  5. you never HAVE TO change your last name in US/ its not even required for naturalization process If u decide to do during naturalization , u can and u are free to travel on green card till u surrender it at oath ceremony i would make sure the biometrics is done or they say USCIS will reuse the ones on file , then travel as needed till interview is scheduled

  8. country of the immigrant is important as to scheduling the inrerview after USCIS approves documents and NVC assigns the embassy case # you can check your country by hitting the word portal above and reading embassy reviews and other posts but creating a timeline and posting a flag would help
  9. What happens if you surrender a whole life insurance policy? Surrendering a whole life insurance policy will end your coverage. If your policy has a cash value, you'll be able to receive that amount after you pay any surrender fees. It's best to check your insurer's surrender fee schedule before canceling your policy.Aug 17, 2023
  10. OP can go to USCIS site and ask questions on the Facebook site are answered faster than Emma or trying to call any phone number they list it appears USCIS and NVC do not accept any paypail account the methods of acceped payments are listed OP can try using paypail with checking and routing # but if NVC does not accept , it ties up the cash
  11. NO If u go to USCIS webpage on Facebook and search paying fees with paypail this comes up https://www.facebook.com/profile/100064894086847/search/?q=paypail to pay fees U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services nrtdooSspe2603 611a2l5tm08aa0mghr1fhly6Jl0llfaunca50ac22i726 · USCIS and our officials will never ask you to transfer money to an individual. We do not accept Western Union, MoneyGram, PayPal, or gift cards as payment for fees.
  12. the tourist visa will be denied as you have a current immigrant petition in place tourist visas often get denied when the person has immigrant intent parents are USC and u have a pending F4 u say u have a valid B1/B2 i would think CBP will revoke the tourist visa and return u to Nepal at POE
  13. Eight years ago was prior to 2020 pandemic / things are very different now even the list of drs that do medicals has changed in this timeframe you don't have to live a year with him to prove bona fida marriage / for USCIS requirements are to have met in last 2 years to have a valid marriage certificate and to consummate the marriage residency for NVC requirements US income to meet 125% of poverty level income and file US taxes and have a US residency living a year in foreign country with new spouse is not a requirement and most can only spend a few weeks of vacation time with new spouse
  14. I wouldn't do it either but by Plane u can as it is not considered an international flight unless it lands in another country but by cruise ship , NO , as that travels thru international waters even if the only stiop(s) are St Thomas and/ or Puerto Rico
  15. Divorce from the 1st Nigerian wife should go thru US courts as there are too many fake "divorce and other documents" submitted from Nigeria the new petition he creates will show how and when u met, this will predate his divorce so expect a long AP after interview for additional security checks /no matter where u interview
  16. although it is allowed, questions the ability of sponsor to care for the immigrant And i am surprised that Casa approved the K1 If i was the officer who reviewed a I 912 request, i would send a RFE asking "who pays her room and board? Who pays for her health care? what plans did u make for the care before she came to the US? When will u gradutate" it was important to know all that is involved in the K1 proceedure and u have prepared for the AOS
  17. pay the fee at any time before u leave spain or arrive in US i paid before i left Morocco as the green card is not produced till fee is paid Congratulations on your visa site to pay is here https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees/uscis-immigrant-fee
  18. How do u prove the capital gains to IRS? 1 of my investments sends a 1099 the other 3 i have to include end of the year statement showing years' movements and interest(s) Do u do schedule D on the 1040 for capital gains and then transfer to 1040 line 13? are they long term or short term ? Capital gains and losses are classified as long-term or short term. If you hold the asset for more than one year, your capital gain or loss is long-term. If you hold the asset one year or less, your capital gain or loss is short-term. To figure the holding period, begin counting on the day after you received the property and include the day you disposed of the property
  19. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-912instr.pdf You, the USC, are not the applicant of the I 485 your new spouse is The principal applicant is usually the individual named as the beneficiary of an immigrant petition or who is otherwise qualified to adjust status Is your spouse already getting "means tested benefits"?
  20. the action would be that your documents have been fed into the computer system now, u just wait till an officer opens the case and starts a real review (6 to 12 months from now) further updates (if u get any) may also say actively reviewed this happens when an officer reviews paperwork to ensure all documents are there, all are signed properly and if anything is missing an RFE is sent (RFE is really nothing to worry about ) when officer gets any document(s) the case is actively reviewed again to download new document as the computer generates the "actively reviewed" notice
  21. Understand also that after creating the account the site may say No appointments available at this time and u will have to check monthly or daily or weekly to find an open in a little less than 2 years and just look for a day when there are 2 slots open and choose that day 2 application 2 separate interviews but can happen on same day if u schedule it that way
  22. go to the webpage i gave u and make your account that is where the schedule interviews and set up the 2 interviews same day even if u have to choose a date further back then u would like follow the bogata instructions
  23. you asked the following and i answered it does anyone know does anyone know how or if i can schedule their appointments together in Bogota or did i screw myself by filing and paying the fees before finding the answer to my question?
  24. expand out the reply it tells u exactly how to schedule the interview from instructions on the bogata webpage
  25. I read the post and by answered by telling u the wait time should give u an idea of how long u will wait to see schedule for interview which would be in 2026 I doubt tourist visa schedule is even out for the entire year of 2024 aome embassies only show the next 2 months to schedule B1/B2 but checking the Bogata webpage gives u the instructions https://co.usembassy.gov/visas/important-visa-information/ Once you make a cash payment, it can take up to 3 business days for it to register in this system, at which time you can schedule a Consular Section appointment. You may use the cash payment slip for only one transaction.
