  1. Is the U.S. Embassy dashboard the only way to schedule a visa packet drop off? Frustrating!  Passed her medical, just attempting to make this dashboard operable. Some of the sites listed are not taking visa packet drop offs. Can't login. Click on "get a new password" Nothing comes to my email for a new PW. When I COULD log in.....I clicked on delivery drop off and it kept going to "SCAN YOUR PASSPORT" which she did. Is there any way to schedule a drop off point without this dashboard?  When I call the numbers listed.....no one answers.

  2. Thank you everyone who has answered my questions recently. I try to find the answers before I get here, but somettimes it is like crawling in cement. On my dashboard there is a list of 2Go sites. TWENTY NINE of them.

    https://express.2go.com.ph/locator.asp?Region=NCR&Province=Metro%20Manila&TownCity=Manila.

Which one is closest to the USEM? MY wife is at the Bayview Park Hotel so anything close to the USEM is good enough.

Someone mentioned Ermita. But is that a zone or a street? Several Ermitas on this list. Not familiar with how they label street addresses here.

    Thank you very much.

MOA has had a ton of construction/refurbishing on the 2nd level for a long time and I believe 2go was in one of these areas. It may still be closed. It used to be in the wing of hypermart.

The 2go in ermita on del Pilar is close to the embassy.

I see one on Ermita!  I believe Ermita is where or close to St. Lukes medical where she got her exam.  Thank you

So here I go again. My wife has read on several blogs that most applicants receive their visa drop off from 2go at the Mall of Asia. but>>>>the Mall of Asia address is 1300 Pasay in Manila and 2Go has TWENTY NINE different drop off sites and none of them say Pasay in them or even Mall of Asia. She is at the BayView near the Embassy. Has anyone had experience  with a 2Go drop off near the U.S. Embassy?

    Thank you very much.

Everything I Googled was from 2012 for 2go at Mall of Asia so it once was a drop off. I just do not see it on the list of 29 now. Thank you.

it is a total of about 51-52 minutes from getting on the plane to getting off the plane. It really is 37 minutes of flight time. It is only 173 air miles from Cauayan to Manila. 250 by car. And if you have ever taken that national highway, you will know why it takes 9.5 to 11 hours. It is slow, muddy at times, landslides at times, curvy, steep and just plain mean. IT IS GORGEOUS SCENERY THOUGH.

I never want to take a bus again unless my life depends on it. We went Florida Bus the first few times before we became savvy and it was terrifying. Children playing RIGHT NEXT to the road and this bus hauls ### 100 KMH right through all these little hamlets. I know we ran over several chickens. Maybe a dog. The bigger unit rules in Phil. If you are in a motorcycle taxi you risk your life from buses and other larger vehicles. I believe Florida Bus was involved in a major fatality accident around Bontoc a few years back and was heavily penalized. Something about going over a cliff.

The flight has to be alot longer than 37 minutes.  We ran out of fuel last trip coming from Davao and circling NAIA so long we had to land at Clark and refuel.  Took almost 20 minutes from Clark to NAIA air time and that was flying low.

You're going through nearly the same thing we are right now. How did you guys arrange your wife's trip to Manila? My wife left the city back around the end of July and hasn't been back despite my bugging for her to complete her interview and come to the states.

Did you need any travel authority before she went there? My wife wants to fly in and we are wondering what else to have aside from the embassy and medical exam appointments.

She needed a paper from her barangay boss and a letter from the mayor of Cabatuan. She then had to show these at the airport in Cauayan City to purchase a ticket through Cebu/Pacific.. A newer A320 and it only takes 37 minutes to get to Manila. 10.5 hours by car or 15 by bus. I always send her 2-3 days early in case the plane can't fly and she needs a  bus or private driver/car.

I am pretty familiar with the area.  I can understand being bored.

There is a Robinson Mall fairly close, is that open?

I believe next to her hotel there is a JCO donuts, which is very good.  And there is a Papa Johns pizza super close, if they are open they will deliver to your hotel for like 50 peso, and the pizza if you get the right ingredients taste just like a pizza in the USA.

Thanx for the info! I will let her know. I know the Starbux next door has been closed for the last couple of days but was initially open when she arrived.

    That suxs to reschedule it.

How much she having to pay per day?

Some hotels in Ermita area can be fairly expensive even by US Standards.

I worked it online for 2 hours to try to get a deal. I finally settled with Agoda AGAIN for $50 per night including taxes for 10 days.it is usually $77 as we have stayed there for years. I will rebook for the next 17 days probably tomorrow. As mentioned before....they bring food to her door. Breakfast was included. The lunches are about $25 total for both of them and they usually have enough left over for dinner. They got permission to go to the 7/11 today from hotel staff and loaded up on snacks/drinks etc.Everyone outside is masked, most with shields and the only ones that are not are the beggar children. All venues of food in the hotel are CLOSED except off the menu and is delivered as I mentioned.

