Update! I received the RFE in the mail. And they’re asking for proof of my citizenship which is insane because I sent a copy of my birth certificate. Has anyone heard of this happening before? Them asking for something that was definitely sent? Also I’m not sure what to expect as far as time goes...how long have people said it usually takes after evidence is sent?
yeah they lose things all the time I'm afraid. So many people post the same issues of sending and then they get RFE reporting its missing. Very disorganized process. I have seen reports of approval within days after receiving to a few weeks.

All - I recently updated the tracker spreadsheet. Had my case complete on May 15, 2019 and got interview date for my parents on Oct 9, 2019. It was a long, painful wait but it was really helpful to have the data in the trackers.
Now that the interview date is in place, I have few questions related to the US Consulate for Mumbai. My parents were able to get a date/time scheduled for medical test and biometric at VAC (Visa application center), Mumbai. Few quick questions
1. While the NVC website does not have this as a requirement, the VAC seems to indicate the need to take the petitioners tax return and employment letter. I'm planning to send both to my parents. They also wanted the DS-260 print out (which is fine). I submitted the IRS transcript to NVC and my parents will be taking a copy. Question is whether each consulate has their own specific requirements. Anything else we should be aware of for Mumbai as it pertains to IR5?
2. We set the post interview pickup location for Passport and immigration packet as VAC, Mumbai. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the passport/immigration packet after the interview in Mumbai?
3. Typically, what is the time period in which they will need to travel to USA. NVC has approx 6 months with a caveat the medical report may be valid for less period than that. Does anyone know how this works?
Thanks in advancehttps://photos.state.gov/libraries/mumbai/1057584/senkx/BMB IV Packet 4 Oct 2015.pdf

"Immigration purposes other than Citizenship"
This is exactly what they printed on the PCC.
"It is certified that there is no adverse information against Mr. Xxxx, S/o XXX, holder of Indian passport No. Xxxx, issued at Kolkata, on 11/09/2017 which would render him or her ineligible for IMMIGRATION PURPOSES OTHER THAN CITIZENSHIP for United States of America."

This is what they printed on the PCC. Is this correct as I have seen others that say travel including visa. Although both are technically correct.

Does USCIS pass along all of the bonifide proof of marriage I submitted to the NVC? And then does the NVC keep and send all that proof to the CO at the local embassy where the interview is done? just wondering if i need to duplicate proof at the NVC stage.

Please advise on what to select from drop down box for PCC?
"Residence Permit" or "Immigration purposes other than Citizenship"
I see that it determines what they print on the report. What does it say in the body of the report? Thanks

So don't worry. I just called NVC today.and they said waitttttt as usual.
I know somebody got Interrview letter cc may 7. So it's coming. But no one knows when we get it
September slots also closed according to someone's post.
Please advise on what to select from drop down box for PCC? "Residence Permit" or "Immigration purposes other than Citizenship" I see that it determines what they print on the report.

Aww sorry to hear..
It's just terrible with these embassies. We are supposed to be immediate right.. I don't know what they're thinking.. after NVC, it should be our finish line approaching. They want to delay us more. Arghh.
I wrote the mumbai.. but I heard they were backlogged the past few months for f2a and tourist, student visas. How about ir1/cr1 .. spouses. Like us. So ridiculous
I am sure they will now pickup the pace. So the time should drop by the time I get to case closed. I guess those who approved a couple of months earlier were not better off than us! Instead they waited longer for IL. Hopefully we at least get a month knocked off the time.

Maybe, but I129f for most is taking around a month, 3 weeks is the shortest I've seen
Actually it’s taking on average a little longer now with K3. Lots of 40-55 days

Processing times jumped backwards to May 23, 2018, basically saying it takes 12-15.5 months to process applications.
Yeah 12 months is right! It seems to be getting worse..
