I have a question, since I am in Oklahoma as well. I saw one of your previous posts about bringing the medical to the interview. I had the same question but haven't been able to find an answer. Since you have finished your AOS in OKC, can you tell me how that part went? Did they ask for the exam info again? I'm really worried about that part. Our interview is in October.

    Hi!

So for our interview, the officer did not ask to see anything the interview letter said to bring! We had everything prepared in a folder but they did not ask to see anything! So I am assuming everything was scanned in for his medical at the port of entry and was in the database!

We were able to find my husbands DS-3025 that was given to him during his medical exam at the Embassy before his K1 interview. I read and found that as long as you completed the medical exam within the year then just having the DS-3025 form that was filled out by the doctor will be fine. If you cannot find this form you can schedule an appointment with one of the approved doctors and they will re do the DS-3025 form. We were going to do that and we made an appointment at Passport Health and they said it would be $50 but then we found the form so it wasn't necessary.

  2. Hi everyone!

We just had our green card interview today in OKC! It went so smoothly, our officer was very nice! They didn’t ask many questions besides all the questions on the I-485 form part 8. They asked about some of our personal life but nothing to crazy!

We were approved on the spot and we got an email saying our case has been updated to “card/document in production”!

Our timeline adjusting from K1 in Oklahoma:

    Filed: 05/01/2019

    Biometrics: 05/31/2019

    Interview: 09/10/2019

  3. Hi!

I am not a March Filer but I am a May one.

I had a question for those who have already had their interviews.

Our interview is 9/10 and we are adjusting from K1 and on the interview form it says to bring I-693 (medical form) unless previously submitted,

When my husband arrived in America the port of entry officer took all his medical forms and did not give anything back to him, so we are worried we are missing something.

Do we need to go and have another medical exam done here in the US before his interview, or did the port of entry already submit his I-693 when he took the sealed packet?

What did any other K visa adjusters do for this form for the interview?

    Any help is appreciated! :)

what keys did you press to get to someone?

    i figured it out!

you press 1-1-2-2. then you enter your case number and you can stay on hold for a representative!

It took a while. I think in the end when I finally got it to work I went back to the main menu and pressed 1 (to get status update), then 2 (for people who don't know receipt number), then I think I had to press # because it asked for receipt number (even though previous input was for people without receipt number, go figure).

ahh, thank you! I just figured it out as well! except it let me stay on hold to speak with someone when I entered in the case number! I hate automated systems!!

Do you have to submit photos or do they click photos there during biometrics?

    Sorry for just getting back!

They take the photo during the appointment 😊

I am in a similar situation. Package sent 5/28, delivered 5/29. No text or email, and credit card has not been charged. Quite frustrating as I paid extra to overnight it. Planning on calling to see what, if any, information they can give me.

I assume the number I call is USCIS Contact Center toll-free at 1-800-375-5283. Can anyone confirm?

That is the only number I have been able to find to call!

    Oh no!

Have you tried calling and checking on your case?

I saw in another forum someone had the same situation and they called about it and like the next day they got the text messages with the case numbers!

We got our texts a week after they received our packet!

    Hi guys,

    I really need your help.

I passed road test today, but when I went to apply my formal driving license, they told me according to 'Admit Until Date', they cannot issue me license because this date will be expired.

I told them I got married in Mar, but they said they can only use this date in SAVE system to verify whether I have legal doc to stay in US.

I did some research online, our K1 visa holder cannot apply to extend this date to USCIS.

Will this thing also affect my green card application?

What can I do for my driving license, the only thing I can do is to wait for my green card? I am so sad that I cannot drive.

    Hi!

I’m not sure what state you’re in but in Oklahoma, you cannot get a drivers or state ID on a K1 visa. You must wait until green card or EAD to get one.

However, we went to the DMV and they told us that  my husband can legally drive with his foreign license. We also asked a few cop friends and they said the same thing.

We bought my husband a little truck to drive around in and put everything in both of our names! We got the title and insurance with no problems with his foreign license!

Same here! Big chances your husband and I were having our fingerprints taken at the same time :D

The staff at the local office is really friendly. Just had one tiny issue with my uber driver suddenly becoming very rude as soon as he realized where he was dropping me off...

Are you in Oklahoma City too?!

Oh no!!! Sorry about your Uber driver! Luckily we got my husband a truck to drive around in so I don’t have to take off work and he isn’t restricted to our house all day!

I believe it's an error as they even call it "Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status" and not the Supplement A for I-485. I think they just linked it to wrong page by mistake. We didn't file the suplement, nor have I seen anyone else (K1) to do it. We used this: https://www.uscis.gov/i-485

    Thank you!!

So, I went to click on the link again from the site and it now correctly lists the I-485 instead of the supplement form. Not sure, if a lot of other people were complaining/commenting on this issue or not but it is all fixed now!

  10. Hi!

Do you know if Supplement A of the I-485 is required for adjustment of status for K-1's?

When I go on the USCIS page( https://www.uscis.gov/greencard/adjustment-of-status) about adjustment of status for K-1 it says,

    "

    Eligibility for Adjustment of Status

You may be eligible for a Green Card based on your admission as a K-1 nonimmigrant if you meet the following requirements:

but when I click on that link, it takes me to the supplement A form and not the I-485 form... So I am wondering is the USCIS page has an error or if we are supposed to file out this form in addition to the I-485?

Please let me know if anyone is experiencing this or what forms they filled out!
