  1. Hi all, I got married this Feb and want to petition for my wife who is in the UAE. I got my GC last year. I am filling her paperwork and have come across some questions that need some answers. Would very much appreciate your help. Do I send the I-130 and I-130a to Pheonix or Chicago as Washington applies to both? Is there a difference then which is better? Should I submit along with all the evidence and payment? How do I send the fee? Is it via post/mail? Also, how much time will this take? Please let me know. Thanks and regards everyone. Peace!
  2. Hi everyone! Newbie here! I badly need your help, advices and suggestions. My fiancé in US received NOA2 last february then I’m just waiting for the NVC, while waiting for it he said I should process other requirements like Police Clearance. I am currently here in the Philippines, I lived and work in dubai for 11months and decided to go home last June 2018 because we are already engaged and planning to go there so I left my dubai life, now im here in the Philippines again for 9months already. Here’s my question guys, do I still need to get a Police Clearance in dubai since I stayed there for more than 6months and pass it as a requirment to US Embassy? i’ve read some topics here re: this but just to be sure. Thank you in advance! ❤️
  3. Hi! I'm quite confused with how I should proceed with booking the visa appointment at the Abu Dhabi embassy. The Abu Dhabi website (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ae/iv) has the following option: I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment. This is followed by some forms and a payment of $265. I have not received any such letter yet. However, my case status on CEAC (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx) has changed to READY 4 days ago. Dates from the CEAC site: Case Created: 20-Nov-2018 Case Last Updated: 13-Dec-2018 Should I keep waiting for a letter (packet 3?) from the embassy or can I go ahead and schedule an appointment on the website. Another concern of mine is that at no point in the K1 application did I ever provide my own email address as it was never asked. The DS-160 application was the only place I provided my own email. My petitioner was contacted via email when the I-129F was approved and transferred to NVC, but not me directly. Will packet 3 be emailed to the petitioner as well? Also, does the embassy physically mail any documents to the beneficiary (me) or is it email only now?
  4. Hi guys! I am currently living in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for more than 6 years now. I lived in the Philippines before moving here in Abu Dhabi. Me and my fiance who lives in Ohio are almost done with our K1 packet and we are planning to submit the petition first week of December this year. I just have few questions, maybe you guys can help us: 1.) Do I need to submit a Police Clearance or Certificate of Good Conduct from the Philippines and here in UAE together with our K1 packet? 2.) Do I need to submit a Certificate of No Marriage together with the K1 packet? 2.) My fiance had a minor misdemeanor and went to court last 2009 and he was just fined by the judge, he didn't go to jail, should we mention that on the I-129F Form? He got already a clearance from the court regarding the incident and they stated there that he didn't go to jail. Thank you in advance! We really need the advice we can get about these questions. A friend of mine strongly advised us to hire a lawyer just like what they did but we were hesitant because we'd rather do it ourselves and save the money. This friend of mine and her fiance filed the petition July 2018 and they received an RFE last week.
  5. Hi all! Is there anyone here whose case got ready first week of November and waiting for Packet 3 until now? I've been waiting for 21 days now.
  6. Details: Myself, American born and raised. Moved to UAE in 2012 to get married, stayed here for 6 years without going back home (husband denied B2 visa for no ties to UAE). No work history here, no tax records, virtually no maintenance of traditional U.S domicile but I didn't have UAE domicile either, temporary residence visa. 1 child born in 2015 in Dubai and given American citizenship at birth and received American Passport. Husband, Palestinian Refugee born and raised in Syria Damascus. Living and working in UAE for 10 years, has not visited Syria since 2011 (before the war). Palestinian Passport Issues: Lack of Domicile Travel Ban Resolves: I ended up gathering a decent amount of domicile worthy evidence but they didn't look at most of our paperwork for the interview. Travel Ban didn't apply to Palestinians born and raised in Syria after all. Questions asked at interview: Who is petitioning you? : My Wife Does your wife work? : No What do you do for work? What is that? : Group Management (goes into detail... * they're impressed) When was the last time you went to Syria? : 2011 How long were you in the Army and what did you do there? : 1 year 8 months, I was an accountant How many years have you been here? : 10 years Have you lived in another country? : Syria Have you gone to Israel? : No Has your wife gone home? : No Where did your wife live before she moved to UAE? : Los Angeles What do you have for domicile? : Child's School enrollment Rent contract and Plane Tickets for wife, child ,and myself hopefully CO then proceeds to ask for my husband's passport and tells him he will receive it in 2-3 days and my husband had to ask 3 times to make sure of what she said, he was handed a white slip and left. CEAC website changed from Processing to ISSUED today. * I think a huge factor in our case was that both of us lived away from our friends and families and didn't establish domicile in each other's county. Our main concern was my lack of domicile and they ended up not looking at 1 form or my declaration of intent to re establish domicile. Documents they looked at: Army Certificate Police Certificate Birth Certificate Marriage Certificate Duration of arrivial to departure: 2 hours 30 minutes November 29, 2017 - Hired a lawyer and started Petition. January 24, 2018 - Petition mailed to USCIS. January 26, 2018 - I-130 Received by USCIS. February 15, 2018 - Homeland Security check cashed. May 22, 2018 - Petition Approved by USCIS. June 26, 2018 - NVC - Request for documentation (needed different form of id) and payment. July 18, 2018 - NVC - Payment made. August 2, 2018 - NVC - Submit Documentation (website down 2 weeks). August 27, 2018 - NVC - Accepts all fees & forms, interview date pending. September 14, 2018 - NVC - Interview scheduled for October 28, 2018 October 28, 2018 - Abu Dhabi Embassy Immigration interview, CR-1 VISA APPROVED!
  7. Hi everyone! I just want to know how many of us are still waiting for the packet3? We filed for K1 visa and the approved petition was sent electronically to UAE last April 5 2018.
  8. Hi! Is it okay not to make separate intent to marry letters from petitioner and beneficiary? We just made it one piece of letter but contains both of our signature and it says that we are both legally able to marry each other and things like that. Thanks!
  9. For the beneficiaries residing in UAE, I just want to ask which address you used for the Form I-129F? Did you use your company or home address? I'm afraid not to receive mails in my flat/home address since we don't have P.O box. Thanks!
  10. On March 15th I was told by NVC that my packet for the k-1 visa had been sent to Abu Dhabi. Still haven't heard anything yet from the consulate there, and I wasn't able to update my fiancee's address. So if anything was sent to her, we don't have it. I've emailed the consulate, but haven't heard back yet after a week. Any advice for what to do? Calling doesn't help, because they say everything has to be through email. Also, my fiancee's place of work is good out of business. So she may lose her residency, they didn't pay any employees last month. And are holding the employees "hostage" to work for free or lose their residency. So if this happens and she doesn't find new work, will she have any trouble at the consulate of she comes in with a tourism visa?
  11. Skype is the primary method of communication between me and my spouse for voice conversation. However, it seems like Skype is no longer available in UAE. Do you guys know of any other service that is available in UAE (whatsapp, viber, imo, none of these allow voice conversation)
  12. Hello there, I'm currently residing here in Abu Dhabi, my Fiance and I have already applied for K-1 and our I-129F has been approved on November 28, 2017. As per instruction by the NVC, I will receive a notification or a mail on what to do next. I didn't receive one but my Fiance did on February 1, 2018 via his email. I was just wondering, Is it the same? Anyway we followed what is instructed there; I prepared all the needed documents, I already did my medical examination and I scheduled my interview appointment on April 3, 2018. So my interview appointment is already set, but until now I have not receive any mail/email/sms notification from the US Embassy here in Abu Dhabi, Will there be a problem? Thank you so much in advance.
