    Hi All,

My I-765 status changed to "card being produced". I had my biometrics on 20th Oct. Just a data point for others who had bio last month and still waiting for EAD - it should hopefully be getting approved soon for you as well.

Aaaand just like that I was approved at the interview...such a nice lady who did it...didnt need to give any of the documents requested on the notice...all i gave her was a letter from my husbands new employer and his new Paystubs...other than that it was chit chat asking the questions we already answered on the aos form...im am soo soo happy. Best of luck to all of you.

Good morning everyone, we just got a USCIS mail today. As you might have read, I got a mail on Saturday for my AP biometrics appointment in Boston set for November 10. I have already given my biometrics in August(for i485 and i765) so this is a repeat notice.

Today's notice is for our interview. It's set for November 18 in Boston. We did not get any online update as has been the theme for a lot of us here.

Any tips are for the interview is as always appreciated! Thank you everyone and keep the spirits up. Feb filers are finally being remembered.

Just completed biometrics! Our notice was just for the I-485/I-765 (code 3) but while I was there I asked if they could do the I-131 as well. Thank goodness I did because, contrary to the tier 2 officer telling me I "wouldn't need biometrics for the I-131" (which we all know to be untrue), I did actually have a second appointment in the system for well into November. I was able to get the Code 3 for I-485/I-765 and Code 2 for I-131 all completed today.

One more step in the right direction! Now the wait continues ...

Never got one. I asked if they can apply my I485/I765 bio to my I131 and they said they can’t since I have no pending schedule for it so I have to come back. I got approved for a combo card, I didn’t have to come back for the I131.

Good news here! Thanks for the advice to contact our congressperson. They said they would contact USCIS on our behalf and, a week later, interview is now showed as scheduled. Receipt date of Feb. 28th and interview scheduled as of Sept. 28th.

    Hey everyone!

I guess today was my lucky day with a tier 2 agent. He scheduled a bio appt for me! It's on next month but at least I finally have a date! He can't send the notice through e-mail yet unless it's 5 days before the appt but I'm supposed to get it in 10 days on the mail. I guess it's about trying and trying until you get somebody nice. I hope this is true though bc if it's not I'll be really sad.

    Good luck everyone!

How do I wether the wait? A couple times I was thinking of a rope and a tree (I have circumstances that make it even harder to wait)... Then someone posted a Stephen King's quote: “Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”
My AOS case got approved without interview yesterday. Hope and pray, God will help you if you pray honestly

    Update!!!
My husband @osally1 did his biometrics on 09/01 and also had another scheduled on 09/02 but they allowed him to do both while he was there 🙏 . From start to finish it took about 8 mins for him. This was the Dallas South office. He had a job interview on 09/02--Got the job!!. Now it says that his EAD card is in the mail!!! Now he has to take his driving test on 09/04-- wish him luck🤞. This has been a very eventful week of getting things done!
P.S. His SSN was issued already on 08/11/2020

For those of you nearing an AOS (I-485) interview here are a few things I would like to share with you in case you are drawing blanks on what you will take to your interview. Although my interview was waived I was still prepared to attend so I am sharing what I was going to bring to my interview. Since I did not use it it'll be used during ROC provided we have a interview then. I have posted this before, but it's most handy to post in your own thread so the people can find it readily. Lot's of items won't apply to you and I understand younger couples won't have near the amount of items. USCIS does expect you to have basic items that married couples produce together, so if you don't have it you only can bring what you have. Good luck to you all and I hope my little tidbits help you plan for your interviews:

I broke our materials down into folders (different colors) and carried them in a nice camo bag I had laying around. I prepared a master legend or key if you will so when the IO asks for a document or an evidence, I can look on my sheet and locate which color folder it is located in and pull the folder out and locate the document to give to the IO. Here are the documents I am taking:

All forms I-797C (Notice of Actions for AOS) included a I-797 NOA2 for the K1 also cause if you'll notice the interview sheet says bring EVERYTHING, they ever sent to you so we are electing to bring all but the kitchen sink!!!!!

Complete copy of the AOS packet and ALL supporting documents

    Current year 2019 tax transcript

    Job verification letter

    2 months of pay stubs

retirement pay letters (if applicable to you)

    USC passport

LPRs arrival documents to include K1 visa and I-94

    USC B/C

    marriage license

    SS card in married name

military ID card (if applicable to you)

divorce decree (if applicable to you) both USC and LPR

    health, dental and vision insurance

life insurances both for USC and LPR listing each other as beneficiaries

ROM (report of marriage) this is Philippines specific

last will and testament to include Texas advance directive and power of attorney (this is also great for ROC)

    utility bills with both names

    bank statements savings and checking

joint credit cards (actual card as statement does not list who made a charge)

large purchases receipt (furniture with both names on it)

assorted mail LPR has received at her present location we share

and finally, the entire copy of the K1 packet to include all documentation

There is no rental agreement or mortgage contract with both names because I owned our house before we married so I included a mortgage statement to show when the house was purchased before, we married! I also used the term LPR as my wife has her GC already. Several documents will be redundant because I did not want to break open the entire AOS packet until and if I need to.

Like I said we threw in everything but the kitchen sink and I would have included that had it fit inside my handy carry bag. As you know with my luck that I have had throughout this visa journey I can't be to unprepared. My motto "better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it!!!!!

    Hope this helps everyone!!!!!

Just want to let you know I also had an RFE in May, it didn't impact much the biometrics appointment since I already did it on the 13th of Aug.
I'm sure you'll get yours soon too!

Called to Uscis today again,  because on Monday they said that they gonna send some request to check about my biometrics and I was supposed to get an email update about it. Tier 1 officer was super nice and transferred me to a Supervisor officer.
I'm shocked after a call from the Supervisor officer.  She was rude, she didn't let me ask a question,  she was saying that other people waiting and just hung up, and she was screaming.
I was nice, quiet, and polite, and just wanted to ask what is the status of this request.
Plus that most officers are nice but can't help, but this time it what something.

Hey everyone. It's a sad day for me today as I had a death in the family last night. This is my second grandparent to pass during covid & my pending application.

I will ask for emergency AP again to attend the funeral and support my family. But I am very nervous that my biometrics notice will come when I'm in Europe. Do you think I can ask them to expedite my AP or combo card instead of granting me an emergency one as they did before? Like ask for an emergency biometrics appointment, followed by expedited processing or sth? I don't know if that's an option, but thought maybe one of you has any advice or insight.
