Try to call them and make an info pass and service request.  Do you have your VISA PACKET with you ?  if so , you need to call them right away and ask if you need to submit it in nearest POE to CBP to get your green card produced.  this what happened to me.

Yeah we’ve called them and have a Service request in, all my stuff was electronic so no packet with me. When we called the assistant said she could see no reason why it is taking so long as all was in order. So a mystery to me!

it can take up to 1 year. who knows how fast uscis processes now a days. what do you need the card for ? you already have a visa stamp in passport

Because unfortunately just having a ‘stamp in my passport’ IN MY EXPERIENCE thus far has led to a temporary drivers licence being issued which is not for federal use…..trying to be e-verified for my job will not accept said drivers licence as ID for this reason nor accept my ‘stamp in passport’. It seems nobody understands the ‘stamp in passport’ So yes having the physical card will be a lot easier to get things done. This is why I’m curious how long the card will take to be issued aside from the fact it’s over the given processing times and then some.

    Thank you for your post.

  3. Hi all

So arrived in the US in November last year on an IR1 visa,  and received my SSN by mail within 10 days of arrival. As of now I have still yet to receive my Green card, we paid our immigrant visa fee last August before entering. It has now passed the 90 days after arriving and on contacting USCIS was advised to wait until 120 days has passed, this also passed a couple of weeks ago and still no Green card.

Anybody any ideas on just how long things are taking right now?

  4. Our family of 3 went through T2 departure testing with express test (rapid test ) on 21st November prior to flying next day they let us in to test earlier than booked no problem and the 3 of us were in and out within 20 mins………3  results and fit to fly certificate came through on email within 45 minutes total. Couldn’t be easier!

Hey friends! I've been worried for a while about the above annotation that's written on my visa. After some research (inc on this site!) it seems its a waiver to do with a vaccination I potentially don't have - curious to know if other UK approvals also have this in their visa - is it because we're not given the chickenpox vaccination as standard? I also had to have the Tdap booster at interview, so is it that instead, and I got a waiver because I received it at my medical? I'm just wondering because it also seems it could relate to a health condition that's also waived so I'm wondering if I need to prep info on my disability to show at the border or not....

This just means that all your docs are available electronically on CEAC hence no big envelope to take with you, my IR1 Visa is annotated the same. And oops sorry read the question wrong lol…..please ignore!!

Sorry to invade the thread but my parents have their interview date in August and it says to take the originals of the civil documents - do they need all of my originals too like my birth, marriage, naturalisation or will a copy be ok? I'm the petitioner.  They have their original birth and marriage to take.

You need to take to interview the original of every document you have uploaded onto CEAC.

Still no movement…….I fail to see once notified how difficult/time consuming it is to log in to a case that’s verbally approved to review a scan upload! Unfortunately yes after nearly 500 days in this whole process frustration is setting in!! 😤……..Rant over.

And this afternoon the CEAC status has changed from refused to Administrative Processing 🤦‍♂️…….Patience is not my greatest virtue!

Until they finish with it or you request it back because you need to travel.  Some have ended up being there months.

The officer could be on holiday this week or has other things piled up to work on, plus the new interviews coming through. The delay doesn’t mean it’s bad news. When you get out of the queue for lack of a document, then you might have to wait longer for them to work you back in. Stressful? Yes for sure.

Very true….I know we are approved I was told at interview, I just had to upload the birth certificate that was seen at interview so I’m not expecting bad news. It’s just the waiting game still…..and the unknown of just when! I mean how long can they keep your passport? 😑

Did you upload the birth certificate shortly after the interview, after hours on day of interview, or the next day?

Within 2 hours the document was uploaded and submitted. So interview and refusal last Wednesday morning….birth certificate uploaded 2 hours later……emailed submissions on Friday midday who replied “case passed to the officer for review”. Today still refused.

I had my interview in London last week. I also got a green refusal form because my new police certificate hadn't been uploaded into the CEAC system. It was uploaded later that day.
That was Monday and my status was Refused. On Tuesday, it changed to Administrative Processing. On Wednesday it changed to Issued. On Thursday, my passport with visa was delivered to my house.
So hopefully you won't have to wait too long.

That makes me feel a little worse actually….my interview was 2 days later than yours and now it’s 4 working days later and still refused! 😬

  12. Anyone had a similar situation to me? Had 2 birth certificates, uploaded one to CEAC but then took the other to interview last Wednesday!! The CO gave me the green refusal form and told me to upload the one I had brought with me to the CEAC portal and then we will be good to go. The lady did keep my passport but I’m wandering just how long it may take to revisit my file. I did email the submissions email for London and they acknowledged my email and said my file had been passed to the officer for review. After nearly 500 days since we started this journey I guess a few more days won’t hurt but just how long……any ideas?

Nice one! If you don't mind me asking, did they ask much about taxes? My wife/petitioner is struggling to get the last 3 years of her taxes as I think the IRS lost the 2019 one. She has the one for 2020. The joint sponsor that actually makes money (wife is a student) is my Father-in-law and has all his stuff in order.

I'm worried that this would be the only grounds I'd be denied on. We've emailed the IRS, called them, nothing.....

I was not asked anything about taxes at the interview at all. We had a joint sponsor also and all his paperwork was in order and uploaded prior.

  14. So had my IR1 interview yesterday. All went well until I was informed I had brought the wrong birth certificate with me to the one I uploaded! I originally uploaded the one I had but then overthinking things I ordered another certificate with an apostille. This is the one I took with me which I hadn’t uploaded! So yes I received a 221g form stating refused pending the upload of the correct birth certificate which I did an hour later. The CO kept my passport which I assume is good, however now another wait as to when they get back to my file again. The embassy itself was pretty busy with both immigrant and non immigrant appointments. Things do look like they’re starting to ramp up a bit to be fair.

I booked an appointment online yesterday for July 1st and there were lots of open dates from July 1st (first available) through July 15th or 16th I think, nothing in June, in fact from memory there were appointments available on every day.  On the day I chose there were a total of 3 open time slots (all in the morning).  I should add that this is for an IR1 interview.

    Hope that helps.

Shows how quickly things change….I logged in at 8am and looked at a reschedule and there were 0 dates available! (IR1 also)

  16. I have my IR1 interview booked for 30 June having rescheduled from May, at the time and until recently there were several days a week showing as available but with limited timed slots during June and July. Now when you check in on the website it simply states there are no appointments available at this consulate.

It’s cool time isn’t our our enemy to be fair, we both live here in the U.K. together so we’re not apart. We will just reschedule an appt more suitable maybe June hopefully. However it is good to have the control back in the process!

Managed to reschedule my interview yesterday. Within minutes of missing the appt time scheduled I had an email to say missed appt and inviting me to reschedule. A couple hours later I logged in and was able to open up the calendar and choose a new date, there were several days a week available with varying amounts of appt slots running until the end of June. 😁
