So you’re saying if I submitted my citizenship and passport copy my husband would have to take the original with him to interview??
how is that possible?
anyone who has their interview done can please explain what to take to interview please
i would really appreciate your help
I haven't had our interview yet, but what I know is all original documents of the applicant not the sponsor. Copies of anything related to sponsor. Only affidavit of support they want the original signature of sponsor. Someone Correct if I'm wrong.

I am now going to have the Jeopardy music stuck in my head for the rest of this process 😂 Hopefully you'll hear something soon!
The second our case goes past the date they are processing, I am calling them every single day until we get reviewed. We got stuck at USCIS for an additional 3 months because of a bug in their system, no way I'm letting that happen again.
I will do the same! When I called few days back she said as long as you haven't missed the date that's on the website, then you need to wait. If you miss it, then call us back.. So calling it is!

Not a lot of case complete this week huh? Oct 23rd is the latest dq update (other than the random ones that are from Nov 11th for example)

Acceptence of the documents doesn't mean. You're DQ'd.
Someone still has to review it.
sorry to interfere, what do you mean they arent the same? ive been waiting almost 6 weeks now for them to check 2 documents i uploaded (3rd attempt). so im waiting patiently, thinking ill be getting a DQ email next..but now im understanding they have to approve these two documents first..then i wait AGAIN for the DQ? or is there a chance for them to DQ right away?

I submitted my documents to NVC on 4th November, didn't get back from them so far. NVC normally takes 4-6 weeks to review the documents. Let's hope for the best to come in this week and keep update.
I submitted my documents Nov 4th as well.. No DQ email yet

Hi
I need your advice
My Egyptian father case in the national Visa Center . they accepted all the documents and applications except for his birth certificate , marriage certificate. they send me a message saying that I have to replace this documents with an acceptable documents from the correct issuing authority.
I submitted all those documents from the correct issuing authority plus the translation from local translator in Egypt for each document . what the NVC means by I have to get the documents from the correct issuing authority, again this is the correct documents from the correct issuing Authority, what should I do ? Anyone has an experience to tell me what to do ?? Im so desperate
Hey there. I'm not an expert, but my husband's birth certificate was rejected for the same reason.. What I know is that there's a new version of both the marriage and birth certificate in Egypt. They are bilingual certificates that come out from the Al abesseya governmental building only. That's all I know. And that's the version nvc wants

Al-Abbaseya is a very famous building to get any civil documents you need. The easiest way to go there is to take the subway to Al-Abbaseya. Go to this building then count 3 or 4 buildings you will find an orange building, tell them that you need the translation section, go to the 3rd floor. All you need is the national ID and the mother's name exactly as in her passport. It costs 150 EGP and you will get it. It's one document in Arabic and English..
The same for the new marriage certificate, but for the marriage certificate they need the Arabic marriage certificate, your names in English and your mothers names in English.
If you want to notarize them from the foreign affairs you should go to the main building there to the officer to sign and stamp onn the back then you can notarize them..
Guess what Nody. They rejected both he BC and Police Clearance for my husband. Now we are booking for him to travel to Egypt next week to get these two documents... We are going to book 5 days, that's enough right!? Thanks for your support.

You can take it in the same time
but my thoughts to you don’t wait because u will waste your time if you have someone in Egypt but you need someone from your family he can scan and send it by the email
Issue is, the other document that they rejected is the police clearance, we got it from the Egyptian embassy in dubai, he got his finger prints taken here then we shipped it to Egypt to get the no conviction and the stamps. They rejected that one the first time too but it was a horrible scan. So I will wait for both, that way we know what he needs to still obtain. Maybe they reject that one too, that way he needs to get them both. Thanks for the tips and good luck to you!

The one that comes from elabasseya.
That’s new rule
Yes I figured. I'll just ait for the next rejection then my husband has to fly to Egypt to get it done. You know how long it takes to come out?

They accepted when I brought the translated certification after 7 times refusing
I'm sorry, I just want to understand, they accepted the original Arabic with translation, or the one that comes bilingual, English and Arabic from abasseya? The new one.

They refused My marriage certificate and birth certificate because of this translated one from elabassya . they didn't give me the reason of why they refuse it so i resent it so many times about 7 times i think and they refused without saying the real reason
U can get this certificates from elabassya tell them i need the translated certificates for immigration
What did they end up accepting?

The birth certificate has to be both the original (in arabic) and then uploaded with it a translated copy that is stamped by an official. The police clearance papers can get rejected for a number of reasons, but make sure that each corner of the papers are visible when scanning. My husband had to take out the staples and scan front and back in order for them to finally accept it! They must include a translation and the original from the ministry of interior and stamped. The ministry of interior will provide a translated form if you tell them the purpose is for the American embassy.
Are you sure? It doesn't have to be this new bilingual one? My scan was horrible, I really gotta admit that. I reuploaded it once more and I will wait 2 weeks to see what happens. Was your husband's accepted recently?
