I am wondering what is going on with my husband's case. His has been stuck on "Oath Ceremony will be scheduled" for months since he interviewed in early March. We are an August 2019 filer.

Anyone on the same boat as us? We have tried calling the USCIS number but they just tell us to wait but others who are now interviewing are already getting their oath ceremony the same day. Something doesn't seem right.

Yeah something does not seem right. You should keep calling them and let them know people who are interviewing now are getting oath ceremonies before your husband. I interviewed on July 24 and my oath was on July 31. I know many people who interviewed at the Fairfax office and got oath scheduled the following week. Good luck

    You are lucky. Congrats!

TBH, I am nervous now. IS there something wrong with my case... and that's why my "case was submitted for quality review".

This is what they say in my case history on uscis  website.

They already approved you. It’s just their practice to sometimes ask a supervisor to take a look at your case if you were interviewed by a Junior officer. But it won’t change the decision. You are already approved and in line for the oath. Hope you get it soon.

I had my naturalization interview on July 17th. at USCIS Virginia - Washington Field Office.

My N400 was approved there and I am expecting when they gonna schedule my OATH.

It seems like with the last news about USCIS, it will take it more time for scheduling the Oath.

Hey. I had my interview on July 24 at Washington DC field office as well and the officer scheduled my oath in front of me for July 31 this Friday. He printed the oath notice and gave it to me before I left the office.

That's awesome and thanks for the update.

Honestly, with the USCIS furlough that's very likely going to happen at this point, I have no idea how many more months it will take for my interview to come.

I just saw in the news that the furlough is postponed to August 31 and they might get the bailout money by then. So no worries, I don’t think they will be a furlough even after August 31. They will find a solution with congress by then.

That's amazing! good for you! I hope to experience the same hehe How did you schedule your oath date? Did they give you your certificate of naturalization right there?

No. They don't do same day oath. The officer told me that the next available oath ceremony date is Next friday July 31. So I asked him to schedule me for that day. I will take my oath at 8:30 next Friday.

Fairfax, VA here.  Our original interview date was 3/24 which was cancelled due to covid-19.  We just received a new appointment letter which is scheduled for 7/9; however, it appears that only a lawyer is able to go in to the interview with an applicant for everyone's safety.  I, as a spouse, am not able to go with my wife???

Hey how are you? I hope your interview went well. Can you tell us how it was and if they are doing same day oath at the Washington/Fairfax field office. Thanks

@Sam90210 Yes! I see my account updated with the new appointment for July 24th. Do you know if they are doing Interview and Oath ceremony same day? A friend in Baltimore went through it and was done with Interview and Oath ceremony together.

I heard they are doing same day oath as well. I know someone with an interview tomorrow and I will ask him how it went. What time is your interview on the 24?

I just received my interview date in August and I am wondering if the furlough may actually affect this all. As I need to fly in and go through the 14 day quarantine period, I am really worried about going through a cancellation a few days prior with me sitting in the hotel room and waiting for the interview to take place. Has anyone heard more about which offices or which services are affected - or is everything affected across the board?

Congrats. Is this a rescheduled or new interview? What’s the date of your interview? I think the furlough will affect all field offices across the country. Let’s hope they will get the necessary funding from congress before August 3.
