize. If you get one please share it with me. This is what I have been able to uncover.  This is for an immigrant visa asking for a DS-260 so you will need to do the DS-160 in its place. Most of the other instructions are the same for both.

My girl's birthday is Feb 4th and I sent her flower to her office in the morning and home at night.  She made me promise not to spend more money by sending her flower on Valentine's day.
I reluctantly agreed.. and I was trying to figure out how else to express my adoration to her while she is still in Vietnam and I'm here in Texas..
 
Well the USCIS just helped me out in a HUGE way... they just texted me to check my  case...
