  1. Hi guys, I’ve asked this in my sub-forum but would also like additional advice here.

About a month ago, we received P3. One of the documents requested is the most recent tax transcript. Since my most recent tax transcript is 2016, we waited until end of June for 2018 to be processed as stated on the IRS website... well, nothing showed up on my IRS account and when I called, they never received it. 😭Since I have to send in another copy, it will take at least 3 weeks to process. We didn’t want to wait any longer so we sent in my 2016 tax transcript, mine and his bank statements, statement from my employer, etc. Everything points to having well above the income threshold. I’m concerned they will still request the 2018 tax transcript. I wrote a statement to the consulate saying that 2018 is still processing. Did anyone else have this issue? Are consulates understanding of tax returns still being processed? Thank you in advance!

You'll have to wait till you get the transcript from 2018. No way to get around that. You can try and send everything else already but they'll probably ask for it before they'll allow you to book an appointment.

IRS says that it will take 10 days for them to process it so you should have it soon.

    Thanks for your response!

We decided to send it in. I called IRS and they told me it can take up to 21 days to process. We waited so long for the tax transcript to be available.... If I hadn't called, we'd still be waiting. It's very frustrating. We also called the consulate to advise but they said to send an email... We didn't bother. I agree, more than likely they will ask for the transcript. We're hoping that by the time they review our documents, the transcript will be ready. Our deadline is August 12.

  3. Hi Everyone, I apologize if this has already been addressed... Sorry, my fiancé and I don't speak German. (He is French, living in Germany.) I could really use your help here. We have our documents ready to send for P3 but we have some issues. I just found out that my 2018 tax returns were misplaced by the IRS so I need to send another copy to the IRS tomorrow and I have no idea how long it will take to process to request a tax transcript. My fiancé emailed the consulate and asked what alternative there was for a tax transcript and they responded that there is no alternative. I was below the income threshold to file taxes in 2017 so I am giving 2016 tax transcript and W2, along with a statement from my current employer (stating my income, nature of employment, and start date), 401K statements, a statement from my bank (stating my current balance, and when my account was opened), monthly statements showing my deposits, and finally, my fiancé's bank statements. My bank balances alone are well above the income requirements. I'm concerned they will make us wait for IRS to process my 2018 tax returns. Does anyone have any experience not being able to provide a tax transcript? Also, did anyone else give monthly statements to show the deposits? It's around 120 pages and they say to submit in duplicate... is it really necessary?! Please advise! Thank you in advance!!

Nice. Alerts are usually come in the morning that is correct ? We also doubt our evidences. I realized I could do much better and I am nervous about some stuff I sent without translation. I guess we will find out soon. I wish you a smooth journey from now on

I got the text at 12:30 pm. I really hope you get your approval soon. Would be nice to continue through the process together! I think the trick was to send a variety of evidence. If some of your evidence is not translated, it should not harm you if your other evidence is solid. Our initial evidence focused one 1 event because we didn’t want to cause any confusion but our second eveidence was a mix of evidences for several events.

  5. Has anyone received an RFE twice? I received an RFE for not proving enough supporting documentation for meeting within 2 years. I'm afraid my first set of evidence sent is not enough. I can provide additional evidence but it needs to be translated and it will cost more than the process of submitting this visa application. I'm hoping to avoid that but on second thought, maybe they don't give second chances to provide evidence? Any thought?! Thanks!

It has been 7 months since he was in Houston with me.  We are both incredibly blessed with the technology to be able to video chat every single day.

We did receive a NOID because we stupidly failed to provide my passport photo and his letter of intent to marry me.  They just requested those two items to be mailed back ASAP.  I am going to mail it with priority so they receive in 1-2 days.

I hope everyone else gets good news soon!

I am sorry that you received a NOID. I don’t know why you didn’t receive a RFE instead. I hope they will accept your documents and changed their decision. I’m attaching a photo to show you the heading of the RFE I received. It explicitly states Request for Evidence.

I accidentally replied to wrong comment but I haven’t received official notice in the mail (snail mail bites).  USCIS Automated System stated they sent me an I-797 notice of action.

I feel your pain. If only the automated messages were a little more detailed. This process lacks humanity and consideration for couples living far from each other. I'm sad to be far from my fiancé and feel like my life is on pause. I can't even plan a wedding without knowing when my fiancé would arrive.

We did not receive any RFE but we both failed to include our letters of intent and we didn’t provide pictures.

I did not find this website until after we filed our petition so we were both unaware.  It was our fault for not researching it further and rushing the process.

we hope for the best but we are expecting the worst.

Any update? Hoping for the best for you.

And don't forget the test of love too, I just simply kept telling myself why i submitted my petition in the first place. Don't worry you be approved SOON, be sure to message me once you get your approval so I can say "See I told you."!!!!

Yes, the test of love is a big one. The test of sanity. The test of loneliness... the list goes on! I will, and I hope soon!

I know what you are feeling, but don't be alarmed. You know that they are working your case because of your RFE, it's only a matter of a short time before you get your approval now, What was your RFE for if I might ask probably something simple I presume so don't worry.

Yes, thanks. The RFE was for additional evidence of having met. I hope it won't take them long to review. But your timeline puts me at shame for complaining 🤐

Was able to get a form to fill out from my congressman's staff (after a bit of ineptness on their part, which has me a bit worried), will be sending that back in about a week just as we go outside normal processing time, and following that up with my own inquiry via USCIS site.  Slowly transforming from Bruce Banner into The Hulk...

I'm right there with you! My NOA1 is 4 days after yours. I want this to be over already!
