We are waiting for them to reschedule our own spousal visa interview. We will keep calling and emailing. Is there anything else we can do?
No don’t wait. You have to contact them via this email.

Thanks for the information . Same texas and same home country of Nigeria. That means I will likely get approval before the end of the year.
By God's grace. Once it passes 60 days make sure to call USCIS. To let them know it outside processing time, I did that and three days later I was approved.

Wow this means that people like us that had our DQ in August our turn is still far.😀😀
You never know how they are rescheduling tbh. Look at him, this was his first schedule for interview and he was DQ'ed in March. You would think they would be scheduling cancelled interviews first. Have faith!

Was your interview cancelled? if so, when was your interview suppose to be? If not, when were you DQ'ed?

Hello everyone. please a question to all Nigerians who's married to a USC and filling for CR1 Visa. I recently heard that I'll need my original birth certificate when my Visa gets to the NVC stage and also the interview stage. I lost my Original Birth Certificate 2 years ago and did the Attestation of birth here in Lagos from the NPC and was told that's the only one I can get and NOT Birth Certificate. My question is will I still have a problem since I do not have the original birth Certificate but Only the Attestation of birth or is there a possible way I can get or retrieve birth certificate in lagos and not just attestation of birth Letter bcus a fried said when it got to her NVC stage, she was told to upload her Original birth Certificate and Not Attestation of birth. Can anybody please confirm this for me or advice. Thanks
I just did this with the NVC. Make sure you upload the attestation AND affidavit declaration of age. You need BOTH documents. I only uploaded the attestation and waiting for three weeks and heard nothing. Then I uploaded the declaration of age.. the same day they accepted both documents and I was DQ'ed.

Hey,
Just wanted to share an interesting experience with my case and the NVC. My husband's birth certificate was rejected, so we needed an attestation of birth. On June 23rd we uploaded the attestation. By July 8th we still have not heard anything back. Which I thought was weird because when we uploaded all of our documents, the next day everything thing was accepted, except the birth certificate. So I did some research and it turned out you need the attestation AND affidavit declaration of age. We quickly uploaded that Friday July 10th at 10 am. By noon, they accepted it and we were DQ. I thought this was weird, its either perfect timing or when we submitted it alerted the agent and they went to our file? Anyways, I thought I would share just in case anyone is going through a similar situation. Wish y'all the best, cant wait for the embassies to re-open!

My last touch date was May 19 . And yes they changed from rfe received to actively being reviewed . And when I called they said I have to wait 30 days from when USCIS sent me the email about the normal processing time and call back and they can send another processing time Inquiry .
I just got approved! So you time is definitely coming very soon! Keep holding faith, I know its really hard.. but it is coming!

I am in the same situation after my 60 days I called and they sent an outside of normal processing time email now it says my case is with an adjudicating officer . And I’m on day 76 after sending my rfe back in March . I Completely understand and I don’t know what to do either mine is at TSC . Hopefully this is the last 30 days and I get a response.
Did they change your status from rfe received to case being actively reviewed? Also when was the last touch date? I didn't even get an email. This really sucks...

Hello Everyone,
I filed in August. Unfortunately receive an RFE March 17 and responded April 7th. Day 62 and still haven’t received anything. The application was in Texas but when I called the service rep mention Vermont so I’m not sure if it got transferred. I sent in a request because it is outside normal processing time and the status changed from rfe recieved to we are actively working on your case. Does that mean Anything?
I’m getting extremely discourage. I know someone who sent in their application in January and was approved in May, also TSC AND received their NVC email the next day😩
Questions - how can you know if your case is “touched” or not?
also those who received their NVC email the next day did you file an online petition or paper? Does it make a difference?
I’m feeling really discouraged at this point😩

DQ’ed doesn’t mean disqualified. It means documentarily qualified. Meaning you completed the NVC stage and waiting for the NVC to send your case to the embassy.
