  1. Thanks for sharing that. Our situation is nearly the same. I would think as long as the A# matches, it wouldn't be an issue. And I'm always more worried about getting hassled by the airline rather than CBP!
  2. I tried filing out two e-requests and sent a snail mail letter. Our status changed to "Name was Updated" a week later but we never got a corrected letter and it's been two months now. I've called several times only to be told that "it would be taken care of" which it never was. Eventually I was told to call back if there is a pressing need (e.g. travel) for an InfoPass. I would also call and tell them you're traveling very soon to get the passport stamped if possible since the letter is not guaranteed to come.
  3. LOL if @tkyang99 listened to this very-highly rated post (and the other 20 posts parroting this nonsense) it would've cost him an extra 2 years of separation with his wife/kids. Congrats man - glad it all worked out for you. Everything is much easier to do stateside where you can have a lawyer on your side and stay together as a family.
  4. Not sure about the exact dates but USCIS received our I751 sometime late Feb 2021. We did have an AOS interview.
  5. New Card being produced! LIN filer here. Originally AOS'ed from B2. ROC interview Wiaved. Only took them 17 months but hey, we'll take it.
  6. Not sure they hate it at all... we adjusted from a B2 visa and had no issues. I met maybe 10 couples who did a B2/ESTA adjustment at her ESL class end of year party many many years ago. Literally no one got scrutinized about this at the interview. My wife does however know someone who blatantly used an F2 visa in place of a K1 and they got massively grilled for it with an immediate stokes interview... and they still got the green card. Not sure what the bar is (if there even is one) for a denial nowadays. I think the B2/ESTA AOS "hate" comes from a very small group of angry older guys who are very loud about it and never miss an opportunity to grandstand. Our lawyer (who had 15 years experience when we used her) literally never heard of an AOS denied for "intent". Yet you open VJ and you'd think it's equivalent to some serious crime.
  7. I kind of miss the old InfoPass system, where you could get an appointment within 1-2 weeks if you checked the online scheduler often enough. This new "system" is a total disaster. IMO stamps should be available via walk-in, no questions asked. The amount of hoops you have to jump through for a lousy 6 month stamp is ridiculous.
  8. Same here. I've been reading that same message for over a year now 😡
