our case was very simple. my husband was given the ds5535...
Could be because of the beneficiary’s name though.

Hi all,
My husband's CR1 application was approved one week ago and it still says "READY". I am getting nervous that the visa not been issued yet, since i saw the last 5 to 6 cases out of Cairo got their visa after 2 working days. Is there a possibility we are or going to be on AP?
It can take two weeks. Don’t worry!

You gotta relax .
People are stuck in AP for years sometimes. 3 months is not that bad yet. No one is prolonging this process on purpose. AP is always requires for additional checks.
What part of what he said was degrading? Don't be so overly sensitive.
Generally, they leave insensitive comments on other topics too. I have observed this.

Oh my goodness, who has a fax machine at home anymore? So impressed.
OP, if you don't have a fax machine but would like it faxed, you can get a fax number online for free or a couple of dollars, and have it sent there too. It'll come as email.
No you need to have your fax machine online and call via the cell number mentioned in the IRS documents. This is how we got ours.

Can they even fax a transcript? This isn't the year 2000...POTS lines are not qualified to transmit or receive PII-sensitive or PII-enhanced data. Also, how would they perform identity proofing before sending it? It seems kind of easy to steal somebody's info this way.
They verify your details.
Yes, it could be.
But I don't think that you would share such details with anyone.

Sure, how about from the US Government. See methodology. We even recently saw someone on VJ in the Philippines get one.
Of course you won't know until the interview if you are going to get one.
There is also a Security Advisory Opinion that affects 33 counties. Look under Visa Condor for Pakistan. These reviews now take longer to complete.

Technology alert list is for study visa and people who go their for research.

You won't get delayed on the interview due to anything related to your education or work experience.
If you worked or have an education and experience in certain STEM fields, it can raise additional concerns for background checks. Nobody knows for sure what will trigger it or not.
Your profile shows Pakistan - PCCs from Pakistan are not trusted by the US government, so there almost certainly will be some sort of delay after the interview to complete a criminal records check, if not an extended background check as well.
My name is very rare in Pakistan so name hits are unlikely.

What about those cases that are approved right away?

A DS5535 can be issued to anyone at anytime (at the interview stage) for any visa category.
Any references to prove your statement?

No,your educational background has nothing to do with a family based visa.at all.
Some people here on Visa Journey said that they got ds5355 on family based visa because of their biomedical background.
So that is only for visit or study visas?

Any engineer who went through any such thing solely because of their educational background?
-
Is this possible?
I have worked in a software house as a Quality Assurance tester and marketing executive for almost 3 years at a very reputed Us based company in my city.
Never worked in my own field but it’s metallurgical engineering.
Do you think that it can cause delays in my case on the interview day?

So, my husbdand is trying to obtain his tax transcript online on irs.gov but it wont let him. Recently, we just filed his tax return with h&r block as married filing jointy. Whenever he’s trying to register in irs.gov and put married filing jointly, it wont let him. But when he tried putting single, it goes in.
How should we do this
Call the IRS and ask them to fax you the transcript. Make sure your fax machine is on.

Wait till 8 weeks exactly. They will email you your login details along with the case number. Be patient.

Hey guys! I filed for my husband in January 2019. How long does it take for approval of I130 at the Texas office. I call every few days to stay updated and keep them on their toes. 😆 I know this takes a while I'm prepared. I was also told its being processed. Can anyone share their timeline. Also has anyone filed Janurary this year?
6-7 months for the i130, 8 weeks for the welcome letter and 3 months till the interview day!
It’s just how the process went for us as ours is also texas service center. Hoping my interview in May.

Yeah I've read that. And then 3 weeks to process documents and stuff? I know this part is faster thank god.
The second part is wrong. It depends on how fast you gather all documents required.
For instance, if all of your docs are ready now, the bank payment could take two weeks or less than that.
And after that you can submit your docs.
They take one to three weeks to complete your case.
In case, there’s a mistake in uploading or if they need more documents, it takes another two weeks.
So you should keep three months in mind from the day you recieve the welcome letter to the interview. Could be less than that.
Best of luck!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who is constantly checking her emails for updates. 👀 😂 I'm trying to be patient and hope I hear from the NVC soon. but it's so hard! I feel like I'm glued to my phone lol It took 8 months for our i130 to be approved, and now we've been waiting almost 4 weeks since USCIS sent our petition to the NVC. I just want the rest of the process over and done with so I can be with my husband 😩 How is everyone's process going so far?
It takes 8 weeks for the nvc welcome letter.
