    NY, don't know about Dallas, I went by timelines I saw on here, facebook, and reddit. In general immigration things seem to be getting slower because of administration changes as well

    We did biometrics last week and despite all the horrible reviews of the location, it went very smooth and the place was empty. And hoping even if we do end up with a denial, they'll just reuse this the 2nd time around.

    Is the checkbook outlined or filed in line the other steps? It can be confusing, outlined means you're still waiting for the interview to be scheduled but that's the next step to be completed. If it's filed in, try checking the documents tab.

    entered in May 22 but didn't start living together until July 22 so June 2nd is within 90 days before 3 years My only worry is, the wait time is so long for the interview and we'd be doing it twice. Is a denial worse than a withdraw? Do you know if there's a guide for withdrawl?

    I just realized I screwed up and did 90 days before that date 🤦‍♂️ I'm assuming there's not much we can do but get denied at the interview and immediately file again?

    Maybe I missed something, if they are living in marital union since the resident date, why can't they file early?

    Well other than waiting for the biometrics notice, looks like we should keep ourselves occupied. The service center is currently processing cases from July 2024 🫠

    First Post! Hopefully I won't be alone here Submitted online and received receipt June 3rd. Wanted to submit June 2nd but the updated drivers for my scanner are buggy and set me back. Waiting for biometrics notice which people seem to be getting anywhere from 1-3 days. 3 year rule, 90 days early. Green card date is actually months earlier, but due to some long trips after entry, we didn't want to risk anything, so followed the advice of OldUser and waited.

    A green card is for the purpose of immigrating and living, establishing residency, in the US. From the story it sounds like they intend to use it as a tourist visa. Are you aware of the rules around time spent outside of the country that could also affect you after receiving a green card?

    For example, this person just had their interview, and they only waited 4 months to be scheduled. I'm not putting my hopes on that though.

    I had seen some timelines go faster, so I was hoping, but I know it all varies and I'm in a highly populated area. Was hoping to get in before years end. Well we'll see what happens.

    Thanks, that's a relief, We don't have as much as we thought we did, and most of the beneficiary stuff doesn't even have dates/details

    DMV is per state, they're not all related, they're not even called DMV in every state. So experience will vary

    We got denied a tourist visa, but had no problem with CR1/IR1. They country you're from can also make things complicated.

    This is why I got apostile documents when getting married, someone argued it wasn't necessary, and usually isn't, but for cases like these, it was little work when I had the opportunity, in relation to if an issue like this had arisen and I had to figure out how to get one.

    USCIS has paused doing this, so you'll need to go to an office in person for now.
