please do let me know what other extra documents she can take with her so we are not into any kind of problem. I have send her everything from I-864, taxes, employment letter, bank statments, passport copies, birth certificate, emails, phone records, sms records, yahoo chat, marriage videos, marriage pic, and honeymoon videos etc also have send her all forums which i have submitted with USCIS and NVC. She is working on her PCC - passport, police her NOC from employer anything else u can think of please do let me know beside rashan card and voter card. I want to know what we can provide regards to immediate relative information how it should be defined on paper? what it should look like any example will be helpfull thanks lot in advance

u really dont need extra documents if u have sufficient income tax returns !new delhi visa interview is good if u submit relevant documents on time !

but tell her to take i-864 n taxex copies , bank statements etc , whatever financial suppports u have ! p.s videos , mobile phones and cds are not allowed in embassey so no use taking them - it will be deposited outside with a token given to you !

u can also tell her to take as a residence proof of her driving licensse etc , besides the voters card n ration card ,

if u really want to prepare for immediate relatives - on a paper make the names of all relatives with thr date of births , addresses n contact phone numbers from both of yours side .

u might also get it sweared from 1st class magistrate but the procedure is bit lenghty but considered more reliable , at times when the sirnames are common !

Hi all, I am new to this forum and I am planning to apply IR/CR1 for my husband. Currently he is working at Pune where he has a temp address. But his permanent address is the one from New Delhi. So, in the form I-130 which address should I put? And, whether the address mentioned in there should match the address in the passport by any chance, may be at a later time?

You should write an address where he will surely get correspondence. It is better that his address matches his passport's.

mine passport is really old so my address never matched my passport

I guess people from gujarat will be able to answer this question in detail? neways my wife lives in gujarat. On the mumbai consulate's website for PCC requirement it says that some district in gujarat no longer issue local PCC, in that case just bring Passport office PCC. Now my wife did try to get PCC from the local police station but was told that they cant give one. Now at the time of interview, do we have to prove that we fall in "the district which does not issue local PCC"? I mean should I get something from the local police station saying "they no longer issue local certi?". what do you guys think?

i think you should get it in written if they donot issue local pcc

or there must be a bigger police station undertaking all smaller areas if u can contct there and get it from there that will be fine too

for instance in my case the local police said they cant issue so i got mine from the main police station undertaking all the smaller police stations

Is the applicant the only person allowed into the consulate or anybody accompanying her also allowed in?

Unfortunately, I cannot be there in person and was planning to have my mom accompany my wife.

Just wondering if my mom has to wait outside the consulate or if she would be allowed to accompany my wife.

Any input is appreciated.

i think u should e mail the embassy n get it clearified i too have heard several cases where the mom or dad of usc were allowed in ,

my wife went to lister labs for blood samples, xrays, etc on monday

on tuesday, she went to one of the doctors that have been approved by the Consulate General Dr. N. Vijayalaksmi.

she said that my wife doesnt need any vaccination?? and she wrote the same in her report.

i thought that she would be given some by default vaccinations?? is it not?

any info on this regard would be greatful

it is normal for k visas for not gettng vaccinated but better if vaccinated in india n keeping records as it will be cheaper for lateron purposes

so expecting him to be busy with all of sudden his visas , flights n new life too when he will be in us

I contacted the congressman's office today and spoke to the office representative. He seemed to know a lot about the immigration process, especially for India. I was impressed with the information he had. However, his one comment left me confused. He stated that filing an I-129 doesn't help your spouse get here any faster. he called it a waste of time, money, and energy. However, from looking at the cases of other people here it seems that K-3 does help bring your spouse here couple of months faster because there is no wait time at the NVC. Am i correct or was the congressman's representative right?

i m pretty much sure 3-4 months are saved via k-3 for indian consulates,

if done on time ..

1) what exactly is the VFS role in K1 visa processing after packet 4 submission?

2) when the chennai consulate specifies in its website that DS-230 II is not required for K1 visa interview, why is it VFS morons insisting on that ? ( it is never mentioned in the interview letter nor packet 4 that K1 applicants need to submit

THIS IS DONE SO THAT ALL THE INFO PROVIDED BY THE CANDIDATE CAN BE SCRUTINISED VERY

WELL BEFORE THE ACTUAL INTERVIEW .AFTER PACKET 4 SUBMISSION THESE DOCUMENTS IS

RECEIVED BY THE LOCAL EMBASSY N VERY THOROUGHLY REVEIWED BY THEM .

2) DS-230 PART -2 IS NOT AT ALL REQUIRED FOR K-1 AND K-3 , COZ THIS IS BASICALLY FOR CR-1

AND IR-1 VISAS SO AS TO TICK IF THE APPLICANT NEEDS THE SSN AND SSC AFTER HE/SHE

REACHES THE U.S,

HOWEVER IF THE VFS ASKS FOR IT , THE APPLICANT MUST SUBMIT IT , COZ IT IS ALWAYS SAID

IT IS BETTER TO BE OVERPREPARED THAN UNDERPREPARED .

IT WILL HARDLY TAKE 5 MINS TO FILL UP DS-230 FORM .

i didnt submit ds-230 part II as my packet 4 never asked for it. Anyway i have filled a form and taking it to the interview personally.

I was so happy to hear this, but today I rec'd an email from consulate saying they have not rec'd the clearance form DOS as of yet?

I feel like I'm back to step 1, what do you people advice? Who should I contact next? I have already contacted my congressman and they rec'd the same reply from consulate that they are waiting for clearance from DOS.

This is really frustrating. I am trying to rationalize this by saying the mail was delayed due to national holiday. Am I kidding myself? This is the second clearance my fiance is going thru.

I feel like giving up this whole thing!

IF THE DOS TOLD U THT THE SECURITY CLEARANCE HAS BEEN FORWRDED TO THE CONSULTE THEN U CAN WAIT FOR 2-4 WEEEKS N TRY CONTACTING THEM AGAIN AFTER SAY APPROX 2 WEEKS.

I had a question abt medical report. Do WE HAVE to submit it at VFS office or she can take it along when she goes for actual interview? Will there be any disadvantage to us if we bring the report directly to the embassy at interview date? ne suggestions/tips?
