hi everyone ,

after reading some posts what i realised is we cannot lock our bags ???????????

after my interview i will be flying soon within couple of days -

so i really need to know urgently - cant we lock our bags that have inbuilt locks like the number we set in the locks and it gets locked?if not what kind of locks - i heard something like tsi locks ?????

also i want to know what are tsi locks and where are they available ?

Great details, Maya62! Yes it is pretty much the same even now. My husband arrived in late May. He was questioned for about half an hour and as I wrote in another detailed post, they gave him a hard time. Another friend on VJ, merijan, said when her husband arrived in late June, he was given a hard time too, questioned a lot in detail, and kept for hours (however, he was Muslim so go figure... discrimination of course...). However much mental torture they try to give, in the end they let allow our loved ones into America!

i am new to this site....i got interview date for f-4 visa next week in chennai consulate...for PCC clearance we got from local and district police office....when we applied for pcc in passport office they cleared my and my dad....for my mom they said u

will get after 10-20 days....can any one suggest me wat to do.....do u know any agents to clear this in chennai... i hav only 4

more dayss.....

can we just attend interview without PCC....

tell the passport officer or meet the regional pco giving the details of the interview do it asap

i am sure they will be helpful in this regard , the regional passport officer does hear to general compliants in the morning times u must enquire your regional passport ofice how to meet him ,

if they dont issue within time just ask them to give in written about the same n take it for the interview for your mom .

My understanding is: if the immigrating spouse checks "yes" in the box on the DS-230 form (asking if you want a SSN), then he/she will get one in the mail (only if you enter with CR-1) a few weeks after arrival in the US.

You might want to search or ask this question on the CR-1 forum or the Working in America forum....

Ok, my fiancee just got back from visiting the Delhi Embassy. Even though we have not received Packet 3 yet, she successfully dropped off the passport size photos, DS-156, DS-230, and applicant statements.

I made my own Applicant's Statement for her from the information on the Delhi Website, and I also printed out the Mumbai Embassy Packet 3 and had her go in with both; and the Embassy took both.

The embassy did not want the photocopies of her passport which we had brought. They did ask for form DS-156K which she didn't bring with her thanks to my stupid advice (I thought it was only needed for the interview.)

So... I have to send her back next week with DS-156K.

They said that it will take about a month for them process the paperwork, and two months thereafter she should have an interview date. So... if things go well, we should have a November interview. I'm not certain how accurate that information is; from other VJ timelines I have seen interview dates much sooner then 3 months after dropping off Packet 3.

even i feel delhi takes normally approx 2 to 2 and half months for interview ,after receiving the case from nvc .

Oh, I like Emon too. I really think his voice is smooth and he has a funny personality (I don't think he is overconfident like Anu keeps saying). I like Puja too. I am not a big fan of Ankita, she seems to sing the same fast songs everytime. And Prashant should be the next to go. :-)

I really wish they would create a round where they have to sing older songs, maybe from the 60s or 70s. That would really show their vocal range.

This is the first year I have watched it too, we get it on dish on Sony TV.

ankita seems a good singer as far as her lyrics is heard but her voice is bit like males n also she is so boring same kinnda fast songs time n again

I have a friend that married a younger Indian man and she ended up visiting him since it was a little harder for him to get a tourist visa. She applied for him a K1 and they were eventually approved but they endured AR/AP for about 2-3 months and interviewed more than once. The second interview was with the fraud unit. I suggest maybe that she come to visit you like the others have stated, gather plenty of evidence and make sure to keep records of phone calls. I used the house phone for long distance records once a week calls and then used calling cards to talk daily on the phone, internet chats printed off, etc. The difference in your ages will be looked at more closely but that does not mean you will be denied. Hi I am man of 30 from India and I am dating a lady of 52 from USA since 1 yr now.WE met at a online marriage site. So now we want to commensurate our relation more perfect through marriage. I haveplanned to go and date her in person for 15-20 days with a Tourist Visa to USA.While being there or after I come back to India ..... she wd apply for K1 and I wd wait here for the things to come to me.Now we have all documents like almost all chats , cams recorded , vice chats recorded , emails , courier receipts etc etc .

Is there anyone from specifically from India or may be some other country , who has gone through same situation as me ?? I mean I have been talking in the K1 forum , but all there says that so much of an age difference wd make visa officers suspect our relationship and raise too many questions.... I am just puzzled .............

i also feel why should common people suffer for mistakes of courier services

u must add the voice if they charge u extra for no fault of yours , then do get it sealed from the embassey n make it a point later to add your voice to it , even though u mentioned it in covering letter .