RapidVisa has an office just a block away on the hotel side(I think) so she will be prepping there for the interview. She is bored to death but the WI-FI is excellent. The business center at the Bayview is closed but the hotel will take scans if needed. We are very thankful for what she is able to do and that we are finally getting closer.

I was going to add, from Isabela they were having vans running from that area to Manila (practicing social distancing) so only about half full, but prices are higher.  Also, there may be buses but not sure on that.  Vans definitely were running a few weeks ago.  Your fiance should know where the vans stop when passing through that area and she should go there a few days before and ask.  Also, you may want to consider coming down 2 nights early or arriving in the morning of the day before the medical.  This will provide a buffer for any hiccups along the way.

I am late to this thread but my wife and I have traveled from Isabela to Manila by private car,bus and plane out of Cauyan City. MUCH,much cheaper by plane and only 37 minutes compared to 15 hours by bus and 10 hours by private car. We always had a backup plan of course if the plane couldn't fly.

from my understanding of readin it, it would seem they are saying that the Foreign Spouse even in the US, must attempt to get a Philippines visa via the Philippines Consulate in the US BUT the PH is not issuing Visa's to any foreigners.

It seems the PH Gov. has taken a turn recently to find ways to bar entry, do lockdowns and such as they would like but doing things as this in such a way they it does not carry the titles. Basically being bureaucratic @&$% Bags. Good Job PH Gov. 👎 Because if the world needs one thing more than the Incompetent joke of leaderships and fear mongers, it's definitely more bureaucratic D-bags, right?

I like EVERYONE else spend thousands when we are there. What the hell are they doing?

  14. That is a LONG time to be basically quarantined when she is negative. They take her name on a ledger each time she goes out........even to her medical exam which she passed...yeaaa.

And they highly discourage her to never leave the hotel. Her interview was scheduled for Oct. 7 and just received a notice from the embassy it is now the 14th.

And then when she goes back to her province she has to quarantine 14 days AGAIN,not in her home, but in a local quarantine facility. These spouses all over the world are going through a LOT.

    At least in the Philippines.

  15. Been trying www.slec.gov.ph

Been trying for a few days now.

She will have to fight the crowd as well as all the spouses without an appointment.

What a hassle in a limited time frame to get a spouse from a few hundred miles away to Manila in time for all these appointments. I can't EVEN imagine a spouse coming from down south like in Mindanao.

Learned a few things over the years traveling>>>>>$250 for a private car with driver from Isabela Province to MNL and 10.5 hours.  $48 by bus and 16 hours.  And....$58 each to fly on a new Airbus A320 in 37 minutes.

51 minutes total time with 7 minutes sitting on the tarmac each time coming and going.

I did find the latest info as of Sept. 15. How is the "quarantine hotel" they require one to stay at?   Lots of questions. I haven't seen here as late many if at all being in Manila for their spouses interview.

Depending on the airline of course, was the plane social distanced with mandatory empty seats on your way back to your home country with your wife? Was it packed? Was it almost empty?

All over the place on info. Everything almost brings me to a May 11th bulletin where I have to be quarantined 14 days. One other states 2-5 days awaiting results. Anyone have any info on this? Know anyone who has gone through this?

  18. My wife is filling out a form for her CENOMAR and it asks when was the NOA2.

Ya know....I do not recall seeing a form that said "NOA2". All forms were accepted at the NVC on Dec. 5,2019 as stated on their portal. BUT...it took TWO months for NVC  to accept a legible birth certificate after NUMEROUS print shops were tested for a better one.Birth certificate accepted Feb 11,2020. Then it sat at NVC until our notice of interview on Oct 7th. These women over 45 ,their BCs aren't usually as legible as the newer ones.

So my question is,was this my NOA2 on Dec 5,2019 or Feb 11, 2020? Or was it another document I received?

Yes she can the leave the Philippines with a visa.

Thank you for your immediate answer. I knew she could pre COVID,was wondering during COVID. I read so many conflicting reports it seems. We had actually given up hope and believed her interview would be after COVID abated a bit and were shocked last week when we were notified. Much more difficult for a woman hundreds of miles north to arrange transportation and such than if she lived in Manila. Oh well. Gotta do what we gotta do !! Thanks again.

Big oversight not to mention your marriage.   Spouses of Filipinos are eligible to apply for a visa.   Visas must be in advance,  no visas on arrival.   Philippine consulates should have information online

Quarantine requirements seems to change daily.   Have you checked the Philippine Department of Tourism,  Department of Health or possibly Bureau of immigration websites for latest information?

There was an American YouTuber who went from one province to another and spent 14 days in quarantine.  LGUs have a lot of say about what quarantine requirements are.

It was a big oversight not to mention I was married. AM RUSTY. Thanks for the information.
