I see many people are posting CEAC Case status screenshots saying “At NVC” or “In Transit”. Even though the K1 visa is Non Immigrant but they enter NVC case number (KEV) there in Immigration Visa section. Is this information legit?

Official: K1 is authorized to be high priority now! US Embassies - now your turn.

Schools are starting and students need to return so naturally they are now taking priority for a few weeks. Then it's back to CR-1 and K-1's. CR-1's have not stopped being adjudicated. Return to the main thread and look on the left column of approved visa's and you will see that they are populated with mostly CR-1's.
Your comment about students "bring more money to the country than other' looks to be an opinion. Do you have a link to any kind of study that supports your hypnosis?
Using "Seems like" in my previous message explains that "it seems like to me". So you're right here, I could be wrong.

Incredible how most embassies open are quickly processing student visas, but family based visas, like K1, are in suspense.
Seems like foreign students bring more money to the country than other. Also classes start this fall and looks like that’s a priority to bring them all to US asap.

Anyone tried to extend the I-129F petition because of embassies closed and no visa processing in their country? Ours due on July, 31. What actions should be done then?
I assume I need to write the email to Embassy providing all the information about petitioner and beneficiary with all the numbers. Please advise if you had any experience.
Thank you!

I heard that you need NVC case number in order to apply for DS-160. But after filling it out I didn't notice where I can enter it. Only noticed USCIS receipt/petition number to be provided. Any thoughts?

Hey everyone. Quick timeline share:
NOA1 - Dec 16, NOA2 - Mar 31. Case passed to NVC on May 4th. No NVC number yet. Starting to collect documents for interview.
My question will be: what documents should be required with Affidavit of support?
From what I have found online it is:
1. Form I-134 Affidavit itself
2. Bank statement
3. Employee stationery with date of employment and position
Should I also provide Tax return for the last year? Is there anything else I missed?

1. Usually guys don't have any issue if they apply before or after because it's assumed a woman will take her husband's last name. Overall it's better you apply ASAP
2.when filed with AOS EAD is free of charge
3. Yes She can fly around with her passport in hand and a copy of I-94
1. Great. So I guess we can apply for SSN on her last name after marriage anyways.
2. Wow, how I missed that... That's great then. Regarding the potential change of that from Trump administration, it hasn't been accepted and still on review. So we cannot say that they will increase the fee.
3. That's what I thought. Thanks!

Hello everyone. I've been monitoring silently this peaceful and helpful topic for a month and finally got some questions to ask.
My NOA1 for K1 was December, 16. My fiancee started gathering documents and doing vaccination while waiting for visa interview. From my side - I am trying to clear up further actions for next steps.
1. I'd like some advice on SSN after fiancee arrival. Is it OK to get SSN before marriage or after? Or actually wait until Adjustment of Status completed?
2. I am Chicago filler, wait time for AOS is about 6 months. So does it really make sense applying for Employment Authorization document, which ETA will be about 5 months and cost not little?
3. After entry to the US, can she fly around the country freely just using her passport? What about the flights to be occurred after 90 days of entry?
Thank you very much! If anyone has questions to me I'd like to contribute my experience!

What’s the status you currently have?

I did try , zero result.
What about you?
Doesn’t seem for me to have any serious reasons except breaking continuous residence but with tons of proving documents. I guess that was not the issue.
Is your case over 120 days of review?

No
You can try file an inquiry, maybe it helps.

I have been waiting since August ,
Pretty much the same time as I.
Do you have any concerns about your case, like tickets, taxes, continuous residence break? -

I have been waiting since Jun 18. This week it will be 120 days. I called multiple times USCIS, I did inquire after 90 days but absolutely no response. Very strange to me but there is really nothing you can do by yourself. You may hire lawyer and file lawsuits, but I really don’t wanna sue government. My interview was really smooth and nice , just at the end officer told me that my file is lost and they need 24-48 hours to find it. On my online is account is still “interview has been scheduled “
Wow. That’s a lot. I have the same status and was talking to some people, whose wait time was around month long. Hope you’ll get back from them soon.
Could you please keep us posted on when you get the response ?

Anyone waiting for the decision notice after “Decision cannot yet be made“ on Interview since September? Already 1+ month for me.
-
Wow. Then I’m wrong.
Have you had any issues with application?Taxes, continuous residences break etc?

Hello everyone. Got the “Fingerprints fee received” notification. Can I consider this notification as a sign that everything is good with documents we have sent and we are moving forward to biometrics and further? I assume request for additional evidence would have been before this step, right?
