Yes, it is a shame...and more and more USCIS offices abroad are closing, supposedly due to low application volume.

I think this is really the only thing you can do. If they accept your case, great! If not, that's just how US immigration works unfortunately. You mentioned your wife is Chinese in a previous thread? That's one of the few countries that has multiple USCIS field offices....too bad you guys aren't living there. Regardless, at least you can be together during the process....many couples have to be apart for the entire spousal visa process until POE.

Understandable....I don't think they would view it as "wrong," probably more like "Well, you already have a petition in progress so just wait."

Did you attempt to check in with Frankfurt about it? I called up the office in Moscow when I did DCF and they answered most of my questions over the phone. Seems like Frankfurt has a phone number and email you could try:

You wouldn't be breaking the rules or anything...last minute job offers are considered for DCF so maybe just ask if that would be a reason to expedite your case if you had already filed via the lockbox.

Oh, hm, I really don't think they would judge you for asking about it prior. You don't even have to identify yourself over the phone, just say you're a USC and you're wondering about the job offer option even if someone has already filed via the lockbox. I sincerely do not think calling them would hurt your case at all and you don't have to provide any form of ID when calling in (at least this is how it was in Moscow). Honestly, they probably get calls about things like this all the time, especially since they are the only USCIS office for the entirety of central Europe...there's no reason to be that paranoid just for asking questions.

Hm. I thought @Paul & Mary had already answered this question in the last thread you posted?
Did you find some info otherwise that contradicted that answer?

I found a couple posts on various sites where people said they had offers with start dates 3-4 months out, and they were approved, but not specifically for this office. Based on that, it seems like the window is pretty generous, but maybe they're sticklers in Frankfurt. I don't know.

Yes, you will have to pay $535 twice.   But you don't have to pay the Affidavit of Support filing fee at the NVC of $120 if your DCF is approved.  Plus you can get in line now by filing in Chicago and if you don't get that job offer you haven't lost anything.

If you are seeking DCF due to "exceptional circumstances" such as a job offer, I believe you will do that via the US Embassy in Czech Republic since that's where you are now. You can contact them directly about it as @Paul & Mary mentioned. The Frankfurt office is for folks who live in Germany mostly, when it comes to filing the I-130.

Are you in Germany?   If so you can do an infopass appointment for the USCIS in Frankfurt.

If not them email the immigrant visa section of the embassy in the country you are in once you have the job offer.  They will then seek the approval based upon the circumstances.

You can still file, and pay the fee, at the US lockbox now since you don't have a job offer.   Once you have the job offer  and if you are approved for DCF, you can file , and pay the fee, another I-130 petition.  Once you are approved you write and cancel the other petition.

Have them draw up a lease - describing the living arrangements (how many bedrooms, bathrooms will be yours to use, what the expectations are of the shared spaces such as kitchen and so on) with the price per week or month.

Ok so I wouldn’t lie. If there's no formal agreement to pay, don’t make up something. In that case I would have them provide a notarized statement that they will be providing accommodations for you and your wife for x months at x address.

A lease will definitely do, you can also show proof of both of you being responsible for/paying bills to show proof of financial commingling. Photocopies of passport stamps work just as well for proof of travel along with pictures from the vacations. Don't worry about not having original film photos, a printed out word document of the photos with captions of where/when is fine enough. They usually prefer you send copies than originals anyways unless they ask for them.

Hey - this may be of help: https://www.visajourney.com/content/dcf

I was under the impression that not all consulates do DCF, so check if the one in Prague does because that would be the easiest and quickest way. You both would be able to do this while staying in Czech Republic, as far as I'm concerned.

May want to get in touch with Frankfurt USCIS - they’re regional so if you get a job and need to move they may take you for processing.

Make sure to include more evidence of your marriage; marriage certificates are required, but USCIS also wants to see things like pictures, trips together, and since you have been living together and have been married a longer amount of time, evidence of financial mingling such as a joint bank account, proof of residence together, insurance, and other things like that
