  1. That's not proof, someone who purposely did it could also make the same argument.
  2. I've seen posts where the DMV have signed people up for voting automatically when they didn't request it.
  3. They tried to allow non citizens to vote in NYC 🤦‍♂️ Not sure if that would've applied here though or just federal. New York City Can’t Allow Noncitizens to Vote, Top State Court Rules - The New York Times https://share.google/wmfUxEpa7CipjKSNc
  4. Forgot to mention, this was just updated yesterday.
  5. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/policy-manual-updates/20250829-VoterRegistrationGMC.pdf Some key points - green card holders who voted or attempted to vote at blocked from citizenship - deportation can be initiated for any green card holder who committed voter fraud or claimed us citizenship to receive a benefit. I imagine people who got accidentally registered will be freaking out.
  6. If you don't even have an interview date yet, this sounds like it's still months till you're a citizen, unless you're working remotely, this could be a problem.
  7. you can also upload unsolicited evidence
  8. I think part of the plan is to slow things down, so they could be sending people out there just for that.
  9. this news just broke yesterday, so I expect in the future we might have some lawyers comment on it to give some more guidance. You can upload additional evidence after so this shouldn't hold you up, it'll be a while before they look at everything.
  10. most of my neighbors keep to themselves, I don't know what they'd have to say unless like you said we've complained about them.
  11. that's true, the people stay within their communities, you'll find people here for decades and barely speak english they're also good at gaming the system, working off the books and then getting public assistance
  12. probably just harder if you're an introvert 😄 I agree though, the process if pretty easy, actually extremely easy compared to other countries. I often see a lot of entitlement to the processes here. The downside is that this can increase processing time.
  13. It's normal that it takes long unfortunately, and I don't think you can speed it up, that's why we just decided to wait, although the chances seem less than 50/50 for us now. The only upside being we won't have to wait for biometrics next time. I haven't tried, but I had heard that if you try to submit another application online it doesn't let you if there's one active. I think you're doing the right thing though. Here's the one video I saw about withdrawing. You can do the withdrawal through your account online though.

  16. I'm in the same boat, ultimately we decided to wait it out knowing there's a very good chance of a denial. A withdrawal request can take just as long, they princely don't see it until they get your case. I saw a video where a lawyer said it took 8 months, and that's with them correcting USCIS multiple times. I thought the site didn't let you file another one of the 1st one is still active.
  17. That's crazy, scheduled the day after biometrics
  18. it seems like that's the usual case unless there's some unique circumstance, but it's always best to bring them than kick yourself later if they end up asking for it.
  19. NY, don't know about Dallas, I went by timelines I saw on here, facebook, and reddit. In general immigration things seem to be getting slower because of administration changes as well
  20. We did biometrics last week and despite all the horrible reviews of the location, it went very smooth and the place was empty. And hoping even if we do end up with a denial, they'll just reuse this the 2nd time around.
  21. Is the checkbook outlined or filed in line the other steps? It can be confusing, outlined means you're still waiting for the interview to be scheduled but that's the next step to be completed. If it's filed in, try checking the documents tab.
  22. They had a new timeline feature that was clearer, but they removed it a week later.
