GabeTravels reacted to Adventine in Wife (On 2 Year GC) and I (US Citizen) got Divorced. What do I need to do?
If she is sure that she no longer wants to live in the States, she should file to relinquish her green card.
USCIS process: https://www.uscis.gov/i-407
This is important so that she avoids being liable for US taxes going forward. IRS guidance: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/residency-starting-and-ending-dates

GabeTravels got a reaction from Hank_ in Can my fiancée do her medical exam and interview in the same week?
Echoing previous comments, I just got back from Manila 2 weeks ago.
Medical Monday/Tuesday. We arrived at 10 on Monday, and were back at the hotel by 1:30. Day 2 we arrived back at 10, and were done by 11:45.
Interview Thursday, just in case medical didn't go smoothly.
Still waiting for her passport to be delivered back...but all went well!

GabeTravels reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in How long to receive passport back after B2 interview?
I received mine two days after the interview. This was last June.
I don't think it is possible to expedite the process but when I was at the U.S. Embassy, those who were approved, myself included, were told that the turnaround time was five days.

GabeTravels got a reaction from Hank_ in Medical Exam - How Close to the Interview?
Thanks all. As much as I want to have the interview happen ASAP, we've postponed a few weeks so that we're for sure able to do the medical on Monday/Tuesday and the interview on Thursday.

Congrats! It's very exciting when that happens!
I believe I got my NOA1 within a week of my check being cashed.
