    Hi y'all,

I have a ready for interview since May 14. Are there other people who have not had interview and filed in June, 2022.

    Thanks!

    I'm still waiting, too. 👀

I have no idea since when (or if?) I'm ready for interview, though, since my case hasn't been updated online at all since they received it. It wasn't even updated after I did the biometrics. So I'll just keep waiting, I guess...

Hello anyone in chicago have any updates? I had interview today and it went well just wondering how long until case updates?

Can you tell us more about what the interview was like? What did they ask?

Also, when did you send in your AOS application?

I tried looking at your timeline, but it says you had you interview in 2014 so I don't think it's correct? 😅

  3. We applied for AOS in June 2021. I know that it can take longer to have your interview scheduled. The reason why I'm wondering about this is because I'm subscribed to e-mails about timelines similar to my own and have seen a few others belonging to my field office (Chicago) that either applied later than me or had their biometrics taken later than me that have had interviews scheduled. This makes me wonder a little bit about why mine is taking longer and why that could be. I have the EAD combo card already, so I'm not feeling stressed or worried about waiting in itself, just that others within the same field office have been scheduled and not me. Would that be a reason to be worried? Is this common? 😇

Hi all!! Interview was scheduled on 2/8/22 and it's for 3/15/22!! 😁

    FO: Chicago

    PD: 6/21/22

    EAD Approved: 1/7/22

    Interview Scheduled: 2/8/22

    Interview Date: 3/15/22

    @stuckonyou any update?!

No update about the interview so far. But the online status for my I-485 application hasn't been updated at all since they received the payment, so I might just get the letter in the mail one of these days without seeing it online first. That happened to my friend in California recently, so... 😅

I'd love to get the interview "over with", but at the same time I'm nervous about it so a part of me doesn't mind waiting a bit either. I'll probably laugh at my nervousness afterwards, though, and be glad it's over and done with. 😀 I was so nervous for the K1 interview, too, and there really was nothing to be nervous about at all. I guess it just feels like such a big deal.

  5. When you get the EAD and have ticked the box that you want an SSN in that application they will get that for you, but if you get your green card first you have to apply for it yourself. That's how I've understood it.

But with that said I'm still waiting for the SSN. I've had the EAD card for almost three weeks now. So I was wondering if anyone on here knows about how long it takes if you live in Chicago? 😇

@stuckonyou let me know when you do! I spoke with a live agent yesterday, and they told me that we were put in the interview queue on 10/4/21. You should ask them and find out!

Yeah, I guess I just feel nervous to call them and although I'd probably get some information like you did it still wouldn't make anything faster either way. Or I don't think it would at least. 😅

Which location does it say is working on your case?

    Mine says National Benefits Center.

We had our interview yesterday and got approved.

We were asked only basic questions confirming our name and address, and the security questions from the I-485. The only questions asked about our relationship was how we met, when was the last trip prior to the move and how many times we've visited each other in the past. The marriage certificate was requested in person.

    This is our timeline:

    June 23 - package sent

    Aug 18 - RFE date

    Aug 24 - biometrics

Oct 15 - RFE package sent by USPS priority mail with tracking

Nov 1 - notice that they got our package

    Nov 2 - interview scheduled

Nov 8 - letter received with the interview date

Our field office is San Fernando CA.

Our EAD/AP was not approved prior to us getting the interview scheduled.

    Good luck to everyone!

    Thank you for sharing! ❤️

With the security questions, they didn't go through ALL of them, though, right? Because that would have taken forever? 😅

I am curious as to how they will be handling the new covid vaccination requirement. I think they will not demand it of those that had medicals before this month, but with the USCIS you never know.

I'm wondering about this, too. I'm not vaccinated and I'm not sure yet if I'll get it or not due to worries about potential side effects (it might very well just be me being paranoid, but that's where I'm at right now). If I need to get the vaccine in order to get the green card I plan on doing so, but so far I haven't heard anything that this will be demanded since I already had my medical done and have the DS-3025...

Let’s stay on topic. I am a huge fan of Pope Francis and five years ago actually traveled to the Vatican to enjoy his church service however the Catholic Church historically has been more corrupt and anti science than the worst evangelical we have. You may want to research that. Finally it is debatable whether the Pope and Catholic Church follows the Bible.

Let’s not go down that road because there’s a lot of live ammunition to direct at the Catholic Church. I am not an evangelical however we shouldn’t stereotype, there are millions of vaccinated evangelicals etc.

    Well said. ❤️

I'm an evangelical, and I haven't gotten the Covid vaccine yet. Not due to any religious concerns, though, but because I'm worried about possible side effects of the vaccine. It might very well be me being paranoid about it all, and I'm still considering getting the vaccine since Covid is a very real thing. But that's where I'm at. Just speaking of stereotypes. Just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean that's the reason I'm still not vaccinated.

Feel free to join this WhatsApp group too @stuckonyouhttps://chat.whatsapp.com/CsklpVjVKkVGUyceTGNk6O

What kind of group is it? For people that filed AOS in June? For people that will have their interview in Chicago? Something else? ☺️

Also, if I were to join it would that mean that everyone in the group would automatically have my phone number since it's on WhatsApp? 😶

@stuckonyou We're in Chicago and my husband's status changed to "Ready to be Scheduled for Interview" on August 16th, and we're still waiting to receive the interview notice. We're hoping that we receive the notice by December. 🙏

I looked at your timeline, and our dates for when we filed and did the biometrics are really close together so I'll be following any updates you make to the timeline. ☺️

  12. I was wondering if there's a list or other information on which field offices tend to be fast and which ones take a little more time in general. I'm just curious after reading in a thread that someone got their green card after about three months due to the field office being a fast one. 😇 I know from before that it matters where in the country you live when it comes to how fast that field office is in general. So this peaked my curiosity and I was wondering about it.

    They who?

The only reason for getting vaccines in the US for AOS is if you denied getting vaccinated in your home country and the doctor marked: Immigrant elected not to get vaccinated.

What matter are the vaccines that were required at the time of the medical, so if something was not available, the doctor should've gave you a waiver and marked the form as complete. And that's all you need.

Is this also true concerning the new Covid vaccine requirements from October 1st or is that one different?

Hey guys. I just checked my case status and it says our interview has been scheduled but it does not mention the date.

Is there any way I can call and speak with a live agent that will tell me the date? We are waiting for the letter in the mail but anxious to know the interview date, lol.

I just looked at your timeline and wanted to ask if you expedited your case (if that's even possible)?

I've seen someone else that also got their interview within only a few months of filing and was wondering about that. Is this largely due to what state you live in or something like that?

  15. My case status on the USCIS website has always been the same. It says that on June 24th they received the fingerprint fee even though I've now done the biometrics almost two months ago. A friend told me that her status was updated both when she got the biometrics appointment and then again afterwards.

Is this something to be concerned about?

Also, my case number starts with MSC. I'm not entirely sure what that means. I live in Chicago, so maybe something about the local Chicago office?
